I think my phone had a failed firmware update because it seems to be caught in a boot loop. I press power, home and the up volume keys and it gets to a screen that states Installing System Update and then it shows a screen like a dead android guy then takes me to the recovery window. If I just let it boot normally, it gets to a screen that states optimizing apps, it gets to a certain number and just restarts again. Is there any way of recoving this phone or is it a brick at this point?
Thanks!

So I was stuck in a similar mode (recovery download mode) yesterday, it only show Android robot with spinning gear on his back and a scrolling progress bar. I turn it off (Power + Vol Up) and then no matter what I do, just power or power + vol down all just go back to that damn robot.. Fastboot, adb won't work.. It show up on the computer as HTC Android Phone USB Device in the DVD/CD drives
It refuse to get out of that for hours.. I finally give up and I leave it running and walked away.. somehow when I got back (around 2 hours later) it is booted back to normal and asking for new setup. So I thought is working. So after messing up the initial setup, I when and try to factory reset it this morning.. and again it goes back into a similar mode, but this time it have the word Erasing under it. However this time it won't leave the mode even for 3 hours +. Anyone know how to get it out of that mode and maybe interact with Fastboot or Recovery or bootloader or something
When it is working... I could into booloader and stuff. The phone has been modded to play edition, S-off and bootloader unlocked...
However whenever that happen, if the phone is off but plug into a computer, it show up as QHS_USB_BULK. and then usually turn on and get stuck on that robot again... Also if I just keep pushing up an then power it will say formatting and then backup recovery log and then all the spinning gear and progress bar just stop
I don't get this thing. Please help
So I managed somehow to kick it out again (after waiting for a long time).. but wanted to convert the GPE back to original. Was following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523 but before I could go back into TWRP to load the new rom, I accidentally hit factory reset and it got stuck in the HTC version of that same screen. This time it have one extra line Backup CW Package.
Again can't get into the bootloader.. just stuck on this boot loop.. god damn..
Here is how it looks like

Hi Wonder if anyone can help?
I downloaded mirror beta from the app store to mirror my Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 to my apple TV3g.
Once downloaded i was informed that the device had to be rooted, so I used Kingoroot and followed the instructions. Everything was fine during the rooting process and completed informing me that it was successful.
The problem is after this the Tab is stuck in a constant cycle mode of the Samsang GALAXYTAB 3 boot logo.
I have managed to power it off ( Black screen) but have been unsuccessful in getting the device into recovery mode to try an hard reset.
I have tried all the button combinations I could find on Google but it only just shows the galaxy screen. Any help would be much appreciated since it is my daughters tablet and ill be in a valley of it if I cant get it restored.
Thanks in advance
Have you tried to Boot your Tab into Download mode?
If this working , flash Stockrom with Odin.
I'm in a similar situation with the logo boot loop except I am unable to shut it down. I hold the power button for 10 seconds and it reboots right back to the logo again with no shut down. How can I shut this down?

I got in the same situation trying to root my Tab. I wound up holding the power button down a really long time and then gently releasing; then I booted it into recovery and there is an "unbricking your 10.1 " post on XDA that has a stock 4.2.2 link.
Once you get the thing into recovery, and it took several attempts (like for two days)- I had given up and was thinking I had finally truly bricked an android) I got it into recovery and then used Odin to flash the original stock rom and it worked. Then Samsung almost immediately downloaded the OTA and I was at 4.4.2 stock.
The sd card slot is broken, so I am still trying to get the tab rooted, but for now just having it functioning in stock form is better than that Galaxy emblem slowly flashing every 5 seconds until the battery dies (Itried that too, thinking it may somehow recharge and reboot and something would be different-no such luck)
But I found holding the button down persistently made the difference, at least it seemed to.
Good luck
Phone: T-mobile Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919)
Android: Touch Wiz 4.4.4 FOH3 (Stock rooted)
Updated some apps in the app store, while they were installing I got dressed. When I picked up my phone it just shut off.
Thinking it was a dead battery, I plugged it in while in the car. It still doesn't come on. After awhile it would power on, I'd see galaxy s4 logo then the phone would shut off again.
Sometimes it would make it all the way to the T-mobile splash screen, and in some cases it would completely boot up into the phone, but then shut off again.
If I boot into recovery, the phone shuts off as well. Sometimes I can see recovery for 2 seconds then the phone will shut off...other times the entire screen turns bright pink
Now, before you tell me I have a stuck/bad power button. I can boot into download mode and the screen stays on the entire time. So how can that happen if the power button is stuck?
I've reflashed the stock 4.4.4 t-mobile rom and the problem still happens.
So maybe it is a faulty/bad/stuck power button. OR what I think is the case, one of those apps that updated had some bad code or malicious things happening that overload the ram.
How can I wipe my dalvik and other cache partitions to test that theory, if I cannot boot into recovery?
Update:
Had the power button replaced and even tested a different battery. The issue still happens......So I dunno wtf the deal is. I've also managed to get twrp back on and wipe dalvik and cache, still stuck in reboot.
Maybe my processor is over heating and I need a new phone or logic board?
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9195). I believe it was originally on the EE network, but then used on the Three network. I'm not sure if it needed to be unlocked for this to happen, or if it was purchased unlocked.
Starting with the phone switched off in each scenario below:
If I switch the phone on, it vibrates once and the Samsung logo appears. It then goes into an indefinite loop of vibrating twice, and the Samsung logo appearing, vibrating twice, etc.
If I plug the phone in, the battery appears with the grey circle inside. Without me doing anything, it goes straight to the Samsung logo, and then to the aforementioned indefinite loop.
If I switch the phone on, holding the home button and volume up to enter recovery mode, it goes to a sick robot with 'No Command' underneath and some text that reads 'Manual mode, appling [SIC?] Multi-CSC..,. Applied the CSC-code: BTU, Successfully applied multi-CSC'
I'm not sure what the 'correct' firmware to flash is for the phone or how to find out. I have flashed some 'BTU' 'stock' firmware a couple of times using ODIN; the result is 'PASS' but the boot loop continues. I have also flashed TWRP recovery using ODIN; the result is also 'PASS', but the boot loop persists as before after launching recovery mode.
Similar posts have been raised before, but I've never seen it answered.
Why is this happening, and how do I fix the problem?
Thanks.
Hello,
Just Installed Android 11 Beta 3, now I am in a boot loop.
I can force the phone into the bootloader (Power + Volume Down) But it will stay there for about ~10 seconds and proceed on its own to the boot loop again. Thus I don't even get enough time to get ADB/Fastboot commands working over USB. I'm kinda thinking this one is dead now, but it steams it it was killed by a software update.
I had been running Android 11 Beta 2 without much issue, today I did the OTA update (By going into settings and clicking update) to get Android 11 Beta 3. The phone installed Android 11 Beta 3 without issue, and was running fine for several hours. I went to use the phone, and the power button would not turn the screen off with a power button click, 30 seconds later of it being frozen, on its own (I did not press and hold anything) It went into a G logo boot loop.
I stuck it in the fridge (Very Hot stuck in boot loop), to no avail, it kept in the boot loop until the battery was dead (It was just a flickering red battery symbol on its own) I plugged it back in, Immediately into boot loop it went...
Thanks,
~
The partitions might be messed up. Did you have any important data on that phone? And was the bootloader unlocked?
