Since 5.2.1.1 update, my sideloaded Fios TV Mobile, DishAnywhere, and Mouse Toggle for Fire Tv apps are "not compatible with your device", on my Aftv 2. I guess this is because of Nimh.apk that was included in the update? Any workarounds to blocking the Nimh.apk from any Fire TV devices or Fire TV sticks, that haven't been updated yet?
Hi,
I had sideloaded Directv for tablet app onto my 2nd gen Fire TV Stick running latest version and successfully login to my account. However, the app is keep crashed randomly every time I run the app. it is a matter of time, sometime it crash during navigation within the app, sometime during streaming LiveTV.
Anybody had same problem with me? Please let me know how to get rid of it. Is it crashed because of Fire TV stick have lower spec than Fire TV so that it can't handle Directv app? Does Fire TV handled it well?

Hi,
My Panasonic TV normally switches on automatic when I press a button on the remote of my second generation fire tv stick, but this stopped after the June 15 update on my stick. Hdmi cec is turned on on the stick as well as on the TV. Is it a known bug? Or what else could I check?
Seeing the same on a Phillips tv. Stock FireTV Stick v2
Ditto, same problem with HDMI-CEC not working

I am also experiencing the same problem with Nvidia Shield 1st generation and the AFTV 2nd generation box. Each box got an update within a week or two from each other. After the updates, none of the AFTV or the NS boxes HDMI-CEC features work anymore. I have checked and rechecked and have completed a series of resets and tests to verify functionality, but each had the results of not working.
I am wondering if the developer vender is the same one that is hired by each company. If that is the case, then there could be more devices out there that is experiencing the same issue. Anyone have a fix or know of a knowledge database where I can check to see if there is a fix or a workaround?
Try the Home button on the fire TV remote. I noticed the same behavior with/to my LG television, formerly every button switched on my TV. Since the update only the Home works.

Has anyone figured out a fix to this? I am also experiencing this issue on my Samsung TV. I've tried all buttons, no avail. This issue exists on both of my Amazon devices: Fire TV 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen.
Same here
I have the same problem. Hdmi CEC stopped working on my Fire TV (1. Gen). CEC ist active on my TV and Fire TV but the TV (Samsung) does not turn on anymore. Failure is in Amazon device, because my Google Chromecast and PS4 do turn on the TV. A already swapped the Hdmi ports to exclude failure in the port on the TV. I'm sure the Amazon Fire TV is guilty. Amazon is crap in terms of software development and bug fixing. For example, the android companion app for alexa does not work on my devices with android pie. It crashs at start. Amazon support told me, I should test an older version of the app... several month passed, still no solution - that's very unprofessional. I replaced all Echos by Google Homes. Now it seems, it is time to replace all Fire TVs.
I purchased an Fire TV Stick 4k a few weeks ago.
Last week, Alexa stopped responding normally, but instead says:
"Please set up Freetime in the Alexa App on this device"
I do not have kids profiles at all on my account.
I cannot find any Freetime App on the Fire TV Stick 4k.
What am I missing?
Do I have to factory reset?
I seen various reports, some on Reddit about being able to run the latest version of VuDu for Android TV (6.1.1129) on an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
On my Gen Stick, it shows a splash screen then immediately stops. Sometimes it shows the splash screen again withoutpressing anything.
I've mainly seen people mention that they use it on their Fire Stick 4K.
Other than newer OS, is there something stopping it from running ona Stick Gen 2? It says arm-7a and Android 5.0+ which should be no problem then.
I can start the tablet version of VuDu it will just require a mouse to be used.
