My screen is broken. I've ordered an LCD assembly replacement off ebay, which had a strong yellow tint and started to malfunction after about 2 min of use. I've tried looking for OEM screens, but all I can find is sold on rather sketchy sites. The only OEM screens I found are for the Mi5S Plus model. Can anyone help me find a trusted source for a display assembly that actually works?

Well, as luck would have it I tried replacing my broken glass but damaged the black screen that attaches to the LCD in the process. I guess I need a whole new digitizer assembly now. Where is the best place to get them? Looks like all the different parts stores around the web (Amazon, ebay) all have generic knock offs. I'm OK with that as long as they work, but the reviews don't ever seem stellar. Any advice? Thanks
So I cracked my screen last week (hard fall to asphalt from my side pocket shorts which I have now burned) and cracked the glass, both the LCD and digitizer are okay. But since the whole assembly is fused together I'm opting to replace the whole thing instead of buying a hot plate + clamps and all the other tools for replacing the glass which will cost more than the assembly itself
So now I need an entire black front assembly but it has to be OEM, at least the LCD+ Digitizer + Corning glass. I really don't care about the frame I could use my old frame but given that the difference between the whole assembly and the screen itself is ~$10 the point is moot.
Can anyone who has done this job before send me a link to an OEM assembly w/o or w frame?

Have you ordered this screen and was it good quality? I have been trying to find a true OEM screen assembly somewhere but everyone I look at seems to be aftermarket junk. If someone can point me towards a true oem, good quality screen with personal experience it would be greatly appreciated!!

You are needing to look at ifixit, its not cheap but it is OEM and guides too boot Here
Ifixit rocks
z
2 Suppliers I use on Ebay have always shipped OEM replacements are fix2save and usmobileparts
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=13145429939&alt=web
I have ordered a few from others and they were off a bit. these 2 sellers have been legit for me.
Btw trying to change the screen assy without damaging the frame is extremely difficult and you'll probably end up damaging the frame anyway. LG likes to use some sort of RTV type adhesive on the N4 and N5. If the LCD is still intact, buy the whole Display with frame and sell the broke one on eBay for about $10.
Changing out the Display with frame takes less then 20min, otherwise you're looking at about an hour and possibly damaging the frame.
I dropped my P600 and broke the digitizer. I read here that it was nearly impossible to replace just the glass, so I bought a replacement screen assembly from etradesupply, where I have had good experiences in the past. However, the quality of the screen is night and day from the original. The original screen was one of the clearest and sharpest I've ever seen. The replacement is muddy and has persistent bright spots throughout. I thought I could live with it, but I'm having a hard as I remember how great the original was.
So far, I can't find anyone who sells an original Pentile screen made by Samsung. Even the ones that claim to OEM are really just OEM-compatible. Anyone have any ideas? My other thought is to look for a broken Note 10.1 and transplant the screen, but most of the broken ones have broken screens!
Any help is appreciated!

The screen is the most expensive item and since it's an old device, I would recommend to buy another used one instead. You could try to sell or use the old one for parts. It will cost you more if you tried to replace just the screen, not mention all the time, labor and headache...
Samsung will install new oem screen for $223 (including shipping). Cheapest oem screen I found was $175. Worth the extra $$ to have someone else install it and get a 90 day warranty, just call the Samsung warranty #. They will arrange the non-warranty repair. I received mine back from Samsung four days after sending it.
Hey guys my screen is broken, but the touch screen is not, but some guys told me to buy the touch screen too. If someone here got broke his mi max and he replace the screen please I would like to know which screen he bought... I heard a lot of things about the colours. That the market screens are not original and the colours are very weak. So PLEASE.. I need you IMMEDIATELY
In generally...
Firs of all check with Aida64 which panel is used as their is more than one used in Mi Max. Usually it is Tianma R63350 & all do Tianma have a very good distribution network across the EU you won't find any references for this particular display. Second part should be to check if it's just touch panel/protective glass broken or you need a complete set (touch, glass, LCD).
Digitizer/glass will cost you 8.30$

Complete pack with LCD/Digitizer and glass will cost you 35~36$ (tip don't pay more for it).

Warning; before purchasing the set be certain to see & confirm (from seller side) how its a same LCD display!
For additional info, finding possible better deal, replacement guides and cetera just search in browser for "xiaomi mi max display replacement".
My personal advice is that when you purchase the part's gave them for replacing to skilled professional in mobile services repair shop close to you & naturally try to bargain about the price.
Best regards.
I just bought whatever was cheapest on eBay. I haven't noticed any issues with the screen but the three buttons below the screen are no longer evenly lit, it used to bother me but now I don't even notice.
I have never replaced the touchscreen and screen separately, but when trying to replace my screen I definitely broke both so I would recommend buying both parts. Try to get the glue for the screen too! I had to use some super glue so I am pretty sure I can never replace it again.

Dude this is a OEM screen, I am very sure that the colours won't be the same as the original's.. I bought from dragon-tt.Com about 77 euros almost... Screen and touch, and frame-back panel
I pulled my screen off to fix an issue with my main speaker. In the process I messed up my digitizer display. I bought a replacement off ebay and it is garbage. Color does not look right, and not sharp.
Anyone have any success with a replacement screen/ digitzer that was resembled the original? Where did you purchase?
Thanks
