Ok this is the situation:
yesterday my phone started malfunctioning, my screen was flickering going to white then back to color, when i turned it off using the power button it dies and needs a reset to turn back on. i contacted imate and they said to reinstall the ROM i started to do so but it kinda got stuck and said there was a different language rom (even though it was what i put on it a month ago) anyway i disconnected it and now i am stuck with the bootloader screen (says serial v2.06 and when i connect it to the hub it changes to USB v2.06) i canceled the active syncs usb connection but when i tried to reinstall the rom it just gets stuck and gives me an error 201 cant get data from device, also when this happens the device gets stuck on USB even if i take it off the hub (it is supposed to change back to serial) and if i dont reset it windows says the device malfunctioned and doesnt communicate with it. Please help
Try using the usb lead direct to the usb port, sometimes the hub will make it fail.
I cant cause this imate just came with the hub and it specifically states that it has to be connected to the hub AND the hub has to be connected to the power supply

hi my friend, i had the same problem with my t mobile mda 3. it is fixable . the problem simly is that your rom is erased and you need to get another one by upgrading it. that's all and i recommend using cradle if you have one. i upgraded mine to 1.40 i mate rom.

I have bought my samsung i780 just for a week. I would like to connect it to my laptop to update the contacts and save the pictures. I installed the ms activesync 4.5 and plugged in the data cable (type: APCBS10BBE and also tried APCBS10UGE). The windows sent me an error message about could not recognise the phone. I have not installed any specific usb driver. I tried plug in and out the cable more times (about 10-15) and once there was a success, the synchronisation was fine. Everytime when i try to connect, i have to repeat the plug in/out procedure about 10-15 times... I am afraid, this is the i780 usb connectors fault Is there any other possibility to fix the problem whithout change the connector?
Could you be so kind to give me some advices?

Thanks, but i've already tried the bluetooth for connetcting to the activesync. The problem is: I can't set up the bluetooth serial port on the i780 to the same as the pc bt serial...

I got a i780 with CoinJun's Rom which version was forgot.I often can not sync to my pc.I upgraded the new ROM which version is PDXIB1 downloaded from samsung.Now,it is ok.
i have a big problem. i have a samsung i780 with orange rom (pbvic2), he wont connect to activesync, when i put the cable usb in, he charge, red led is on, the pc make sound connection, on the phone appears "connecting to host" but nothing. And another problem is that he see the sd card, but the computer wont, i try another card, the card reader is seeing , after i put him in the phone he become invisible on the pc, he corrupte them, pls tell what to do, or maybe i need to change the rom? but how ? becausae i have no pc connection...

My galaxy note 2 will not connect to my computer (Mac, mountain lion) at all.
Everytime I try I get the message from Android File Transfer saying "Could not connect device" "Try reconnecting or restarting device".
I have done this so many times but still won't work. The kies software does not work either.
Any advice or help would be appreciated. I should say though that when I first got the phone i was able to connect it to my computer. However, after I unlocked the sim that's when it stopped being able to connect. Not sure if this is related or not.

My LG G3 has had a problem for a while now, and it is out of warranty so I cant get a replacement or refund and I would like to get it working. There is currently no MAC Address on the phone, so it cannot connect to the internet or use bluetooth. I was planning on rooting the phone to try and fix this, but I was stopped when the phone wasn't noticed by my PC. It does not give me the option to change between MTP, PTP or just charge but instead shows that the phone is charging as if it were plugged into a wall. I cannot access the files as there is no phone showing up on my PC, but instead found that the phone was down as LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM5) under Ports in Device Manager.
I have tried factory resetting the phone but this does not work.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
