G920P Bluetooth Issues - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

I recently switched over to a G920P, coming from a G920W8 that died.
I'm having issues with the bluetooth connecting to my car. I did not have any issues previously with the G920W8. I would start the car and the phone would auto connect everytime without issue.
Now with the G920P, it doesn't auto connect at all. I have to manually select my car in the BT settings everytime. Most of the the time, it doesn't even connect on the first try. It "fails to connect" a couple times eventually connecting itself.
It's the same hardware in both phones as far as I know. I've contacted Samsung about it, they say it's most likely a software issue with the sprint variation of the phone. Highly doubtful they do anything about it, so here I am.
Anyone have some suggestions?

install a custom rom. Aurora rom seems like a good choice.

[Q] - Bluetooth issue Leedroid

I'm having, to be fair, a small issue not found on the stock Rom. So if anyone has an idea what it is or how to fix it. Very much appreciated.
Right, I use my phone to play music in my car (Toyota prius) through Bluetooth. I've done so for a year or so one my desire hd. Then a few weeks ago I switched to the one x. Stock Rom, connecting to Bluetooth was fine. Reconnecting as well. And now the issue: I can connect for the first time (pairing), but when I try to reconnect it won't work. I have to delete (unpair) the connection and recreate it before able to use it again. So whenever I loose the connection, the only way the establish it again is to re-pair the connection. I've tried with 6.20 and with the new 6.40 version. I've went back to stock and working correctly then again. Full wipes.. multiple times. Yet I can't find any posts searching for it so I must be missing something.
Appreciate the help. Currently enjoying leedroid 6.40 very much as battery live is just amazing (worth the hassle of this bt issue).
Ps. Just don't tell me it's some button I forgot to press... If that's the case, I'll /facedesk myself a few times ;-)

Hiya mate,
I think this problem could be on the new stock rom too. Someone's posted in the General Forum along exactly the same lines...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694096
Connecting my One X to my BT car radio always worked fine. After installing 1.29 however I have problems. When connecting, it connects for a couple of seconds and then BT and Data shut down. I get the warning that there is a problem with Com.android.phone
I have to restart the phone to get back my data connection.
Anyone have any suggestion?

Sorry it's not a solution, but at least it's not just you or LeeDroid
Cheers, I also tried different kernels, but nothing.
We'll see in the future, it's no biggy.

Note 2 Connections Issues

I have a Rogers Samsung Galaxy Note 2, stock on 4.1.2. No Root, No Nothing.
I was going to flash it back to 4.1.1 but couldn't. The computer can not see the phone. I changed, updated all drivers, but the phone is not seen. The USB options that come up on the phone don't even show up. Even tried different computers.
That was fine, a weird issue, but I also can not connect to any WiFi connection, don't have the ability to try mobile connection. It says obtaining IP for awhile, and then says Connection Disabled, Poor Quality. And keeps going in circles.
So I am thinking the phones hardware is messed up badly. Anything I can do, any ideas, suggestions? It was purchased second hand, so I am thinking the person could have scammed me, or I dunno.
Thanks.

[Q] WiFi Drop Issue

Ok, when I am connected with my home WiFi and I am connected for awhile suddenly it will say "Disconnected" and I won't be able to connect to it at all.Even turning off my phone or wifi doesn't work. It eventually will connect after awhile. I wouldn't mind if I had 4G but I'm stuck on edge until Septmeber-ish. I had the problem starting with 4.2 and still have it in 4.3. Is it a hardware issue? A coding issue? I've tried different roms, different kernels so don't recommend that unless it has some magical fix powers.
I think its a problem with the phone it's self. Mine does it all the time at my home. Not as bad,but I'm on stock w/just an unlocked boot loader

[Q] Wi-Fi issues with the new update?

So i recently got an update for my phone, and it auto downloaded it. I installed it, thinking it would bring improvements. Turns out, it messed up my wifi big time. Phone keeps forgetting networks it was connected to, and its a hassle keeping a stable wifi connection. It keeps disconnecting for no reason. No, its not a problem with the router. I tried resetting it and still the issue persists. Moreover, my family members phones and my laptop connect just fine.
Troubleshooting steps ive tried are restarting, and even resetting my phone. Did not work. Does anyone know how to fix it? It would help out a lot! Attatched screenshot with my firmware version. Thank you!

[SOLVED] Please Help - WiFi Frequently Disconnecting in Android Pie ROMs

The WiFi on my phone disconnects for about 2 seconds (every 15 minutes or so) for no reason at all. I have the same problem on EVERY single Android Pie ROM such as Lineage, Pixel Experience, AOSiP, AEX, etc. When the phone is in sleep mode the Wi-Fi will NOT reconnect, which means I constantly miss important notifications such as messages from friends. Also, when watching YouTube I keep seeing a message pop up saying 'Back Online' due to the WiFi disconnecting.
I have seen a couple of people on the forums with the same issue, but a solution has not yet been found. I know this is NOT a problem with my home broadband because I don't experience the same WiFi dropouts on other devices.
If anyone knows a solution to this problem, or just has a suggestion, PLEASE let me know as I would REALLY appreciate it.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I will keep that in mind, I can't remember whether I tried Carbon ROM before.
However I have to think this problem is related to something more specific than just ROM, because if this problem was present on all installations of these popular ROMs like Lineage, AEX and Pixel Experience (as I have tested in my own experience) then we would likely see a lot more complaints about it on the forums. So I think the issue is related to something to do with a certain setting or configuration.
It is a VERY frustrating problem because I can't leave my phone for 15 minutes without it disconnecting from WiFi and loosing access to notifications.
Not that this will help but in the past I had issues with Samsung OEM ROMs I flashed using ODIN (equivalent to our QFIL) a firmware from another country and for some reason even though technically my phone WAS compatible, I would have similar results to yours. If I were you I would back up all your data and try a few different QFIL to see if you have any luck. I flashed the LATEST QFIL (not using miflash etc) and have never had any issues with my zuk

Thanks for that. I agree it might be the cause of the issue, something like what you describe. It would make sense because I have only found 2 other people on XDA with the same issue, and the problem happens on every ROM I have tried. I have owned the ZUK Z2 since 2016 and only now, in these past 2-3 months, am I experiencing these problems with Wi-Fi disconnecting.
From what I can see the latest QPST is 3.5.389 ST, so I will try flashing that next week (once I'm back from vacation) and see what happens!

Well, I tried flashing the 3.5.389 ST QPST and then flashing LineageOS 16.0 on top of that, but the problem is still the same. Wi-Fi disconnects for a few seconds whilst using the device, and also whilst the device is in sleep mode. Except when it disconnects in sleep mode, it will NOT reconnect meaning I miss all kinds of notifications until I manually check my device.
The frustrating thing is I don't know for sure whether it's something to do with my home broadband or router. But all of my other devices (such as Windows laptop) STAY connected at the same time my ZUK looses connection. So I have to assume it is software-related on the ZUK.
If I can't solve this soon I will just go out and buy a new phone. I can't deal with missing important notifications. It is sad because I really liked this phone and have kept it for 2½ years. I don't understand why this problem suddenly started because it was fine before.

After you flashed the QPST did you boot into the rom and try using oem zuk to see if it resolved your issue? Apparently that fixes quite a few problems but requires actually booting into the rom. If you flashed an official QTSP using deep flash (not miflash) anf it STILL has that problem then it must be internal hardware. Guessing you have tried connecting to someone elses wifi and it does the same?

Thanks. Well, sometimes I visit a relatives house where I can connect to a different router, but usually I am not there long enough to test whether the phone stays connected. But in response to your other question, I did boot into the ZUI ROM after flashing the QPST. But I didn't test to see whether the problem persisted because I hate ZUI and could never use it on a daily basis when there are other, much better stock Android-like ROMs available.
I was in contact with someone else on XDA who had the EXACT same problem and he suggested trying the latest build of AEX which seemed to solve the issue for him. So currently I'm trying that but I haven't had enough time to test it, yet. So far I have not noticed the phone disconnecting but it has only been about 1 hour since I flashed the ROM. I will know more after a few days of testing.
Switching to AEX made no difference. Still no success despite wiping entire device and flashing stock ROM with QFIL. I have tried almost every Android Pie ROM including LineageOS, AEX, AOSiP and Pixel Experience. I also changed channel on my broadband router. Nothing works.

Then it may be a hardware problem, the antenna wires can be disconnected or damaged. Have you tried a stock Rom?
@1qazwsx4 @bordi21
After an entire year of this problem, I have FINALLY found a solution to my phone disconnecting whilst on home Wi-Fi. Turns out it is nothing to do with the phone or custom ROMs...
In the router settings there is an option called 'Enable IPv6 on LAN side' that is checked by default. I unticked this and now my phone is able to hold connection flawlessly!
