Hi Guys,
I wanna replace the battery and cracked screen on my lovely HTC10, however I dont have a heat gun.
Has anyone tried it with hair dryer?
What are the other alternatives If there is any or should I just go buy the heat gun?
I have a lot of experience of replacing these kinda stuff before, like the ones doesn't require a heat gun(iPhone5, lg g3, blu etc....)
Cheers,

Hi, recently loud speaker on my n7100 died, then it worked again, then it died, then it worked again, then it died again and stop working completely. So I assumed that he might lose connection and I disassembled my phone. While I was doing that, I used thin plastic card to remove the frame around the screen and somehow I managed to push the card in between digitizer and glass of the screen :good: Damage is not that big but its strange looking and Il lose some money when i will selling the phone. So my question is
Q: Is there a way to fix slightly unglued screen and how?
Please dont give me advices like buy new screen ect., I only want to now is it possible to fix this in any way, maybe heat it with dryer or something similiar...Im not in opportunity to post picture of it right now, I will do it in next few hours.
Sorry for my english.
Thanks in advance!:cyclops:
P.S. loudspeaker is working again

Remove the glass with a heat gun, clean up and put stick it back with LOCA glue. A tricky operation that may do more harm than good. There are plenty of tutorial on how to do this as is is an cheap way to fix cracked screens ( ex : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ_te_pTXJI ).
Maybe just heating it is enough, you may try it, just don't overdo it as too much heat (> 90°C) may damage your screen. An IR thermometer is recommended.
Hi everyone,
My SGSII has gone through a lot and I would like to see if I can "refresh it"
I've seen on the web people that sells spare parts for the phone, however I'm not sure what to get because I do believe the phone has like 3 frames.
The screen is perfect, maybe a really small barely noticeable scratch, the middle frame (metallic?) is the one that is really damaged taking drop hits, battery cover might be replaced.
Do I have to get the screen or digitalizer as well? I have seen some procedures and they basically rip apart the digitalizer damaging it for good.
Thank you for your time and help.
Seems you can't change the digitizer without the screen with this AMOLED display type, which is very expensive. Not worth it on an old phone. Slap a bumper case on it!
I owned my HTC One M8 in December 2014. Well of course it has many scratch and bruises for a long time of use, and especially the one big crack on the screen(top to bottom) but it doesn't obstruct the view. No issues on any input and camera issues, no battery issues either. Just aesthetic issues.
My question is. Should I risk repairing the LCD and the battery cover/whole case of the device?
Here's the parts I'd buy:
LCD http://www.ebay.com/itm/for-htc-one...sembly-frame/321906636620?hash=item4af321774c
Cover http://www.ebay.com/itm/gray-batter...-one-m8-831c/201373055251?hash=item2ee2c4f913
I would also buy prying tools at the local store for about 6$
It's really hard to repair/replace parts in this phone.
You risk damaging something in it if you're inexperienced and/or don't know what you're exactly doing.
But if you feel you can manage it and got some backup phone in case it gets broken then you can try. I'd like to replace battery in mine, but honestly the complexity of it scares me a bit, even after I managed to fix my brother's iphone4.
Honestly as long as it works I wouldn't risk it.
