Anyone figure out how to get it working over ATT?
I thought it was good to go, but after turning on NFC and downloading the app, it says not compatible.
Which is weird since its an unlocked phone.
Do you need to turn on NFC while downloading? Did you try downloading with NFC off?
Maybe either the frequency or software might not be compatible.

Someone with an Xperia Z was able to get it to work. Maybe you could test yourself and report back.

Is anyone else having an issue with NFC. Mine wont switch on. When i tick the box, it automatically unticks. I did copy down a load of app data so maybe i copied over a system one automatically. Any ideas?
Edit: Uninstalled the re-installed Google Wallet. Went in to apps -> NFC service. Cleared all the data and stopped the service. Rebooted the phone and it worked fine. Chose Google Wallet as wallet provider, turned the screen off, then turned it back on and now i'm back to the same problem.

Edit: Worked perfectly. Now i'm hoping someone creates a flashable fix for Google Wallet. I dont like manually fiddling with prop files.

On my zl c6506 at T-Mobile but not buy anything yet
Installed it this morning via the method listed and used it to pay for a purchase an hour later. Suddenly, I don't miss my Galaxy Nexus any more.

Me too, followed the instructions on the Z forum @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40897879#post40897879
The only thing was I left the build.prop with the Galaxy Nexus settings .. changing them back to the Xperia entries broke Wallet after a reboot.

why u can't change it back??! I can change back to sony without problem
there is one thing after install wallet don't update from market.
No idea, each time I revert back to the Sony build.prop after a reboot I get the Google Wallet message "Your device is not supported". When I use the Nexus build.prop is works fine. Odd that I'm getting this error.

So, by all the posts here, Google Wallet does not work without some hackery? I find that interesting, considering it seems that the phone intentionally supported it. I'd love to know who dropped the ball here, Sony or Google. I would love to have Google Wallet working on my ZL, but I refuse to root my phone and alter the build.prop to get it there.
It's definitely Google's fault here. They update Google Wallet every so often with new handset support. Maybe in the next update...maybe.

I kind of figured that would be the case. I hope Google decides to support the ZL as having a non-carrier branded phone (and thus choices like Google Wallet) was half of the allure of the ZL for me.

Is Anyone got the google Assistant in their Moto Z Play.? There are many ways found on the web to get google assistant on our phone like update google play services(very common). But no one is working right now.

Google recently announced it will rollout Google Assistant to all marshmallow and nougat devices. But if your phone has nougat and an unlocked bootloader it is doable.
I'm in Canada and I just got Google Assistant on my Z Play about an hour ago.
I am officially over the Pixel, and so glad I didn't waste the extra 5/600 dollars to buy a Pixel XL over this device.
I got mine as I was reading this thread. Didn't realize I had it and Accidently held the home button. Then it popped up!

Got it in the US. Only issue is that moto voice somehow seems to not work with assistant. Old voice search comes up if I use my launch phrase (OK Moto Z), but "OK Google" launches assistant if the screen is on. Hopefully Motorola updates their Moto voice app to call assistant.

Yes I have Moto voice enabled. It opens the standard search, not The Assistant. So I'll disable it and set up the Assistant later today.

I was looking for mine and couldn't find it . I held in the home button and it appeared. Until you go to use it, it won't notify you. I'm in USA though.

Just tap on the home button and check. I was not even aware of that it got updated

Dont know if its a bug or I did something but since I am on beta 8.1 my assistant is not activated by my voice anymore, I have it activated with squeeze but if I say Ok Google nothing append. Any idea?

I'm on 8.1 and it works fine for me. If you are rooted there is a magisk module that I've used before that will get it working. The google assistant apk is also available to download at apk mirror. I haven't tried it though so I'm not sure if it would work.

OK nevermind, found the problem, for some reason the voice activation was off. Probable turned off when I activated the squeeze function.

The actual app worked for me when I used the module but voice activation didn't. The magisk module got it working again.
If anyone needs it this is the Verizon visual voicemail apk that works on unlocked models.I backed it up from my unlocked note 10 plus.Came from Samsung Apps.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot. I installed the apk, but the phone says it is not compatible when I try to install it.
I have an unlocked sm-n976n (Korean version) rooted with twrp and the N976NKSU1ASJF bootloader (also Korean) on the US Verizon network. Now running dr. ketan's rom.

Thanks! The OP file worked until yesterday it started pestering me to update. Unfortunately I ripped GStore and a lot of other apps out of my phone(abd) and couldnt. Your file, the last one posted, works great on my unlocked S10e!

Is the app supposed to inscribe my entire voicemail box or just new voicemail? Also does anyone know how to get it to play nicely with the Google dialer app and show vvm?

I can't believe it. Sprint/tmobile disabled it on their network to force people to use their piece of crap software.
So I have a Note 10 unlocked that would not connect to Verizon. Tried everything so I thought and then tried the first two downloads from this thread that also didn't work, it would say unsupported, I then downloaded the apk from 7-10-20 and it opened immediately and even replaced the original red voicemail app on the phone when the other two didn't replace it.

I was only able to install the last one but when i tap its icon the message 'not supported' pops up

I have VZW Prepaid which technically does not support VVM . I have the default Verizon VVM on my phone that does not work. Would this one work?

UPDATED: Giving a list below to make solution easier to read and more detailed, and better to folow.
1. go here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...verizon-visual-voicemail-apk-samsung-t3967796 (VVM .apk to sideload)
2.Once installed, hit done. Now open galaxy store and go to your updates. You will see it can update but will fail.
3.close the galaxy store but leave it running.
4. Uninstall the sideloaded VVM
5. go to recent apps and back to the galaxy store and update VVM
6. Should be good to go
I'm with Verizon as well and this is the visual voicemail that has integrated with verizon voicemail including if you pay for premium. It seems to be the same one on the Verizon note 9.

Is this what you are looking for this is what I have on note 10+. At first thought it was from Verizon as the premium upgrade promoted the $2.99 per month from Verizon.

It says it's not compatible. I know it has something to do with my device being unlocked, but the other unlocked Samsung's I had worked with the apk
Which I hope is not the case because it works on my note 10+ unlocked so hope that is not the case.

As of right now it is the case. But I did get my phone a couple of days early so some of the back end stuff may be turned off until actual launch day this Friday. I will update the post of anything changes.

For anyone on ATT, I faced this problem when I got my phone in the mail yesterday. I just installed it from Google play and it worked like a charm. Easy peasy. Not sure if this works for Verizon or other carriers.
For T-mobile, I just downloaded the app from play store and works fine.

Yes stock Samsung VVM app works great on Verizon.
With TMO, the app is on the phone but hidden. Put a VZW sim in, it shows up and works.
Switch back to TMO sim and while the app still shows up, opening it results in immediate FC.
If you're on TMO with the USA unlocked version and want VVM, you have to use the official TMO VVM app which IMHO is garbage. Doesn't even have a night mode FFS.
