It's still only 12:30 CST, but, I assumed DP4 would be released this week, namely today. It would keep with the timeline anyway. Anyone with prior experience with these releases have any input on the next one?

I'd say definitely. I haven't had a single crash outside of Magisk. The performance is snappy and battery life is totally fine. Back in DP2 any crashes I had we're usually fixed by clearing data, but DP3 has been perfect. Have fun!

DP 3 is pretty stable and can be a daily driver. DP 2 on the other hand may not be a daily driver.
No crashing over here but loss of LTE and dropped calls are definitely staples of dp3 if on T-Mobile
Well i don't consider dp3 daily driver material it is snappy and all but the battery life is just horrendous switched back to oreo i am using a pixel 2 64gb
DP3 has been fine for me. No show stopping bugs. My LTE and WiFi signals have been fine.

I hope you're right but something tells me it will be either tomorrow or Wednesday if it's not today.
On a side note, how do you guys update? I just like to boot twrp, wipe system data and then boot to bootloader, where I then flash the system image without the -w. This gives you a clean install while keeping your internal storage intact
I am on the most recent DP3 OTA and its working great on my VZW Pixel.
Luckily "The Pill" can be turned off, that thing is annoying. Despite the lacking stability, the XDA version is a better implementation from a functional standpoint.
Haven't found anything major enough to keep this from being a daily driver.
Customization is great but no UI Tuner... I am hoping for this in DP4. I want that fricken Alarm clock Icon out of my status bar. I already have to deal with a non-removable/hidable key, don't need an alarm icon now too.

DP3 daily driver on my Essential PH-1. No issues with LTE, VoLTE, battery life, etc. It's been perfect. Even got Substratum working (root is required, Magisk also working perfectly).
Been using DP3 since release. No issues period

Nougat is not ready for prime time. Not impressed at all. My custom MM rom works perfectly. I tried Nougat. Uninstalled.
Looks like soon it would be the US unlocked users getting angry : why the heck we're using a buggy version??
Even now it's EU users are complaining : when the heck could we taste nougat...??

Maximus HD is based on leaked EU update. And I am not talking about that.
Maybe you haven't seen what does the dev of Maximus say about the upcoming EU OTA?
No one has specified what "buggy" even means... is it something minor like a laggy UI or a major security vulnerability like stagefright?
*bugs* is a bull excuse in regards to no updates
while while they're fixing these bugs *with N then why didnt they continue to update our devices on MM with the monthly security updates ?
Europe unlocked devices haven't had an update since October & that came with the august 2016 security patch what happened too September, November , December, January
this fixed version of N will be out in February according to llabtoofer will likely be 7.0, we probably wont see 7.1 until spring (htc ultra hasn't even released yet & thats on 7.0)

I'm taking about you said US users now will be angry about why they were left with a buggy firmware, and I'm telling you I used it with the stock ROM and I'm not angry about it. Come on man, I am not saying US update isn't good. I am saying compare to EU update, US one is less responsive and less smooth. Been treated differently might make some users angry. #sense of humour#...
I am sure the US will also get the equivalent matching update around the same time
7.0 has been a mess, and even 7.1.1 has alot of problems, even on nexus/pixel devices. It would suck to be on 7.x and have that 30% battery bugg that alot of people experience. And thats just the obvious buggs.
7.x does not offer enough of a upgrade to make it worth having a buggy release. Esp if one is stuck with that buggy version for months.
I have the Nougat update on my T-Mobile HTC 10 completely stock not rooted and have experienced a few bugs.the day after I updated I took a picture and the phone froze went into a reboot and actually rebooted itself 4 times before it went back into the system. Had a random reboot another time and had an instance where my phone would not charge but a reboot fixed the issue
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
And please remember there's no OS nor app is bug free in the world. It is an excuse but also the truth.
I bought iPhone 7 last just want to experience a "smooth OS", but it freezed while taking a picture, battery drops very quickly and phone got every hot randomly... So yeah, back to HTC.

I tried N for a bit on Viper and had bad battery drain so I went back to MM and still had that battery drain, I found out Facebook has been causing bad battery so I uninstalled it and Messenger and seems to be much better. I was wondering if Facebook was my issue on N as well or if it was Android N causing it. Guess I will stick with MM for now.
I've been on Nougat for some time now (unlocked) and I have noticed any issues. What exactly is the problem?

Is your device US unlocked ? Do all your apps that auto sync or update do so while you're using battery saver, or while you're on data? Only way I can get gmail and other similarly syncing apps is on Wi-Fi without using battery saver

i meant to say that I haven't noticed any issues, but clearly you understood me. ?
Anyway, I get push gmail notifications as usual, no issues there. I'm almost always only on mobile data, and rarely ever use battery saver. I have an unlocked stock US model.
The only minor issue I've noticed is that sometimes I don't get notified of whatsapp messages (via the notification shade), if multiple are received at around the same time.
The only bug i've found was in the Settings.
If you enter it, press back button and then try to enter again, it'll take some seconds to show up.
Everything else is ok.

It seems to be working flawlessly with the phone, especially with the 7.1.1 update that rolled out. Most of the Pixel Launcher's features and functionality are apparent on the Robin for a more stock experience.
Sadly, I miss this aspect with the recently unsupported Nexus 6 that I still have in my possession as my main driver.
Let's see what Razer is going to use Nextbit for, and if it will be deemed worthy by tech junkies and the general public.

What's the new software version? G710VM10k?
new version is G710VM20a Mine is the sprint ebay phone that I rebranded to VM verizon because they get OTA update and voila it got PIE tonight about 11 pm PST. UI is nearly identical LOL, though 4gLTE shows up even with wifi on now but performance is good, I don't notice anything better or worse yet but I'm very much hoping battery life is improved and maybe camera but I doubt the camera part. I'll keep you posted on it as the day goes tomorrow.
Same 20a. Overnight drain was 1%. New navigation gesture is great IMO. But haven't really tried anything. Also will keep you posted.
Help!

Hello,I will soon be receiving a Redmi Note 8 Pro from a friend and I immediately started searching for a custom rom to use.I have narrowed it down to 3 and would like your help choosing one. What I'm looking for mostly is a smooth rom that will still be receiving updates.
What I wanted the most is Lineage OS(since I use it on my Rn6p and I love it) but the device was not supported ,however recently someone built it(unofficially).
You can see it here: https://t.me/RedmiNote8ProOfficial/923501
He mentioned in the comments that he will be updating it once a month which I guess is good enough.
Now my other 2 choices are Corvus OS and Pixel Experience which are both official.
So does anyone has experience with any of these roms to share with me?Thanks a lot in advance and sorry if I somehow broke a rule,it's my first time posting.
I'd go PE+

I don't think the LineageOS FE you posted has a working front camera.
I personally use PE+ from May (the release from July has some serious battery drain courtesy of Xiaomi MIUI 12.5.x buggy release).

Biggest issue for me right now is the battery drain in the latest release (July), so that's why I've downgraded to the May release.
Once the battery drain issue is fixed I'll go back to using the latest version.
I might try that LineageOS release too.

Good Lord - aren't you the developer of Velocity ROM - the best ROM for my good old Nexus 6 (Shamu)?

Yes, good to see you again....feel free to hit me up in my TG group.
I am testing out your latest Raven release right now. Currently, I am quite pleased with what I am seeing. But, of course, the next two days will give me a few full runs of testing.
I currently have my mobile settings limited to LTE only, as 5G eats my battery like an Italian eats their pasta (really darn fast) - or maybe that's just me, haha. So, tomorrow will be a test whilst still limited to LTE. But the following day will be similar but with no mobile network type restrictions.
At the moment, my phone is running just as fast while staying super cool - and I am not sure if this is due to the UV or the other performance/scheduler changes (or both, of course).
So needless to say, I have high hopes. Thank you for this.
I just had YouTube running at 100% brightness on wifi, I know...I know...not 5G yeah yeah...but I lost 12 percent in 2 hours watching Transformers anddd...the temp shows for itself. I was testing it just laying on my floor trying to wear out the battery. Usually the battery is hot. I am blownnnnn awayyy. This kernel has changed my interest in this phone from absolutely hating it to kinda starting to enjoy it. My girlfriend aas equally blown away as my phone used to die quickly and always overheat.
v13.1 is up and is tested on August and September stable releases. I dont have this device and dont flash betas so I wouldnt recommend using this on the new beta.

I don't recommend flashing this on the beta. At least from my own experience. I tried it to see how it will run, but it seems that it causes a lot of freezing and random hangs. For me, its unusable on QPR1. I had to reflash stock boot

Not experienced this so far, if you run the A13.1 Kernel on beta then yes you would absolutely run into issues, if you run the beta kernel for the beta I can assure you there will be no issues what so ever. You can access the QPR1 Kernel via the telegram group. So far many of us on QPR1 with the QPR1 Beta Kernel haven't experienced a single hitch yet and I'm doing my best to try and break it to see what goes wrong but so far nothing but a lovely experience. My bad I should have elaborated what I am running to be more clear.

Its a pleasant surprise! I didn't intend on going into beta until I saw the reviews from the others and I had to give it a go, honestly couldn't be happier I did!
Absolutely ridiculous battery life.
I'd usually get 2.5 hours SOT from 100-50.
This Kernel has made the battery life outstanding. Thank you so much.
