Hi all, I have Xposed installed and every day multiple times throughout the day I get random "app has stopped working" messages. Any ideas why? Possibly related to minminguard?
Xposed modules:
Minminguard
Screenshot delay remover
Crappalinks
Gravitybox [O]
Many Xposed junkies tend to have their blinders on and believe the problem is with the device rather than the real source of the issue: Xposed. It's good to see that you're not wholly discounting Xposed as the issue here, meaning you have a chance of being cured of the plague that is Xposed. The problem is in one of the Xposed modules, and you're going to have to find out the hard way which one it is. Honestly, you'd be much better off uninstalling Xposed than trying to discover the source of the problem; there is a reason ROM developers don't accept bug reports if Xposed is installed.
Realistically, the best place for you to get support for the issue you're having is in the Xposed forums, not here.
Probably GravityBox. I only have that module installed and get the app stopped working error messages with regularity. I'm used to it now, gravitybox is worth it
Gravity box works fine for me.
Thank you all for the replies. It's frustrating that one Xposed module I really want is gravitybox and it appears to be causing it. I guess I'll switch back to pie control instead. Any suggestions for changing the battery icon? As those are really the only reasons I even have it installed.

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is related to the GPS issue or the recent update, but my Chrome Browser stopped working. Every time I launch it it crashes within a few seconds without any FC dialogue.
My GPS works fine so I don't understand what's going on.
Has this been reported?
I'd try wiping cache and data for Chrome. I don't have this issue, and I haven't seen it reported by anyone else.

Yeah I have a similar set up on 15J, my Chrome does crash very frequently on certain pages. I noticed in CatLog it has something to do with Java. I suspect (although cannot confirm yet) it's related to Xposed Framework as it happened after I got it running on my device (or a module installed with Xposed).
For a temporary work-around I've been using Dolphin Browser with minimal usage issues.

Thanks for your reply. Great to hear it not stock issue rather a modification.
Hopefully, Xposed Framework gets updated soon, but I'm wondering why my N4 is not affected of that is case.

Maybe it's just something we have with our tablets. I wouldn't immediately point fingers at Xposed but that was just a correlation for me. I've just been too lazy to make a Nandroid backup, uninstall and completely remove Xposed and all of the modules, just to figure out if it was Xposed.
I would test it out before you say this is the plausible cause.
However, I find that my issue may be related to XPrivacy more, but I need to test it some more to confirm

I can confirm myself Xposed was the culprit. I was using version 2.1.4 and had upgraded to the latest '2.2' which had many bug fixes and updated 'XposedBridge.jar'.
Many thanks again.

Sorry for my english.
Mate you made about 3 threads about the same topic, and also one in the wrong sub section. I reported it so it ended up here in the Q&A.
Now, return to stock rom or a clean flash of a rom. Ditch exposed and try again.
Can't see many people complaining about the same issue so it's unlikely the app itself !
Doesn't seem you did many things to try out on your own. At least not that i can see ! And stop making new threads about this please !

Uninstall all of your Xposed modules and report back if the problem persists. I don't think it will. That's an awful lot of mods, especially since some of them are already built into ViperOne.
I'm trying to determine whether google play services stops because of the ROM or because of xposed mods I'm using. Its happening frequently but doesn't really affect much. There's no apps crashing. Its just mildly annoying needing to dismiss the message.
Are others experiencing this? Thought it might be the app amplify so I disabled it but the message still appears. Right now my mods areEnable call recording in CM, xposed torch, greenify, and YouTube adaway.

No, you're not the only one having that issue. In the CM11 for Fire Phone thread you can see people were reporting it. At least for now, since the ROM is beta, we can't expect it to work flawlessly.
P.S.: For the next threads you open in this forum, for Fire Phone or for any other device, it'd be better if you specify if you're rooted and if you used a custom ROM. Otherwise it could cause confusion. Someone reading this question could think stock FireOS has these issues.

Need root for xposed. I was gonna say xposed wouldn't work on fire os but I actually do use it on fire TV so I know that's probably not true. But you're right. Next time I'll give more details.
Beta is typically prone to bugs but I didn't get the "stopped working" message until last note, after activating xposed. Even that's not a clear cut trouble shoot because I've had ROMs run problem free for days then issues arise.
But overall, I am extremely pleased with CM 11! everything I use is working great.
On a side, off topic note, anyone found a way to install milk music on this?

That's weird. I'm using CM11 too, rooted and with Xposed and I don't get the "stopped working" notification. Maybe it's another thing. I remember that when I installed the Android Wear app Google Play Services crashed every 2 seconds (no joke, and no fun).
And about Milk Music, isn't that like asking for Live on YouTube - By Xperia™ to be available on non-Sony phones?

There's an xposed mod called chocolate milk that enables milk to run on many devices but far as I can see its a little dated and not sure which version works (the newest apk from playstore does not install),or if its even supported anymore. Not something I need but trying some new things.
Edit--actually I'm not 100% on the play store apk because I couldn't get apk downloader to fetch it on my Mac. I did pull a couple from other sources and those didn't work.
Oops- this was supposed to be for Milk Music install. Sorry guys!0 uhhh...Nevermind. I'm good.
I tried this way-
http://nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-t...music-app-any-android-no-root-needed-0158456/
The apk's did install, I was able to open the milk app, but no sound would play and it prompted that this version was no longer supported and to download the newest version from the play store. This might work for anyone om CM 11, but I couldn't get to the play store to update, it always links you to amazon store. When I opened the play store it wouldn't show to download. There are tricks to change build props with root explorer if you google it. I am not rooted yet so I can''t give it a try. If you click a blank spot the pop up would go away, but the sound wouldn't play.
Hi are there any Multi-Window apps you can use to say have You Tube and another app like Facebook or WhatsApp open at the same time without the need for custom ROM's?

There was an Xposed module. Not sure how it works though. And you'd need root and xposed framework installed.
Look for xmultiwindowx or something along that lines in xposed module section.
Not sure if it works at all on Lollipop either.

I used the Xposed module XHaloFloatingWindow on my Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 tablet for a while. It worked pretty well. Had is quirks, but no more so than stock Samsung multi-window function (if that is what OP is referring to, familiar with, etc), and in some ways worked better.
I had been using the GPhone app that was provided by another dev, but it had a known issue where it wouldn't provide the call blocking/spam filtering features.
I recently ran across this article that shows a way to get these features working, and have the GPlay verison of the app download (and update) normally. I take no credit for the mod, but I did install it and it does work. I don't know if it call-blocks, but I guess I'll find out. I don't get many spam calls, but if someone else does please let us know that this sub-feature does work as intended.
Anyway, here's the article: https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...blocking-business-search-any-android-0192637/
Basically, it's a Magisk module that allows you to download the Play store app. It says that you have to install the app after installing the module, but I found this happened automatically... so maybe something changed on the backend?
In case the article disappears or something, the official project is here on GitHub: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/GoogleDialerFramework
Just wanted to share this, as it seems to work... again, if anyone can confirm the call-blocking features, that would be great!

I had too many issues with Xposed in the past (on previous phones), which is why I stopped using it on this phone. I also did not know that such a framework existed and was the solution to the blocking capability. It makes sense that Xposed could do this, though, as you have said.
Does that mean you confirm that the framework fixes the ability to call-block/filter?

Hahahaha my fault. I actually thought I was using an Xposed module. Turns out it was magisk this whole time.

Edit, the magisk module does it all. It just installs the framework. Then you just clear data from play store.
