Hi
I have recently flashed Viper on my lineage and no longer feel the need for the bundled audio fx app in the rom.
Is there any way to remove this without any complications?

Just deactivate it via adb.
Or via settings.
There won't be any complications

This thread is for SuperSU releases that are still in testing, and are not yet available through the Play store.
Tested only on zenfone 2 laser 550kl
May be work with 551 kl
Its not created by me , all credits goes to the developer
Please Hit thanks .

BETA-SuperSU-v2.71-20160331103524.zip
That is a recovery flashable ZIP (I recommend TWRP).
Why should use SuperSU? CM13 has its own embedded root manager.

Maybe the man likes SuperSU more than the embedded one

I don't know anything about Magisk but this person https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72664113&postcount=277 evidently used it to put on the WETA 9.1 which has Viper4 Android and Dolby Atmos. If Magisk can execute in Root Browser with root privileges then maybe you can get Viper that way.
Is there a good updated guide to root the robin?

I recently did, its still the same as it was before. Nothing has changed.
Only difference is it more or less depends on which tool you want to use to root. I personally used Magisk v14.0
This video does a good job. As I said I would replace SuperSU with Magisk

Good luck!

I stopped using nextbit cloud storage after they announced the end of life for device. I am not sure they will keep the cloud storage running anyway.
Android Pay not available in my region but Magisk lets you hide it from detection and it does pass the SafetyNet so Android Pay should work.
Banking apps which detected root can't detect it with Magisk Hide. So I am able to use those apps despite having the root.

Android Pay works fine with Magisk. Both with rooted stock and custom ROMs. At least in my experience.

For me it's working nicely. Flashed with temporary TWRP.
can this be used in custom rom oreo?
I use the 2.3.4.0 from magisk with no problems.
Will not be easier to install by magisk?

Maybe flashing again.
nope re-flashing doesn't uninstall! not working and won't uninstall now smh
huh, I installed v4a with magisk as well and now working... ?
I'm on stock Oreo with Magisk, custom Kernel, Android Pay working, v4a working, custom recovery, CF+lumen, and a few others.
Can I accomplish that on Pie right now?
I was updating a bunch of magisk stuff and messed up the system today, so I need a clean install.
Working Bluetooth reliably is a must.
Thanks!

Yup. Pie works beautifully my friend. I've had v4a, Android pay working , of course a custom kernel and it's great.

Have you followed any tutorials that would be helpful? I know magisk and v4a and kernels can be finnicky if you go in the wrong order.
NM, here it is =]

@Phalanx7621 I'm having trouble installing v4a. I've got benzo with Magisk and Elemental atm. When in TWRP it says "Error 2" when installing the v4a zip I got from the Zackptg5 website. Any ideas?

Yeah you don't install it via a zip in recovery, it's a Magisk Module you install through Magisk.
Interesting. I guess that's a Pie thing. There's a zip created specifically for Magisk that has been troubleshot with Pixel in mind. Worked great on Oreo.
I'll try that, thanks!

Yup. Make sure you install the viper called FX not the other one.
Did you have to install. Any other mods? AML, Notification Helper Remover, etc?

Not sure haven't used those.
I'll be that guy and say that battery life on pie sucks major
Yeah, my battery life has been miserable thus far. 3 hrs SOT, pretty bad.
