Is there a good updated guide to root the robin?
Sent from my Moto G4 Plus using Tapatalk
I recently did, its still the same as it was before. Nothing has changed.
Only difference is it more or less depends on which tool you want to use to root. I personally used Magisk v14.0
This video does a good job. As I said I would replace SuperSU with Magisk

I stopped using nextbit cloud storage after they announced the end of life for device. I am not sure they will keep the cloud storage running anyway.
Android Pay not available in my region but Magisk lets you hide it from detection and it does pass the SafetyNet so Android Pay should work.
Banking apps which detected root can't detect it with Magisk Hide. So I am able to use those apps despite having the root.

Android Pay works fine with Magisk. Both with rooted stock and custom ROMs. At least in my experience.

Hello, Yesterday I rooted succesfully my H815P and I wanted to add viper4android but whenever I open it, it asks me to instal drivers, but they never get installed, what should I do? by the way I installed ROOT with low efort
Not sure, but didn't V4A require SELinux to be Permissive? In that case V4A would only run on a custom kernel or if you built an own stock kernel with permissive. But I'm not sure if it's needed, not really using Viper
SELinuxModeChanger from Play store may do the dirty job.

When will we get Lineage OS 15, since the nexus 4 already got it, which has very similar specs, but not the same.
Can you get lineage is 14 for android nougat with gapps?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. But Lineage 14.1 is available for the N7 and you flash gapps separately.

Sorry, I was being lazy, I meant nougat. I see you can get it as a nightly build, however I'm reading Netflix doesn't work, so that's a no go for installing it for me
Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
I believe there are older versions of Netflix that will work with some builds of Lineage. I had it working at one time, but after updating to a recent nightly, it is broken.
About Netflix, you can use Magisk which can hide itself and you will be able to install Netflix (and al other protected apps)
About Oreo, I hope we get it soon, I have Oreo on my Nexus 5X and it's great

Been a while since I've flashed anything, last time was with HD2. So I need to unlock bootloader on my N7 and then install Magisk, then install lineage OS? So then Netflix app will still work with latest version from the play store?

First LOS, then Magisk.
Personally, I don't use Netflix, it is not fully available in my country. AFAIK, it was not possible to install it from the Play Store when device was rooted, or BL was unlocked (not sure which one), but with Magisk I can install it, I can also open it, but as I said, I don't pay it, so I can't do nothing more, and AFAIK t should work.
It's WIP, just wait.
Could someone running from a stock kdz post their ro.build.fingerprint and ro.build.description values?

I have cts false too in Magisk 14th and 29a...
Yeah, it may be possible to fool safetynet into thinking we have a different CTS certified Rom just by tinkering with ro.build.fingerprint
Might let android pay run on V29a
Safetynet works lol. I use android pay and all that just download safetynet fix
What's your setup?
I'm on Freedom rom, Titan kernel and magisk 14 or 13.3 with or without fix. Banking app works but not android pay

The only way I got Freedom to pass SafetyNet was by installing it and leaving every option as close to stock as possible, installing Magisk and the Universal SafetyNet Fix module. Also, don't make any modification to the system partition

Well that's what I've done too. So your CTS profile passes? Are you able to use android pay or at least launch without error?
Are you running Titan kernel?

I'm currently testing a MM rom which I modded myself, but to answer your question: yeah it passed with Titan Kernel. All V29A roms I tried did.
Edit:
Never tried Pay, I live in The Netherlands so never had a use for it

I had the same profile error on my v29a. Is it possible to fix it with any of the proposed solutions ( universal fix or safetynet patch) and still be able to relock Bootloader ?

I was going to attempt it as well. His worked fine for me. I patched his boot.img with magisk and installed it in twrp (install image to boot). After backing up boot of course.
I only describe the steps because someone will inevitably try without backing up or something and come back asking for help recovering, lol.

Cool, same thing. Flash kernel then magisk =patched boot.img
Patch image with magisk = patched boot.img. I already had magisk installed and kinda wanted to try the "patch boot.img method in magisk anyways.
Thanks again dude, I was missing modules for awhile there. You had any luck with safetynet?

This is a kernel for stock, not custom roms.

Appreciate the reply. I stopped rooting since the Pixel XL. Used to do it all the time but feel I no longer need to do this. For those not rooted we're still screwed. I don't see samsung ever adding theme support to this tablet just like it didn't for the S2.

No. I spoke to the devs about this numerous times and unless you root the tab s3 it is not possible to use substratum.
You don't need root and I'm using substranium right now. I also have a note 8 without root and sub works fine also. You do need to buy the samsung plug in thing for it to work but it works fine without root.

It's called andromeda search on play store.
Good Lock 2018 will let you change the notification shad if that helps it is available in the galaxy apps store

Wht is wrong?
