Substratum works! There are some substratum themes with Samsung Oreo support. I have just right now Swift Dark-Theme installed and it works without any issues.

Appreciate the reply. I stopped rooting since the Pixel XL. Used to do it all the time but feel I no longer need to do this. For those not rooted we're still screwed. I don't see samsung ever adding theme support to this tablet just like it didn't for the S2.

No. I spoke to the devs about this numerous times and unless you root the tab s3 it is not possible to use substratum.
You don't need root and I'm using substranium right now. I also have a note 8 without root and sub works fine also. You do need to buy the samsung plug in thing for it to work but it works fine without root.

I don't know how to get it working...
Rooted stock, install substratum, get swift dark theme, appply and got endless installation...
Wht is wrong?

Not sure, but didn't V4A require SELinux to be Permissive? In that case V4A would only run on a custom kernel or if you built an own stock kernel with permissive. But I'm not sure if it's needed, not really using Viper

I recently had to reset the phone just because i used wrong theme, so i don't wanna test this and possibly fu*k up my phone again.
So far i tested 3 themes which worked excellent: Swift Black, Pitchblack and Focus.
I guess you can use any substratum theme to theme your APPS ONLY and get away fine with it, but theming SystemUI or Android system or other system part can lead to bootloop.
i downloaded the theme but cannot understand how to apply it as there are many options there so anyone knows it well then let me know
Just follow the youtube video in first post, everything is explained clearly and slowly. Remember to stay connected to your laptop, and everything should/will work without any problem.
Anybody messed with installing xposed framework and or any modules on the official Pie setup?
I'm not sure I want to go back to not having Gravitybox on my phone again.
Been looking around and I didn't see anyone mention xposed and Pie yet so I thought i'd start here.

I agree. The very reason I haven't upgraded to 9.0. Beyond having the latest and greatest, I can't justify losing the awesomeness of Xposed. So we wait. ?
I could. Gives me a chance to play Pokemon GO lol
Also have decided the only module I miss is the ad blocker i had.
I made the jump to pie last night, the things i miss most so far from gravitybox/xposed, is the ability to break out volume adjustments for ringtone and notification tones, circle battery (i know there's other ways of getting this back), notification light settings along with individual app notification settings and i'm sure i'll find more as the day goes on and I use my phone more fully. But if i can learn to deal with those few things, I think i might like Pie.

Xposed for Nougat took a year to be released. Pie has only been out for 3 weeks. Xposed for Oreo still hasn't left beta and hasn't been updated since January. Rovo doesn't seem very active anymore, so I wouldn't hold my breath...
Not supported yet.
true that, while xposed for oreo took only till the 8th January 2018, 09:38 PM

it was one of the shorter gap between API release and xposed releases so we can't know how it goes this time or if we shall see xposed at all.

I don't think it works that way. In order for a Magisk version to be available, the creator of Xposed (rovo) needs to have a "standard" version available for Pie first.
I could be wrong but I believe that is how the order of things have to be.

Yeah, the systemless xposed for magisk was based off the beta version of xposed, so yeah we won't see xposed through magisk till there's at least a working alpha of xposed for pie.. sux, but guess i've been surviving. really the only thing that's getting to me is the notification/call ringtone volume adjustment. so far i've found ways to get everything else i depended on from gravitybox/xposed.
Oneplus has delivered the first public beta of H2OS 11, which means that OOS 11 should be arriving soon. Root works with latest magisk beta

You don't have to use magisk unless you want to have root, you can always just leave the phone unrooted unless you want some mod install and some app that needs root privilege. But it's not a necessity to root.

Also this is H2OS which is meant for the Chinese market so some things might not be there for the global market, for me it works fine since I don't live in the USA I live in Central America, it's also a beta build and the first one, so I would suggest that if you can't wait flash it if you desire to try it out of not just wait for the OOs beta that will most likely come soon. For me everything seems to work but there are some small bugs and some features are not present. Like AOD is not available, bubble chats for Telegram is not working only for fb messenger. Canvas is working just fine and so far o haven been able to see horizon lights work even tho the option is there (finally got it to work but still a bit buggy). So flash and try it out of you wish or wait for the OOs beta.

I spoke too soon. I was using a patched version of Swift Installer that allowed me to get past the setup process. The official play store version gives an a12 incompatibility message. My bad guys.
I'm using Repainter, works great with 9pro on A12
Thanks for your response. Is this patched version you talked about publicly available and where do I get it? Or is this not for public use?
