I show the N910A as not supported for wifi calling on Mint (t-moble) network, however the other note 4's are. Is there any way around this? When i enable on my phone it trys to register through ATT. I get really poor reception at work and in my basement, and Wifi calling would be a savior.

As I have experienced first hand, T-Mobile's wifi calling feature works amazing on my Note 3. The problem is, where I live, work and play we do not get any T-Mobile service above 2g, and mostly nothing at all. I'm actually confused as to why local stores are even selling the service. It simply doesn't work here. Anyhow, I had purchased a month of prepaid service with them because I don't get ANY service from any provider at my home (except Verizon, who comes in at 5 bars in my basement). The wifi calling feature was amazing for this one reason. I never missed a call, or text and life was good. Of course, the moment I left the house my $800.00 Note 3 turned into a very expensive makeup mirror for my wife because, like I mentioned, we don't get T-Mobile here, at all. I still have 2 weeks of the service active, and put the sim into my i-747 S3 for testing.
I'm currently running Hyperdrive RLS3.1 (NB4) on AT&T Go-Service on my Note 3.
What I'm asking is simple, or maybe it isn't -
I would like to know where I could find info on a REAL wifi calling service. Not these 3rd party apps that give you a new free #, etc. I'd like something that integrates into the phone, like TM Wifi calling does. After searching this topic on XDA, I found a few threads on SIP VoIP. I'd even be willing to give that a shot. If I have to invest a few dollars, that is also ok. Has anyone else successfully done this? Any better idea's or suggestions? I'm tired of not being able to make calls from my cell phone at home. I have looked into repeaters, extenders, etc, but that is for another thread, I suppose.
I know that the native wifi calling on my Note 3 will not work with AT&T, but there must be something that can work....
Thanks for any info or help anyone can provide.
Real WiFi calling has to be supported on the back end by the carrier.
You are going to be limited to a 3rd party solution.
That's what I use. I have to use magic jack.

I also started using magicjack on my phone. After trying out several voip SIP services with the native android app, I realized that it would never have the sound quality I needed.
This is all null and void now though. I retired my N900T and bought the Verizon Note 3 and never drop signal or lose LTE, even in my basement.
100% not possible. It relies on servers at T-Mobile's end. Plus the settings in the Wifi Calling app are set to T-Mobile's servers on top of that.
Hello- I live in a crappy area for reception to say the least! T Mobile seems to be the best option as I have a great Ubiquiti WIFI network setup up at the House- For whatever reason I have been missing a ton of calls and text's when on WIFI calling with the S6.
I didn't seem to have the same issues with the iPhone 6? Any others experiencing the same issues? Do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!

Yes, I am not rooted and my S6 edge shows "missed calls" when on Wifi. The phone doesnt even ring. It happens most of the time.

I am rooted. TWRP installed. Stock Kernel. Absolutely NO issues with WiFi calling. In fact on all my older Galaxy devices including my S5 I always had issues. So far call quality superb. No WiFi calling issues.
At this particular hour I'm not rooted, wifi calling has worked fine except for one glitch, when I initiate a call overseas it almost invariable fails but if I dial again it goes right through. No idea what to make of that.
Alright, I am rooted now...let's see if that does anything to Wifi calling. Still have stock recovery and kernel.
Yep, two phones, both have them. Tried to get a replacement, but the guy was being a corporate line tower and it really irritated me that I spend 2.5 hrs dealing with him and driving 38 miles to and from just to get home with nothing. I refuse to pay a restocking fee. Nobody had a white S6 Edge 32 GB. I got stuck with a Black on Thursday due to a lack of stock. Great customer service, right..... The idiot manager asked me "what do I get by giving you a phone from my inventory and lose money and get in trouble for it?" I said it's a customer satisfaction thing. What kind of a person think it's reasonable to lose 10% battery life with a 1 hr phone call on Wifi calling?
If you're missing calls it's because of your WiFi connection. When you have a bunch of devices using the same WiFi they kinda take priority over the phone so you miss calls. Go into a Tmobile store and ask for a FREE WiFi router. It is designed to prioritize WiFi calling over everything else. I have one and it works great
My issue is that no one can hear me and sometimes I can't hear them. It happened on my iPhone 6 Plus too and not just at my house.

I have just received my third Galaxy S6. I am unable to receive calls about 90% of the time on WIFI. I have the tmobile wifi cellspot router; it makes no difference. I am 4 feet from the router with a perfect connection. My 3 year old HTC One S has no problem making and receiving calls on the network or on the WIFI connection. None of my phones have been rooted. I also tried the SIM card replacement. No dice. This is discouraging.
I've had the same issue, would love to hear a solution X_X
Anyone on cricket wireless? WiFi calling is rolling out... I never got VoLTE on my note 4, so I assumed is never hey WiFi calling. Already switched to att prepaid. ..
If anyone gets WiFi calling to work on an att device, please let me know.
My WiFi calling works on my stock Note 4 on AT&T. It took a while to get it setup. I had to change SIM cards because I was using my old SIM from the Note 2. With the new SIM, the tech at AT&T said they had to make sure my account has the WiFi Calling provisions. They turned it on. I had to wait about 10 minutes for it to take effect and the prompt went past the "Ooops..." message when setting up WiFi Calling. After that, I was able to enter my Address. I didn't test it until 3 or 4 days later. A friend on a Verizon iPhone called me (he's connected to his home WiFi) and WOW, the call clarity was high definition!
A few days later, my Note 4 battery died so I had to buy a battery replacement. I switched back to my Note 2 using the same (Note 4) SIM for 3 days. Of course, Note 2 has no WiFi calling. When I got my battery and switch back to the Note 4, I had to do the steps above again. (Switching phones might have removed that provision). I got WiFi Calling working once again.
EDIT: I'm not on AT&T Pre-Paid. I'm on the 1GB Mobile Share plan. (Yes, 1 GB...believe it or not, I only use about 500MB of data every month! I'm always on WiFi at home, work, gym, etc.)
I really wanted to get Wi-Fi calling on my note 4 on ATT network. Unfortunately I'm on prepaid plan and they told me this feature only available with contract
I'm on prepaid, I'm hoping att changes their mind on this...
I've used pixel phones for the past 4 years and both my Pixel 1XL and 3XL both do not kick over to Wifi calling until the signal was horrid (-120db +) on standby. I frequent lots of areas where the signal is sub par, but usable (-110 to -120db). The major issue with this logic is that you start a call on the network (in my case VZW) and shortly after the call connects to the person on the other end it kicks onto Wifi Calling. This is NOT a smooth transition. There is a 1-2 second 'blip' that causes the audio to cut out and I have to repeat myself... which is incredibility frustrating. I could turn off wifi calling, but then go into places like a basement and loose the call every time. The iPhone on the other hand if it has 1-3 bars and good wifi it switches to wifi and stays parked on wifi until you leave the wifi coverage area or the wireless coverage improves. What determines the signal level that the phones switch to wifi calling? Is it Android or the carrier? Does this differ my phone manufacturer? I'm looking to switch from Verizon to ATT, and ATT doesn't offer an updated LTE Microcell which means I would rely on wifi calling in my basement. I don't want to have the same wifi calling experience I have seen on VZW with a Pixel. Does Oneplus, LG, or Samsung do this better? Is there a root hack I could use to fix the problem?
I've only used it a couple of times as T-Mo isn't good where I'm at. I mean exactly where I'm at. I'm like in a dead zone in my apartment/complex. I get 1-2 bars max, but I can go about 20 yards, and get full bars. Wi-Fi was hit and miss as much as a bad cell signal for me. I tried to use it as "always on", but it didn't matter. I gave up, and ended up getting one of T-Mo's personal CellSpots, so now I get full bars in my place, and never have to use Wi-Fi calling. But to answer your question for me, yes, it sucks to use Wi-Fi calling.
WiFi calling is highly sensitive to your internet connection quality and jitter and also your router. I have had multiple configurations since WiFi calling has come into play. Your wireless router plays the biggest part from what I've noticed and their is so many different ones out there now. Best thing to do first is if you have a computer with a lan cable. Plug it directly into your modem and do a jitter test like this one https://www.fusionconnect.com/speed-test-plus/
Then make a note of what your results are. Now plug everything else back and set it up like your normally would have it and then do the same test over wireless through your router and compare the results to the first test. If they are quite a bit worst than the first results then your router is screwing it up. Most likely it's a premium feature (gimmick) that the router has that is screwing up stuff. I've only had TMobile with WiFi calling but my brother was on Verizon WiFi calling for a bit before switching over to TMobile and once I had a good configuration dialed in with a good internet connection and a good router set up he had no problems except for if he walked out of WiFi range sometimes. We don't have the best LTE signal at the house so the switchover wouldn't always be the smoothest.
Best combo I've tried so far is an Ubiquiti Edgerouter X and then using an Ubiquiti Unifi WiFi access point to give out WiFi. The Edgerouter X has a better type of QoS than most home routers nowadays and it can help WiFi calling issues a lot.
Now I have never experienced this issue you describe with it cutting out upon connection but it does sound like a typical switchover issue where it is switching from wifi calling to LTE or vice versa. Unfortunately that depends on the carrier and how they implement it on their network but I would definitely advise experimenting with your home internet set up if you ever have enough time as that could definitely be a factor as well
I have yet to see WI-FI calling work reliably - ( Engineer w/ 20+ yrs) Another technology pushed to production way too early.
My wife and I both have a sprint / now tmobile s20 with the same issue. At home I have poor cell signal, 1-2 bars. When I'm on a call using WiFi calling, as soon as I get 2 bars of signal it switch's to volte, and almost always drops the call. The only "fix" I've found is switching the network mode to 2g only, then it will always use wifi calling. Sprint has been no help, and they no longer offer a signal booster. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to stop dropping calls at home?

Since both you and your wife are experiencing the same problem it's likely you're in a dead zone where a decent signal isn't possible due to poor network capabilities. I doubt it's a defect in your devices and T-mobile isn't going to invest in additional equipment for a handful of customers. Your best and realistically only option is switching service providers. If you entered into a fixed term agreement you can terminate it for cause however if your devices are included in a promotion you may have to return them to cancel the agreement. If T-mobile refuses contact your local BBB, that will get their attention.
