[Q] Yellow Streak Not Spots

Hi Dudes,
I replaced my HTC One X today with a new one because the gsensor failed for some unknown reason. Anyway I got home and started re installing all my apps, then did the 28 software update and restarted. Its then that I noticed a yellow streak on the left hand side of the screen. It almost looks like glue or a screen bleed, you can really see it on a white background or a grey background but also
Im unsure If i should see if it is glue and maybe it just needs to dry out by using the phone a lot for the next week or replacing it yet again.... Im starting to loose patience with the One X now.
Has anyone else had this green streak issue and is it normal?
Should I turn the brightness up to make for an hour and leave the screen running?
My old HTC Desire was more reliable than this....

Is it glue or something mate? Its odd.
Looks like everything else on the ONE X is working great now though. (touch wood)
Screen seems as excellent as ever. Just the yellow smear/streak.
Will leave it a few days and see what happens man.
in many discussion about this problem, peoples think that problem with glue.
And can appear when phone get hot.
not saw it on my phone when playing in terga games + charging in same time.
but my phone goes to me 2 week, may be glue well dried before was used

My phone heats up fine and no other yellow streaks appear (its not a spot but a streak). Its constantly there also. Will see how it goes in the next few days.
I ment to say that this yellow smear is allways on the screen but no more seem to appear when it heats up. I hope it goes away. Has anyone else had this small yellow smear issue on the screen?
I got home and started re installing all my apps, then did the 28 software update and restarted. Its then that I noticed a yellow streak on the left hand side of the screen - It happends exactly the same to me , and what did i do was going back my phone today , and seller says that I don't believe it will disappear and gave me the new one , I'm happy with my new phone but it's grey , not beautiful white :/ , if u are able to return it , just go to return

[Q] HOX overheating after 5-10min

Hello everybody,
my cousin had his (pretty new) HOX plugged to the wall and it charged normally.. But suddenly he noticed a power blackout and pushed his phone out immediately. This event happened 1 week ago.
And now he can use his phone pretty normally, even charge it. The only thing is: It get' s freaking hot after a short period of time and kinda locks or hangs up, that means the phone doesn' t react to the user's interactions..
Also he told me that the notification LED is blinking red/green , but I' m not sure if he meant that it did just after the black out or that it means it is still blinkin'. I can' t check it at the moment, cause he isn' t reachable.. :/
He sounded really worried and I told him this is a case for the warranty and he calmed down now.
Anyways I tought I should give this forum a try, since the most of you are real pro' s .
I appreciate any help. :good:
Regards from Germany,
~Nobody
P.S. Just for my curiosity: What did actually **** up, I mean which phone part? I think it must be the cooler or the processor, since this sounds like the problems you get after overclocking, isn' t?
Red/green blinking means the battery is over heated > 48 c.
Has he tried a factory reset?
If that doesn't help its a warranty job, I wouldn't say anything about what happened and just say its over heating a few of my friends had the issue and the phone got replaced

I have a simple problem, i think i fried the head phone jack. my phone wont go under 40c lol. after 2 or 3 minutes of use, it jumps to about 50c

[Q] [Fault] Weird screen dimming

Hello xda,
Today I was using my XS as usual I was playing a game. The phone then became a bit hot ( I wouldn't say it overheated just got a little hotter) then out of nowhere my screen went darker, flickered a bit and has remained really dim since.
Initially I thought it may be a software issue so flashed to stock .55 ics but that didn't make a difference.
The only thing that does help is cooling the phone, (in a fridge ) which brings the screen back to normal until the phone warms up again, this made me think there could be a loose /faulty connection somewhere inside the phone but I can't check as I need the correct tools.
So my question is, has anybody else come across this problem?
If you have how did you fix it? (if it's possible to fix)
Or is my lovely XS just dying :'''( ?
P. S. My phone has taken a lot of abuse so that may be the reason lol
Thanks to any help in advance
The screen dims to keep it from overheating. Its a safety action to keep your phone from burning.

No man you don't understand my phone screen is PERMANENTLY dim and it didn't overheat because previously I've felt the phone get hotter than it did.
Im nearly sure of the cause now, it must be some form of loose connection. I will report back with facts once I can take it apart.
Any other ideas still welcome, would be nice to hear from someone who's fixed this before.

[Q]Brightness

Hello forum mates I have my Note 2 since december 2012(9 months) and i was using my display on 100% brightness all the time since i bought it. Today i saw some threads about Burn in and that every amoled display have this issue after using the phone for months/years. I looked at the screen on lower brightness in dark room on all colors and i dont have the issue. My question is will using my phone on max brightness damage it( i wont use it more than 1.5-2 years) or i should put the slider on 50-70%? My screen time almost never goes to 3 hours or more and im more in the gaming and surfing the web than chatting and other stuff like this. Thanks in advance.
PS:I forgot to say I was using it on Dynamic mode but from 2 days im using red pill kernel colors calibration. And sorry for my bad English is my second language.

Phone getting heat!

I've already had kinda same question before, but for a clarification.. please reply!
is there a difference in ambient temperature like 27C room temperature without AC(Air-Conditioner) and 27C Air-conditioned room!
i;m really getting paranoid. my use with my mobile is moderate!
at a room temperature of 27-29(without air condition/fan) and brightness in the middle! (wifi/4g):
watching video gets the phone a very bit warm and when browsing(FB,Messenger,Watsapp) the battery temp goes around 32-33 and all the temperature in the sensors goes around 36-41 and msm goes from 36-40. Playing NOVA 3 battery temp goes a high of 34 and other sensors around 39-42C, with fan a degree or so becomes less and in an air-conditioned room, the degrees gets less 3C than the tamps mentioned above.
but everything goes up when I step out in an open environment like i'm travelling in a bus/train in the same ambient temperature, battery temps reaches 36-37, other sensors goes around 38-44. and the back of the phone stays really cool, but the screen just gets hot.. i lock the phone, it suddenly cools down, but when unlock it in seconds it gets heated again, same if i watch a video, the phone gets a bit warm ... is this normal/wierd? I've already replaced a phone and this also doing the same...
is it normal or am i getting paranoid please reply!

1. The back of the phone is aluminum it spreads heat, ever heard of a heatsink? It has copper to transport the heat and aluminum to spread it. The front of the phone is glass. Heat spreads less and stays at one position so it feels hotter then it is.
2. Smartphones heat up when using them, wouldnt be good either if they stayed chamber temperature. Ive seen people reach 80 degrees on the CPU when flashing a rom.
