Game booster mode - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell how to activate the game booster mode?
Sent from my Redmi note 5 pro running on miui 9.2.7.0

go into the security app, scroll down and pick the booster, then there is a list of games to pick. picking them starts them with the booster.

It just cleans your ram. I recommend not using it. We are not running gingerbread these days. Nougat can handle ram management by itself. Also kryo chip is fast enough to handle heavy games. No need to clear ram

ya they should have atleast added an change resolution option like samsungs game booster.

Lag games

so ive been really annoyed with game lag on my phone recently . I used to think it was just a normal part of android and the way its system works and keeps interrupting the processer to do other tasks in the background while I play, but amazingly enough i looked at some youtube videos and saw people playing on it with pretty much 0 lag. So what do you think I should do to get this fixed?
1. My set up is as follows: Inspire 4 G running Absolution Rom overclocked to 1.3 GHz whenever i open a game, using ADW launcher with 7 home screens and 8 main widgets apart from shortcuts on my home screens : widgets = android pro widgets facebook widget and calendar widget, speak to it assistant widget, some random clock widget, time magazine widget, CNN widget, evernote widget and a bookmarks widget. One day ago i also installed chainfire 3D trying to solve this but havent noticed any reall difference and the NENA mark test actually got worse with only 29 FPS now instead of my previous scores of 32 and 34 on a regular basis. active programs that i think the system would keep on all the time are whatsapp, Go-SMS, email, tasker, and the call recorder.
2. the games lagging that ive tested so far: temple run and real racing 2. gun bros used to lag on the stock rom but is okay on absolution.
so what do you think is my problem? should I download some plugin for chainfire? overclock some more? is it my widgets?? also would a phone slow down with more programs installed? I have a large 32 Gb Sd Card, does that affect my phone's speed?

No need for chainfire...
1. what i know from my personal experience, is that sense roms are ram hungry so you have to pretty much kill all the apps before playing games.
2. If you want good gaming experience? get LC ICS as it has the latest gpu drivers for adreno 2xx, and overall gaming on it is much better according to my own experience.
Absolution isn't a Sense ROM. I use Absolution as one of the ROM's on my SD card on my Boot Manager & it plays Temple Run flawlessly. With no overclock or ChainFire & undervolted -50ma. It's something with ur setup. Did u do a full wipe before flashing Absolution?

[Q] Reckless Racing 2 stutters, help?

Hi,
One of the first games I bought for my HOX is Reckless Racing 2, problem is: it stutters slightly. It's not that much, but enough to make it frustrating to play. Anyone have any idea how to fix this ? It seems to me the HOX should be able to easily run this game.
This is the only game where I have this problem.
My HTC is at stock rom, and I'm using Nova launcher
Hello, i play this game too and have no stuttering at all. Everything is nice and fluid ...
but don't know what can cause that except another task using CPU for example.
Make sur you don't have any application in background syncing or uploading something ...
To my knowledge there is nothing running in the background. But even then, this device has a Quad core, unless something pretty heavy is running, it should be able to handle that, no ?
What tool can I use to check if something is running in the background that uses cpu ?
Go to settings> Apps> Downloaded> Reckless> Clear Data and Force Stop. (If you dont want to delete your gamedata then just clear cache and force stop). Now reboot and launch the app.
OR
Redownload app, reboot, and launch the app. Then report back
And do hit thanks

lol this runs @ locked 60fps
since its running in low detailes mod, blurry textures, no shader effects no nothing
clumsy port
I cleared the cache and rebooted and it is indeed better. Not perfect, but better & playable.
Do you have an explanation as well ?
I just downloaded the game, its runs perfectly without any lag !
Running pokemon rom with bricked kernel !

7.0 gaming tweaks?

So I've debloated my tab and limited background process with dev options, this has made games playable but some aren't exactly smooth compared to my xperia sp, I feel it can do more, any suggestions?

i enabled "Force GPU rendering" and it seems to work more fluently.
Be careful with limiting processes though. Some games actually run more than one or two at a time, and limiting to anything less than 4 often causes the games to stall and crash. Sometimes even 4 isn't enough.

Thanks but force gpu is mainly for 2D stuff, it also causes Mc3 to crash on launch. I have background process set to 4 and have no issues

Asphalt 8 stutter

So i installed Asphlat 8 and it stutters at high graphics. Playable only at low graphic settings.
I checked via CPU Spy and CPU is stuck at 1.2GHz when playing game. I don't have any power saver function enabled and CPU run at full 2.3GHz when i am viewing high resolution images in Gallery. But in game it refuses to work on full speed hence making it impossible to play Asphalt at high settings.
I have SM-P605 S800 4G version, running 4.4.2 total Stock.
Suggestions?
Never mind...
I rooted the damn thing and put Cyanogenmod and wola. It is flying with high settings on Asphalt 8.
On Stock Rom, after playing Asphalt 8 for few minutes....
screenshot program
And On Cyanogenmod, after few minutes of Game play...

After running cleanmaster some apps.....

I been dealing with this problem for about a month now. I play a few games on my zenfone 2 2gb/16, wordchums, dice with friends, and a few jewel/gem games nothing big or too graphical. Everything was running beautiful but then I ran cleanmaster that came bundled on the phone and since then a few games take like 15 seconds to load and a few a so graphic laggy.
Has anyone else come across this? My zen is completely stock on latest 97 firmware bit been happening before I upgraded. I have tried recovery and cleaning cache partition but it has not helped... Any ideas? Thanks
I uninstalled clean master (like bundle antivirus Dr.Web), not bad app and is free with a lot of feutures but you can erasse file unvolontary and is full of scam, at least need ads blocker.
On my 4gb ze551ml fifa 16 run too slow and you need 3d app to downgrade resolution (auto config app, no video settings) and only close "asus audio wizzard" give lil' help. Run better and smothie tekken6 iso on ppsspp emulator.
Perhaps zf2 have openGL 3, more ram then all other device, so i can't understand why is so poor with gaming.
At boot zf2 perform zipaling, this is reason of long boot, anyway try wipe cache from recovery.
