Hi everyone.
I've just bought this smartwatch and I'm new about using it. So, I tried to install Android Wear 2.0. I go to settings>information>system updates and start to download the update. When it finishes (it takes a lifetime), the installation stops and I have to start again. It's always the same, I've reseted the device and still happens.
Does someone know what am I doing wrong?
I've bluetooth connected and paired, also wifi.

I just bought my Smartwatch 3 today. Other than the bulky clasp, I'm liking it a lot. I know Lollipop is on the way, but is it supposed to be on 4.4W.2 yet? I'm on W.1 and when I check for an update it says I'm on the latest software.
Maybe try Sony's update software http://support.sonymobile.com/us/tools/pc-companion/ , also make sure all the related apps on the connected phone are up to date, including Android Wear and Play Services.

Same problem for me so no 4.4W.2 = No GPS :crying:
Connected in USB to a PC, the SW3 isn"t totally recognized (Driver problem...) and cannot connect to Sony's PC Companion
All apps and Android Wear are on the latest version on my Nexus 4 (Lollipop installed)
Tried to reset and connect my SmartWatch 3 to my Sony Xperia Z2 tablet. No update available even connected to a KitKat Android 4.4
Tried this trick but didn't worked...
Reset the watch
While the watch is resetting, unpair watch in phone via bluetooth settings
Uninstall and re-install the Android Wear app
Pair normally
Once paired on watch, before even doing tutorial, go to Settings and check for updates
Finally updated after reading XorZone [Guide] Soft unbrick/reflash stock firmware
Power Off the SW3 normally
Download and install PC Companion
click on "Support Zone", it will be downloaded,
click on "Accessories software update" and then you can choose SmartWatch 3 and PC Companion App waiting for a SW3 connected in USB
Start the SW3 by a long press on the power button until an image saying "connect USB"
Connect the SW3, the driver will be automatically installed.
Sony Companion App will detect that an update is available i.e 4.4W.2
Download start and the SW3 is updated in less than 5mn
5.0.1 is out today.

Hello,
Purchased the Moto 360 from craiglist. (bad idea) but firmware will not update to 5.01 via OTA.
Build number is Metallica-userdebug 4.4WKGW18B.M194745 test-keys
I heard that this maybe in factory debug mode which will not update.
Is there way to update it besides custom ROM. (USB cable)?
With current firmware, Facer and Watchmaker does not work. (one of th emain reason that I purchase the Moto 360)
Any insights will be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks
Hi dude, i have the same ****... watch, can you solve?

this is the only way update from 4.4w
I can help you guys out. Just three days ago I bought my moto 360 at your SW version and had this EXACT issue. Here is how I fixed it.
First off, do yourself a favor and delete the lastest version of Android Wear on your phone. While you're at it, be sure to get rid of Moto Connect as well if you have installed it. Basically, what is happening, is android wear 4.4 doesn't seem to be compatible with the latest version of Android Wear for Phones, so as your phone is attempting to update your watch from 4.4 to 5.1.1, it throws this error.
Step two, disconnect your Moto 360 from your phone in the Android wear menu on your phone. Factory reset your Moto 360.
Step three, go to Here on your phone and download that APK to a location you can find it. This is an older version of android wear.
Step four, install this APK. Reboot your phone for good measure, and connect your Moto to your phone using the version of Android wear on your phone. MAKE SURE TO NOT ALLOW ANDROID WEAR ON YOUR PHONE TO UPDATE IN THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE.
Step Five, once everything is connected, on YOUR WATCH, go to settings --> about --> software updates. This step takes a LONG TIME, around 10-20 minutes, and your watch must be over 80% to complete this. When it finishes (the green circle wraps all the way around the X) it will ask if you want to upgrade. Tell it yes. When the watch finishes and reboot, FACTORY RESET IT AGAIN.
Step Six, With the watch reset, remove android wear from your phone, and do a fresh install on the play store. Now connect your phone to your watch. You should no longer have any issues. Your watch is now running Wear 5.1.1 and your phone is running the latest AW App. Go ahead, install Motorola connect and any other apps you want to have, and most importantly, ENJOY YOUR NEW WATCH!
To any mods out there watching, I'd recommend sticking this post or something. This is an error that is going to come up a LOT until google figures out why that happens. To my knowledge, this is the ONLY way to get a 4.4w2 Moto 360 running on the latest android wear release.
@dankaren thanks for your help, i alredy tried that tutorial but nothing, will try again tomorrow. Can be a possibility that the watch be a dummy or demostration one?

Go into watch Settings, About, and then System updates. Download the latest Android watch version. After updating, the ZenWatch Manager should connect with the phone.
