please help me out

First, we need to know more about your device.
You need adb and fastboot installed(I recommend Minimal ADB & Fastboot if you don't have already), HTC Drivers.
Put your phone in download mode and do "fastboot getvar all" remove imei/sn from output and post here.

HTC M9S is a completely different device internally, and only looks similar. Irrelevant thread closed.

Tried to flash rom from cyanogenmod 10 to sense rom, possibly bricked

I ordered a used HTC One X and it arrived today, needed to get a micro sim for it so i bought it, however whenever I tried to enter the sim unlock code on start up it kept saying request unsuccessful. After searching on this forum I found that the problem was because the phone had already been flashed on cyanogenmod 10, I was told that I would have to flash to a 'sense' rom for me to be able to unlock the sim. Having done this now I have managed to possibly brick my phone.
It gets passed the HTC logo and the jellybean loading screen keeps looping (jellybeans floating around screen). I downloaded the all-in-one kit and tried flashing stock recovery and kernal, and it managed to get past the booting screen to a screen showing that android is updating. however once it got to updating the last app it got stuck again. since then i havent managed to get back on that screen, just a continuous bootloop.
the phone originally was on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, with cyanogenmod 10(i think it was 10)
I tried flashing it to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970

perhaps I could fastboot an RUU?
Would really appreciate any help you could offer :crying:
also did the following
"If you have stock recovery
Download a Custom Recovery
Then flash it with the command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.3.1-endeavoru.img
Now you can flash a new ROM or nandroid backup"
now i cant even get to recovery. trying to flash recovery from all-in-one kit and it just says "waiting for device" now
Do you know fastboot commands
Phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode

Were you aware that the phone already had CM10?

I re-installed HTC Sync and managed to get connected to fastboot again
the version is 1.29.061.11
ive also managed to get CWM recovery working again
Here is the link to the ruu you need
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260736_signed.exe
Install :
Put the phone in fastboot usb mode and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Keep the phone in fastboot usb mode and right click the ruu on the pc and run it with admin rights !
It will bring back the phone to full stock and you will also be able to update the phone to software 2.17 ICS and after that to software 3.14 JB
Note : it will wipe the whole phone so back up stuff if needed
I managed to get it working in the end by doing that same method, took me forever to find the right ruu!
Thanks for your help :good:
Hey guys! It seems I've run into the same problem but unfortunately this fix is not applicable to me because my hboot is 3.16, which means there is no RUU available for my device! Can anyone help me??

[Q] OTA for HTC ONE M8

Hi,
First a confession, I thought I was pretty technically competent until entering the world of Android.
I have a HTC ONE M8. I rooted my device to get access to lots of new features, now though I desperately want to go back.
I have followed step by step all the advice of the Unlocker guide.
However whenever I attempt OTA it boots into fastboot. It doesn't update.
How can I ensure it doesn't boot into factboot?
Currently my HTC says in the fastboot page:
RELOCKED
Security Warning
M8_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
Any help to get me back on track would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know what the unlocker guide is.
Go to this thread.
READ the instructions. I won't hold your hand through this.
Find the stock nandroid that matches your device, plus the stock recovery. Make sure you have an unmodified system partition. That means no Xposed. If you are using it, uninstall all of the modules, then uninstall Xposed framework as well.
I don't know what carrier you are on/ M8 variant you have. Hook up to ADB/fastboot and issue the command fastboot getvar all and post it here (minus the serial number and IMEI for your own safety). I can probably find an RUU you could flash to go back to stock.

PS: I have tried to relock the bootloader via downlaoding fastboot_adb and using the following commands (although I have never installed custom ROM on my phone).
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot
I would like to return to the original HTc setting and update to Android 5.0 or whatever the latest update is available .
I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish with those commands.
1) Relocking the bootloader isn't necessary for OTA updates (although is needed for RUU). Relocked bootloader may make moving forward more difficult (depending on what solutions you try).
2) SuperCID 1111111 also isn't going to help your issue (so I don't know why you are trying to do it), and you can't do it with s-on.
3) Even if you haven't installed a custom ROM, its coming up as MODIFIED probably due to being rooted. You need to restore the stock ROM 1.80.720.1 (unrooting isn't enough) and stock recovery, to OTA. Alternately, you need the 1.80.720.1 RUU. I'm not too familiar with your variant, but in general, the steps I've described is what you need to do.
Read more, and see what you can learn about your variant. Because, it doesn't see like you have researched properly yet.

As @redpoint73 said, you make it harder when you relocked the bootloader.
Can you unlock it again ? If yes, you can do the following :
1. Install TWRP for M8 Eye - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62030698&postcount=144
2. Restore the 1.80.720.1 non-rooted nandroid backup
3. Install 4.30.720.4 stock recovery.img (I don't have 1.80.720.1 recovery.img)
4. Reboot then do multiple OTA up to the latest Marshmallow
Item 2 & 3 and How-To, check my thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
I remember there's a RUU zip for your device ... have to recheck, will advise you tomorrow if it is needed.

[SOLVED] [Q] Phone stuck on bootloader after relocking bootloader

I saw it on this thread that I can download an run RUU to fix this, and I've download this file for my AT&T M8. My question is, will it be all right to run this? I'm just making sure as I don't wanna brick my device. And if this not the way to go, can anyone help me in any way? Any help would be great.

That's the wrong RUU. You need this one.
1. But my HTC One M8 is AT&T, don't I need one for that?
2. Will it be all right if I do this? Will I brick my phone or damage the software in any way?

You have the Developers Edition model of the M8, which was sold by AT&T. You can tell that from your firmware version (OS) in your bootloader readout.
Regular AT&T models will show the firmware version being x.xx.502.x
Dev Ed model will show x.xx.1540.x
You won't damage your phone, but you might have to flash the firmware first before running the RUU if it fails. I'm not sure where to find a signed firmware (you need signed if S-On) but you could search for it.
Try running the RUU first to see if it works. You won't brick, you'll just get an error and the installation will abort if it won't work (if you need to flash the firmware first).
You could also try out the methods in this thread to return to stock ROM and recovery, and update via the official OTA.
Okay, thank you very much.
I'll try the RUU first and see what happens. Thanks again.

Cool! I haven't been in your OP for a while now. Very nice addition.
Hey, I got a 155 error saying RUU can't update my phone, I need to download the proper RUU. Please help me. I'm freaking out.
EDIT: I found this from this site, saying that 617 has replaced 1540 after the M9, maybe i need to download another RUU?

Crap! I forgot to tell you that since you are S-On you will need to relock your bootloader first
In fastboot: fastboot oem lock then run the RUU again

Did it. says 'bootloader already locked". Sorry for not including this info in the previous reply.
i guess, this has made s-on after flashing wrong firmware. (MID has changed or has flashed modified firmware; you or someone else). you have to s-off again to flash ruu.
post a fastboot getvar all without S/N & IMEI to see exactly what has happened.

This is for the M9 and devices made after (M10). This doesn't apply to the M8.
The RUU linked by xunholyx is the right one.
Did you try to flash the stock firmware (6.12.1540.4) then the RUU, as already advised?

How do you know its the AT&T version? Does it have the AT&T "globe" logo on back cover?
If so, it was probably s-off at one time, than had its CID changed, and RUU flashed to "convert" it to US Developer's Edition software.
You need to flash the RUU that matches the current CID, it doesn't matter what it was "originally". And most folks won't want the AT&T bloat and limitations, anyway.
After getting the error, I flashed the firmware mentioned here.
After that the RUU ran flawlessly.

hi, i used to have custom rom viperone m9 but since i want to sell my phone im trying to go back to original htc one m9 stock, after trying many things including making my phone S-OFF, trying to flash RUU files, locking bootloader, and finally flashing a stock rom according to a tutorial on xda developers, using android revolution HD to go back to stock rom.
my phone is now not booting up, it was just getting stuck on the htc logo, i tried changing from s-off back to s-on and locking bootloader (which may turn out to be a very big mistake) and now it just boots directly to bootloader and i cant get past the bootloader screen, ive tried doing factory resets and wiping cache in recovery and download mode but nothing is working, im not sure what to do so if anyone can help it would be appreciated!!! i just want to get back to original stock rom where i can get OTA updates and an unrooted phone.
thank you
pleaseeee can anyone help I cant use my phone
Have you tried installing a ruu according to your M9 model? Bootloader SOn or SOFF??
If you still have the unlock Token use it again, if not try for another. If it does not give you one, sorry you are in trouble. It took me at least two weeks trying different stuff, original roms and back-ups, you maybe lucky. In the end I had to send mine back to HTC, the forums on XDA developers did not help.
