Hi,
I got a little annoying problem that I can't seem to get fixed.
I don't get any vibrations whenever I get a notification apart from Whatsapp and Instagram.
So Mail, Snapchat, ... nothing.
Notification sound does work though!
But I got some more information which might help troubleshooting.
I use Lightflow because I don't want to have the LED except on very certain apps and I disabled these really annoying Banner notifications completely with the ADB command "heads_up_notifications_enabled 0"
I am pretty sure that I had working vibrations before the ADB thing but I don't see a real connection between Banners and Vibration especially because WhatsApp works correctly, just everything else doesn't.
I tried this solution but it didnt work:
Code:
Go to Setting -> Apps, click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select "Show system apps"
Scroll down and click on "BadgeProvider" app
In app properties, click on "Storage", clear both the Cache and Data.
Shut down the phone and following the directions below to "wipe cache partition".
Wipe cache partition
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight “wipe cache partition.”
Press the Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.
Galaxy S9
Telekom
Unrooted
ADB: Changed Banners and Ran the bxActions thing
I hope someone has an idea.
Thanks
EDIT: Okay it's solved. Apparently the mail program decided to switch the vibrations off by itself randomly and in Snapchat it was my stupidity to overlook the settings. Nevermind then

Hello,
How can I do a hard reset with wm5. If i push power and reset button. It will not hard rest. Because everthing in my agenda and all my contacts are still there.
And how can i format my sd card.
Thanx a lot
Press and hold the "Power" button, and then press the Reset Button
Colored stripes (the bootscreen) will appear on the screen
* Quickly press "Record" & "Camera" before the versions appear at bottom right
* OR, press "Power" & "Camera" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time
Either way mentioned above should work
You'll see three options on screen. You MUST change the second and the third to "yes"
* You can do that with the "Camera" and the "Record" buttons.
When you are done, press the "Mail" button
A white screen will show for a while - just wait.
It is presently clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing
When the bootscreen, aka. the colored stripes is displayed, wait more, you are booting
The welcome screen to set up your device will appear shortly ... and you are done...
Forget your gmail password / screen lock or you locked out? No Problem!
This option will wipe all your data! S be warned!
If you are in our area, we can recover your lost data!
I am not responsible for anything if you brick/ break/ or through your cell away! Ok? (won't happen if you follow my directions.

12 Extra) Here is a cool trick...
13) On the android setup on boot tap the upper left, upper right, lower right, and lower left corners without touching the setup buttons. Check that out!
Enjoy this cool device! (Another successful repair at Legacy Tech Computer Repair. Time for Root! I'll post that method later!)
UPDATE! Just found out this method won't wipe your internal storage for the picks / music etc! EVEN BETTER!

8) see the wipe / reset option now? Hit That option!
9) Now Wipe Cache
10) Reboot
11) Tadaaaahhhh!

Issues after update.
When having any issue after an update.
Anything from battery drain to the pin lock numbers showing up as white squares has been known to be fixed by this.
First:
Boot the device into the android system recovery menu
Press and Hold the volume up key, the Home key and the Power key. When you see "Recovery Booting" in very small blue text at the top of the screen you may release those keys
The Android robot will appear
A dos-looking menu will appear (note that your touch screen is disabled in this menu)
Using your volume keys as directional keys and your power key to select the desired option.
Highlight the option that states "wipe cache partition"
Press power key to select
the option "reboot system now" should then be highlighted; select that option using the power key
i done it but still have the same problem !

I did this steps and still have the same problem
Are you using a replacement battery? Not all are nfc capable. Also a case could block the signal, but you should still see the options.
So I was watching a show on my tablet. and then the tablet just froze. I tried to reboot it. and the screen just stays stuck at the Samsung Load screen. I have Team Win Recovery installed on it. So I used the commands to get into it. and see if I could reboot and reset through there. But when I go to reboot it tells me my System has no OS do I still want to reboot, reset or whatever I try to do.
My PC isn't recognizing my device. So I can open it up at all. I did not have a SD card in my Tablet. but I do have one in my phone and it does fit into my Note III so I believe it should/would work for any steps I may need to do to help fix this problem. Any ideas or suggestions on how to deal with this?
I've seen this before...
...THIS MAY OR MAY NOT work (CAPS for emphasis only).
The way we solve that because the symptoms you are describing are often the result of a corrupted cache that effects that startup of processes in the background. Clearing the cache might help if the following doesn't work, but don't clear it first because going through this process sometimes requires that whatever data is in the cache remain undisturbed...
(Remember, Android is just a portable version of Linux).
Part 1 of 2 - Enter Safe Mode (ignore all other directions except for using the hardware keys to enter safe mode)
Safe mode
Turn on and use safe mode
Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily remove all apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.
To turn on safe mode and use it to fix app problems, follow these steps:
Turn on safe mode
Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key.
When 'GALAXY Note 3' appears on the screen, release the Power key. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
'Safe mode' will display in the bottom left corner of the screen. Release the Volume down key when you see 'Safe Mode.'
Uninstall third party applications
Turn on Safe Mode.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
Tap Settings.
Tap the General tab.
Tap Application manager.
If necessary, swipe right to the Downloaded screen.
Tap the desired application.
Tap Uninstall and then tap OK.
Turn off safe mode
To turn off safe mode, follow these steps:
Press and hold the Power key.
Tap Restart.
The same steps are located on the following URL for entering Safe Mode:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-9049
Part 2 of 2 :
If you were successful in engaging Safe Mode, it is more than likely you will see an option screen come up that lists "TouchWiz" , KNOX (Possibly, and varies depending on your config and KNOW Counter Status {i.e. "0x0" or "0x1}, and TouchWiz Simple.
Please pick TouchWiz and DO NOT pick TouchWiz Simple.
Your Note 3 should then start without incident; however we would recommend you backup your data and reload your device with fresh installs as soon as possible.
Hope this helps.
The Tablet wont even boot up into Safe Mode. the Tablet doesnt boot at all. It just stays stuck at Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 screen.
I can use the hard keys to enter into Odin Mode and Team Win Recovery thats it.
Thanks for clarifying. Different steps will be required then. Be careful, and read the other two links carefully that are listed in order of importance to get your Note 3 back up and running:
[Step 1]
Hardware reset using Hardware Buttons ( You WILL LOSE ALL OF YOUR DATA {CAPS for emphasis only} )
Master reset with hardware keys
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys. To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
Back up all data on the internal memory.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time:
Volume Up key
Home key
Power key.
When 'GALAXY Note 3' appears on the screen, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
Press the Volume down key to highlight 'wipe data / factory reset.'
Press Power button to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight 'delete all user data.'
Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.
Press the Power key to turn the restart the device.
Directions also featured on the following URL: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-9049
[Step 2]
Forget about ODIN and you can use Heimdall with the build of your choice provided it is supported by the BootLoader (i.e. KitKat BootLoader will not load JellyBean).
The instructions are in the following URL as are links to the appropriate software:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545009
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH A USB3 Cable. Instead use a USB2 cable because USB3 connections via the Note 3 have been known to not be the most stable, and you will receive much more reliable connectivity using USB2 that is essential to the reload process.
Hope this all helps, and please let us know how successful you were.
Hello all,
Glad to be new to the Samsung Galaxy world!
Question, is there a way to clear cache all at once on the Galaxy S20+ without having to go into each app one by one? It's so refreshing to be able to clear all the waste data at one time in oppose to going through each app.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
Press Bixby / Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.

Even Pixels don't have that option anymore. It's entirely possible it's starting to become an Android thing overall with newer devices and OS versions
