Hello everyone,
I was wondering I bought a sim-965f-sd and was wondering will I have to set aprn settings to get it to work with cricket/ att? Or just plug and go? I recently switched back from iOS so memory refreshers would be great .
Thanks
You shouldn't have to. On AT&T I just swapped my Sim from the Honor phone I had over to the S9 and it worked fine. That was a new Sim when I put it in the Honor and it also worked without manually setting the APN. I did the same on my wife's Moto with no problems.

Hi, I have the UK 4G galaxy tab 3 8.0. I've been using a Three network voice/text/data sim in it for a few months, till I tried to go on the the browser and it said 'Your Sim Will Only Work in Your Phone'. Tried everything I could think of to get it to work. I called the network explained that my tab was a phone because I've been making calls off of it. They was having none of it and said my sim will no longer work for data inside my tab....killer!! It's my only source of internet and I haven't got another device to use it with. I was thinking possibly if I root it, there may be a utility which allows me to change what my tab is seen as. For example change it so it's recognised as a phone and then my sim will start working again. It's never going to work again as it is at the moment. I've rooted it before and didn't really want to do it again, because it kept screwing my data connection, I unrooted and it's been fine for weeks. Please someone help! If I have missed any details, sorry.
P.s the tab came from Vodafone UK with a sim contract that is not being used anymore, I bought the tab near enough brand new but still pre-owned.
Thanks anyway
hi guys
I have recently got back from australia where i bought an unlocked note 2 7105t. I have used the phone in oz with no dramas and with different sims. As it was unlocked i thought it would be ok to use in the uk. I have put an orange sim card in and its not blocking it but i cannot make any calls even to the customer service number. Check balance or find out what my phone number is
I have also tried with a friends sim card and i couldn't make any calls with that either. No errors are given and it reads the sim.
Does anyone know what is wrong
Its driving me mad!!
Thanks in advance
Change the modem and baseband....and try again.....:good:
hi i dont think that works
Hello,
My brother bought a dual sim adapter for his lg. After 3h of struggling to put it in correctly the phone finally recognized sim1 and a new sim switching menu appeared. The problem is, that whenever he tries to switch the card, the phone keeps going back to the sim1.
So my question is, did anyone try it?
And do you think that it may be the roms fault (fulmics)?

So... I purchased a used Samsung Note 10+ from a very nice gentleman last night and everything had been going great up until I realized that I can't receive MMS. I did some digging and realized that this phone was purchased in Canada. I currently have a Samsung S7 Edge on AT&T Straight Talk service and was hoping to pop in my card and change some settings. I can send and receive messages but can't get any of my MMS or internet. I have tried every APN setting that I can find. I have considered switching over to the Verizon service side of Straight Talk but am not sure if this will work either in this phone. Any help with this matter would be great. Thanks
Well, I tried a different sim card in it last night that uses CDMA service and couldn't get that to work either. The only thing that I can find that is different is the APN Type settings don't match. Any thoughts on this? I'm willing to try some things before I throw my hands up and work on selling it to someone that can use it.
Sorry dudeā¦

Not sure if you tried this already, but why don't you call Tech Support and tell them you purchased an unlocked Note 10+ and need to manually enter the internet APN and MMS APN settings? They should have the most current (and correct) settings to use.
The unit is a Canadian model, and it is technically identical to the unlocked US version, so there is no impediment aside from configuration settings.

Have you tried flashing the USA firmware?
I have not tried flashing the firmware yet because it should be almost identical to the US version. I do not have a US model to compare to currently but should be able to find one and check the settings. I need a screen shot of the APN settings from a Note 10 plus that is running AT&T. I would also like a screen shot of the verizon settings as well

The firmware is nearly identical but worth switching over to. I purchased a USA unlocked version which has the model N975U1 to use in Canada. I switched it over to N975W using the firmware online and Odin. You can download the latest N975U1 with your carrier specific firmware and you'll likely have the APN working correctly (I used SamMobile).
Great work guys, as always!!! Flashing the firmware over to N975U1 worked like a charm. It still surprises me how just a little bit of code can make all the difference in the world. Thanks again for the quick responses and great support!
Hi, I just switched from a Mi Max 3 to a Mate 20X since ATT is removing 3G, and haven't had any luck finding or setting up VoLTE on my Mate 20X. I'm fully updated to EMUI 11 and the option simply doesn't exist to turn on VoLTE. I've tried setting up a new APN as well, with no luck.
How should I go about getting it working? As ATT locks down any lines that don't have VoLTE.

It's been discussed this thing 20x.. You don't setup an volte on your phone firstly your mobile OP must support it then it will be auto enabled..

I did a lot of reading on these forums about that. I had called into ATT support last night and they said enabling VoLTE was something that they were unable to do for my IMEI on my line. To the point that ATT will actually lock my line out from even functioning once I try to get that device setup. Would I have to give them an IMEI for another device with VoLTE, have them unlock my line, and then put the sim card back in the Mate 20X?
Update on this, I tried a friends T-Mobile sim card in my phone and it worked with no issue. VoLTE started up completely fine. ATT is just being dumb with me when they say they can't activate VoLTE on the line.
So, would I need to bring in a completely different device with VoLTE and give them that IMEI. Then plop the sim card back in my Mate 20X?

they are against huawei and they in purpose not enabling it ... so they lying to you...
Get tmobile or verizon instead.. such messing around shouldn't happen an dsome imei locking n sht... They talking b-sht.. you already told them imei so they have you on black list..

No problems with that, switch to T-Mobile it is then. Heck even Google Fi or something like that.
I think they're telling me the device they see off of the IMEI isn't allowed, not blocking the IMEI or anything.

Because they are paranoied thinking huawei will listen them or something...

Thanks ATT.
Most of my family is on ATT, but I have someone in it on T-Mobile. Will be heading there later.
I already switched to T-mobile after 9 years with ATT
They simply locked out my phone
T-mobile works fine no issues
