Hello,
My brother bought a dual sim adapter for his lg. After 3h of struggling to put it in correctly the phone finally recognized sim1 and a new sim switching menu appeared. The problem is, that whenever he tries to switch the card, the phone keeps going back to the sim1.
So my question is, did anyone try it?
And do you think that it may be the roms fault (fulmics)?

I got a Tmobile compact IV (diamond) sevral weeks ago in nerthlands. and flash the rom successfully.
However ,there is a boring issue that the machine always went to death when the TMOBILE sim card inserted in. while i use other sim cards it can work!!
I really dont know what is the hell going on with the fuking machine. I even unlock the sim lock and pay for 15 euros!! The mater still exist~~
forgive my bad english . and anybody can help me ?
maybe you have a faulty sim card?? try another t mobile sim card - if you unlocked it and all other sims work it should be fine
Up to what state it boots up before dying.
i also got my t-mobile phone recently.
when i inserted the t-mobile sim card in, it froze the mobile while searching for network...
t-mobile told me that is because my sim card from t-mobile is not activated yet and it usually takes 48 hours before I can use it.
when did you choose to "activate your contract"? did you choose to activate it immediately?
you can try the t-mobile sim card on other phone. it must also show "limited service".
I guess the problem is not your phone.
hi to all, recently i buyed a chinesse GN2 with dual sim everything was fine, i insert my sim card and i don't have network, ok no problem say to me, maybe i can turn on the wi-fi, well the phone freeze when i turn on the wi-fi, i had to remove the battery no response for any button, i try to backup my rom but something go bad and i lose my chinesse Galaxy, i can't enter into a factory default or recovery mode, the phone only show samsung screen then boot again...so it's a boot loop.
any help?
This forum is for the International Note 2 version (N7100) only. Other than that, these chinese phones have very less or no guarantee of either software or hardware. You'd be better off if u sell it and buy an international version of the note 2. Possible solutions are to keep looking and find a solution on a chinese websites (my friend looked for roms on many of them for his chinese note 1), or contact the seller for the faulty device...

Hello, I had searched a lot for an answer for this problem.
I bought a LG F400L on ebay yesterday and when I put my Vodafone CZ sim card inside it asks me for my pin code but afterwards I dont get any signal. It just looks for signal but actually doesnt connect.
Phone is unlocked, I tried choosing networks manually and nothing. I have no idea if this could be sim card issue (Which I just replaced, so this one is new) and I should get another one or Sim card reader problem?
Im really desperate now as I have no other phone at the moment
Please Help.
Hi there,
I am a so far satisfied owner of a G3 but since 10 days I have been having an issue with my G3 and I wanted to ask around if someone here has an idea or some thought that could help.
My situation is the following:
About 2 weeks ago I switched my mobile service provider. When my new SIM card from my new provider arrived I tried the SIM card in my G3 but there was just the massage "no sim card found" and no possibility to type in your PIN. So I thought maybe I got a defective SIM card, it happens. I ordered a new one but the problem remained with the new card in my G3 aswell, still no pssibility to type in my PIN. So I tried troubleshooting and started trying the SIM cards in diffrent phones. In other phones the SIM card from the new provider worked perfectly and I was able to type in my PIN like it should be. When I tried putting other SIM cards in my G3 (from my Mom, Dad etc. and also from different providers) none of them worked in my G3. Even my sisters SIM card from the same new provider AND she has also a G3. So far it seems that the my G3s SIM card reader is broken.
The weird thing is that when I put in my G3 my old SIM card from the old provider the prompt to type in my PIN appears as normal as ever. If I type in my PIN the phone accepts the PIN normally. There is just no reception which is normal because I am not with my old provider anymore. I also have to add that the phone appears not to have SIM lock. I bought it from a private seller but he bought the G3 with a vodafone contract and I was with O2 at that time and the phone worked perfectly. Just until I switched from O2 to Congstar (Telekom) the problem began.
So I thought I just send it back to LG because I still have warranty on the device. The phone is rooted so I need to admit that it was not that clever to send the phone in without rolling back the rooting. Today I got a letter from the repair service from LG with an estimate of cost which means no surprise, no warranty for me. You guess right, the reason is the rooting they write they need to change the whole mainboard. For me this sound like plain bull**** because on the document they send it seems like the first thing they check is a rooting and if the device is rooted then thats the cause. But ok it was pretty stupid from me not to unroot it, I know.
Now I wanted to ask you if someone had a similar problem with their G3 or has an idea what the cause could be. Like mentioned above with my old SIM card the phone worked normally. Just the new cards and all other cards, even another O2 card did not work. Is it possible that just one and only one SIM cards gets accepted from the phone?
Sorry for the long post. I am thankful for any advice.
Best regards,
Patrick
I'll have my phone back tomorrow. If someone still has an idea I would be very thankful about some thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks!

It seems your phone is Sim locked.
You need to find the unlocking code that you need to put in the hidden menu.
Google for LG G3 Sim unlock.

Hi,
thanks for your reply! Iam not sure it is because of sim lock- Because the phone came with a vodafone contract but when I bought it I was with O2. And with my old sim card from O2 the phone worked perfectly. Weird is that when I put in a different O2 sim card the pin prompt also did not appear. Same with any other sim card ...
Thanks,
Patrick
Or did maybe someone have a similar experience with a different phone?

Hi again,
I tried some more things but still nothing helped.
The things I tried were:
- unrooting the phone and factory reset
- reflash radios
- try completely diffrent rom (CM)
Still I have no idea what the cause could be. Maybe the sim card reader is just broken. Just weird that it reads my deactivated sim card.
I would really appreciate it if someone has an idea or some similar experience..
Thanks!
You can buy an unlock code for 3.5-4€ , works for any LG G3 variant
Try it
Ok, thanks! I will try it!
So I just looked at what I have to do and tried the combination 2945#*855# to see where I have to type in the code. The thing is when I choose any one of the appearing options like netlock etc. the phone says "this phone is permanently locked" and there is no possibility to type in any code...
How the hell is my phone completely locked...
Hello guys, i have some issues with my LG G3. As the title says, the phone isn't reading the sim card, sometimes, it's working just fine, for a couple of minutes, then, a countdown begins, saying "No sim card detected", in 10 seconds my phone will reboot and that's it. "No sim card detected" again.
Every other aspect is working just fine.
Things i've already tried:
- Switching sim card and switching the sim carrier.
- Replacing sim card & microSD reader.
- Pressing down the sim card at the startup.
- Hard / Factory reset.
All of those for nothing.
I'm thinking is an software problem, is that possible?
Exactly the same problem!! Has been in and had a new sim tray, worked for 3 days then back to no sim, no service, emergency calls only. Taped down sim, changed sim, factory reset, nothing!! I am so frustrated! It's only just over a year old too so I'm not due an upgrade and it's out of warranty.
I have same problem

unfortunately, this has nothing to do with our problem, my g3 shows the correct IMEI. will try to heat the area of the motherboard located behind the sim card reader with my heatgun. some guy got it to work like this ( though he did not show any actual evidence supporting his claim, and neither did i ask for it)
