Many of you well atleast some knows me from the..
Xperia XZ or XZs forums and now i post a small mod
for you all XZP users called Font selector with several fonts like:
Sony sketch, fineliner, expletus sants, Rosemary and many more.
I figured out howto get this working on Oreo.
.. Requirements :..
Odexed/deodexed rom
Superuser mod (patched services.jar)
[it's a must to have superuser mod]
Twrp recovery
Xperia XZ Premium with Oreo
. Howto install: .
Turn off device
Boot into twrp recovery
Flash zip
Reboot

It must be there in settings/display kinda down below otherwise the services.jar is not correct patched, use then the services.jar from my RXS bro @Beetle84 his thread.

I use older twrp 3.1 and my bro @Beetle84 confirmed thay this is working fine so i dunno what you do wrong buddy and i test this also and works also and i do always several tests before release

Have you downloaded smali patcher and ran it on your pc? The services.jar I posted needs to be ran through smali patcher.

Instructions:
1) need root and superusermod
2) install as normal apk
3) apply and reboot ..after reboot only the notification dropdown will be themed
if above not working
1. Install Xposed Framework[http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401]
2. Use the Xposed Installer app and install Serajr Xperia Xposed for jb or kk[as ur os version]
3. Enable the module and reboot.
3. In the installed Serajr app go to System -> Enable customisation -> Enable "Super User Mode". Reboot again.
4. Install theme
5. Go to Personalisation and apply theme and reboot

try decompile any theme which is released and see the difference between them and learn...this is how i m learning

Saying it is not working properly doesn't help anybody. Please give us a detailed description of everything what isn't working as expected, tell us what firmware you are on, tell us if you have SUPERUSERMOD installed or not. Using the aforementioned information we can help.

Sorry for that .....ya m on supermod droid 4.3 xperia m dual 2005 ...15.5.a.0.18.....and problem is that the genuine xperia themes works properly change in home screen menu buttons works great but on installing these type of selfmade themes only walpaper change is there......as u suggested i rebooted my
phone nothing happend ....no change in home icon as shown in d screenshots...plz guide now...what to do???

do u have superusermod checkbox ticked in it?
if yes ...then check whether u enable the module in xposed installer
if yes reboot
now apply theme..
reboot

i have ported z3 lock screen to our device.
requirement:
Root
Deodexed
Full backup of current states (just in case anything goes wrong)
installationEazy phizzy)
Download attachment
extract on sd
Go to any root file explorer
copy all three files to
system(not in system/app)
give permission RW-R-R
now move all that files to system/app(Replace if asked)
reboot your phone
TADA its done
for best effect apply xperia live wallpaper
its a humble request not to give up if you fail or face any challenge

ya because some times i found problem in animation while applying non xperia themes
i dont know how to fix but after deodexing i found the problem was gone
however you can try and report back

So here is what you should do.. ODEX THE ROM.
I've been searching for tutorials how to odex and tried a few but I faced boot loop ,but this guide is perfectly working ...
I've tested it on Carbon(4.4.4) and it will work on other ROMs too.

How to do?
Download the zip(available in the original thread) , install it from recovery.
Open terminal emulator(will be installed when you flash that zip)
Type odex .
It will show list of operations that can be performed.
Then select any one (better if you select all apps option )
Wait till it does its works
Reboot.

First of all thanks @Pandemic for sharing the Xperia 10 boot animation.
To use this on my z3c I converted it to 720p and made a Magisk Module; both bootanimation.zip file (to install it manually) and the Magisk Module are attached.
Press the :good: button if you find this helpful!

Got it working on my XC running eXistenZ Oreo by resizing desc. txt (720x1280), and changing path from /oem/bootanimation.zip to /oem/media/bootanimation.zip.

Can you please covert the original one to magisk? Your module works, but too small for MIX 3, and that TWRP flash doesn't work for me, thx!
update: Sorry, it works after I uninstalled Pixel bootnimation module.

I see, the path for the bootanimation on Z3c is /system/media so I just used this path on the module. You did right for your phone, seems that sony changed paths on newer phones, is that right devs?

The module with the original @Pandemic bootanimation file (1080p) is attached below, let me know if it is working or not.

Lately there's been 2 bootanimations - one in system and one in oem. For me, the one in oem is in /oem/media, but in the Pie zip from the op here, it's in /oem...

To use this on my z3c I converted it to 720p and made a Magisk Module; both bootanimation.zip file (to install it manually) and the Magisk Module are attached.

The magisk module doesn't appear to be working on xz1c running pie. I see bootanimation.zip in both system/media and oem/media folders on the phone.

The one I've attached only replaces the file on system/media, so might be compatible only with 'older' xperias, I'll update a new magisk that replace on both paths soon then.

it's been updated on mxperial's initial post with a v2 file. However, it still does not appear to be working. I'm not sure why or if there's a 3rd location for bootanimation. [emoji849]
