Have anyone of you guys experienced bubbles underneath the installed glass? The reasons sellers would say is that our phone is curved and that's why it doesn't stick properly. Well, the edges of our phones are almost similar with iphone 6s & 7 and even 8. I dont see any bubbles on their glass?
Temporary fix is by applying olive oil (saw it on YouTube)
Is there any shop online selling reliable glass?

You normally wouldn't not face air bubbles issue if your tempered glass is fully adhesive.
For curved screen, you need use your fingers / palm, apply some force from top to bottom swipe to push the air bubbles out while apply, having your nail at the another end (bottom) to ensure the tempered glass's edge is not closed before your another fingers / palm yet to swipe until bottom. (Generally on flat screen, you can apply force to middle, to force the bubbles out to edge, since it's curved, it not possible).
*Note: for side-adhesive only, it's almost impossible to get (0) air bubbles. Unless you use something like you mentioned in your post.

Placed with a LOT of care could be great. It has adhesive in borders and glass part sticks like normal tempered glass. You need to hold the borders and press from the middle, so bubbles go out from mid to borders.
Other full screen covers that are made from plastic are not recomended. I tried a lot, (the ones with annoying little dots pattern), sticks only in sides, mid is full of bubbles (not to talk if it catches a little humidity, OMG) and touch sensitivity is compromised.
There may be more brands with similar products (we all know how chinese manufacturers works) but its really hard to tell which is the good one from the seller pages, its a trial and error.

There's a new screen protector. It's called Nano Glass Protector. Has no bubbles after installation. Bought it at my hometown's Mi Store. Looks something like this (pic)

I'd avoid the hard plastic static-type. They're difficult to put on without dust. I've been using the ones from clearprotector (.com). 50% off and free ship with the code iwantultra (have it memorized cause I've gotten several). The corners and edges are kind of a ***** to get on, but they work well and come with a lifetime warranty (or so they say...). This is a wet-application so don't use them unless you're willing to take the time to watch the youtube videos to learn how to install, and then takes about 20 minutes to install.
I get mine from www.bestskinsever.com. I've had no problems with them. The screen protector is easy to apply and very durable.
I have Ghost Armor on mine and like it, it is a bit smoother than Zagg or Bestskinsever.
Be warned if you want the full body protection, adding this to the back of my tab caused me to have the newton ring problem. I never had the problem with just the screen protector on, I should I have just stuck with the screen and not the entire thing but I really wanted the matte back on my tab.
Thanks fellas. I have and used to do/use the wet application ones for a while. Then I got tired of them and just went with the cling ones. I think I'll get the wet app and it should last a longgg time. Especially since Im not going to be using the tab every day.
I went with Clarivue on the recommendation of a friend.
It's decent enough, no tackiness or anything like that but it's not the best fitting, could've been a couple of mm wider and taller.
Other than that, whilst I've had a long-standing dislike for them, recently I've found Zagg's InvisibleShield protectors to be pretty decent - they seem to be very well fitted and the tacky feel to them that I remember doesn't seem as noticeable.
Kinda wish I'd gone with them for my Tab
Which would you guys say offers the smoothest screen experiences of all? I don't care about longevity as I only use my tab about once every 2 weeks

I was never a fan of the "wet" applications, to me it just seemed like too much work and I was never comfortable spraying any type of liquid all over my devices, regardless of how harmless they might be.
But anyway, this is a clear, non-matte protector that is the "static cling" kind of application. Once it goes on properly, you cannot see that is even there. The touch feeling is the same as if you had no protector on. I really feel that those matte ones, while they do reduce sun-glare, a lot of them provide a "tacky" feeling that maybe is fine for a smaller screen such as a phone, but can become very annoying for a larger screen if you do a lot of swiping across the larger surface area of a tablet. But that is a personal thing....I usually don't use my tablet outside in the bright sun anyway, so the matte types are useless for me.
I've had it on since the end of July and it's held up very well. You do have to wipe the smudges off the screen occasionally, but you'd have to do that anyway even with no protector. I'm extremely satisfied with these.
So I've got an Invisible Shield en route for my Tab, will post back when it arrives.

I just bought the glare-reduction screen protector from BodyGuardz. Has anyone else had any experience with them? I wanted something that would offer a decent amount of protection for the screen (fingerprint and physical pressure), but also not reduce the touch sensitivity at all. (I type with the tip of my nose since I can't use my fingers, and trying to press too hard hurts )
Not sure where you can get it, but here in Singapore there's a brand called DataFlex and their screen protectors seem really good.
I bought SGP steinheil shield ultra optics. I liked it.

So this newton ring issue is a major problem. What if I just protect the back and leave the screen open? I have the new logitech keyboard case on the way and the front is protected in the case, but the back is exposed. I planned on protecting the back only. But I wont do anything if it'll case the newton rings.

Yeah. Same here. Just want a more "grippy" back. How does one produce Newton Rings from the back of the device. Methunked it was a display issue resulting from the interaction of the protector and display glass...kinda by definition...
Hopefully we'll find out soon. I just want to protect the back.

I blame the install of the rear skin because I had the screen skin installed first and then three weeks later I had the rear done. He turned the tab face down and installed the skin. When he turned it over, bam, Netwon Rings...
I never had them before the front screen protector, during the front screen protector install or after the front protector was on the Tab.
Will it happen to you? I have no idea but from what I have read about the problem it is caused because of the Tab moving/flexing which can be caused by excessive heat and certain handling of the Tab.

I bought an anti-glare protector from Cellularbuy on eBay and managed to get it on in one go with no dust at all. The protector fits perfectly and the camera and light sensor holes line up spot on. The anti-glare makes the screen look a little grainy, but I hear that even the Steinhell ones that are many times more expensive have the same problem.
This has been gone over millions of times on each forum here, but here's how I did it:
-Wipe the screen down with a soft cloth and glasses cleaner or isopropyl to get any grease off
-Run the shower in a small bathroom on hot until the room is unbearably steamy
-Put on a hat to keep your hair and head funk from falling on the screen
-Line the protector up on the screen before removing the film and tape it on one side with a few pieces of Scotch tape
-Also make a "handle" out of tape to put on the top of the protector opposite the taped-down end. This will help with alignment
-Go into the bathroom and clean the screen with a good microfiber cloth. Also clean the front and back protective sheets on the film so there's no dust to come off when you start peeling them. The steam should be enough to wet it. Take one final look
-Peel the protector back and lay it down pulling the taped edge taut to keep it lined up
-Smooth any bubbles out with a credit card BEFORE peeling the top sheet off
IF you do have any dust, use a piece of tape on a corner to lift up the protector and another piece of tape to pick up the dust. If the room is steamy enough and you did a good job of wiping the screen this shouldn't happen.
i just installed my glas.tr nano yesterday. i have no major bubble issues, but i do seem to be having one minor issue along the top left edge of the screen. i have several very small bubbles all clustered together. it almost looks like there's a lack of adhesive in that particular area. i won't be able to get any photos until later this evening as i'm at work right now, but i'll be sure to toss up some shots as soon as i'm able.
i've squeegee'd the living crap out of the spot to no avail. now perhaps i just need to give it another day or two to settle, but something tells me this cluster of bubbles isn't going to clear up on it's own.
i'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has been experiencing issues with the glas.tr nano?

i've placed an order for the, Spigen GLAS.tR NANO SLIM Glass Screen Protector yesterday.
is it the updated version of the glass that u are using?

If you look closely at the N5's glass under reflection, you can tell that the glass is not flat. There are minor curves on the glass.
The glass protectors are designed with adhering to a piece of flat glass in mind; the minor bumps on the glass may cause the protector to not adhere properly.
You may try to use a clamp to hold the protector in place for a while for the adhesive to settle.

Not sure I agree with this. My glass.t is on with ZERO bubbles. You have to be extremely careful when putting them on however, it's very difficult not to get dust trapped underneath during application.

How un-flat the glass is is different on every phone; it's like those hand-made glassware. Your phone's glass probably is relatively flat so the protector adheres very well.
I have this same issue with clusters of bubbles in the black areas but its with the Nillkin Tempered glass protector (They are all relatively the same thing). Is yours on centered and all or is it a little off?
@Mythos123 - i'm not aware of there being an "updated" version of the tr nano. i know there were signifcant bubble issues with the t and tr slim, but it's my understanding that the issue was corrected before spigen pushed out the nano line.
@timothyung and @se1000 - i suppose uneven glass could be the culprit, but i'm moreso inclined to believe it's an issue with the protector itself. of course, a picture is worth a thousand words, and i'll get a few pics posted as soon as i'm able, but this doesn't look like the protector is just not hitting the glass due to unevenness. it looks like the edge doesn't have enough adhesive to keep the protector stuck down.

the OCD in me just wouldn't let the bubbles go so i tried to remove and re-apply the protector. totally should've snapped photos first, doh!
anyway, the re-application was a double-edged sword. i fixed bubbles along one edge, but then introduced new bubbles along a different edge. i think maybe i'm just getting dirt on the edges with my fat fingers since this nano is so damn slim, hah! i may order another after a few months, but i think i'm going to stick with the one i've got for now. it feels great, and the screen is beautiful.
damn, looks like it's hard putting this thing on without getting any kind of issues...

Run the shower for 20-30 minutes to get alot of steam built up, use a couple of pieces of tape on one side so you can do the hinge method of application and get your fingertips sufficiently wet so that you don't leave any fingerprints on the adhesive side of the screen protector should you accidentally touch it. The steam in the air in the bathroom will eliminate most dust from getting in and as long as you really make sure the screen is OCD clean with no dust particles, you should come out with a beautiful perfectly centered application.

Just installed my glas.tr nano, and other than one small piece of dust I carelessly allowed to get trapped between it and the screen, it is literally perfect. I ran the shower, and used the hinge technique, but I don't think I ran the shower long enough.
Someone said in one of these threads 'feels better than the naked screen', and I agree. The naked nexus 5 screen feels a bit sharp at the edge, the tr nano has a similar nice felling to the naked nexus 4 screen, which I always kept naked because any screen protector ruined that nice feel.

Ok so you bought a zenfone 3. Beautiful little piece of hardware isn't it ? The glass and metal design looks premium alright but it would be a pity if you got the screen all scratched or shattered. Remember that gorilla glass 3 is scratch resistant not scratch proof and it can be scratched quite easily by dust particles and sand. Also it can be easily shattered like any glass. Only sapphire glass can be called scratch proof but you won't see sapphire glass mass produced for smartphones screens any time soon because it's too expensive and very difficult to produce for larger surfaces.
So the best way to protect your precious screen is by applying a sheet of tempered glass. It has a higher scratch resistance than gorilla glass and it is designed to shatter on impact to dissipate the shock energy that would otherwise destroy the screen glass. It is very easy to apply on smartphones with flat screen surface but there's a catch. There is a new design that's being implemented on smartphones screens for a while now with curved margins and all which is generically called 2.5d glass. Zenfone 3 features such a screen. So what's the problem you may ask ?
Well long story short this means you can't apply a flat tempered glass on a screen with rounded margins without the manufacturer being forced to reduce its dimensions to only cover the flat surface, unless you can find a manufacturer that produces tempered glass with curved margins. So far I could only find such screen protectors for the Galaxy Edge series. They are nowhere to be found for our beloved asus zenfone 3 for example.
So yeah there are plenty of flat screen protectors for the zenfone 3. I myself got one from Nillkin. It is carefully dimensioned to only cover the lcd on the left and right margins. Problem is that the curvature of the screen starts somewhere from 1-2mm from the inner side of the lcd depending on the manufacturing tolerances. This means that even if you perfectly position the tempered glass there will still be 1-2mm on the margins that will hang in midair because it can't stick to the curvature. From what I could find this issue is commonly referred to as the "halo effect". And it's ugly as f*ck.
So there's good news and bad news. Good news is that I've found a way to properly apply the tempered glass even on the margins. Bad news is that you need some tools you won't find in the original package, namely a VISE (yes, that thing on the WinZIP icon) and SILICONE OIL or VASELINE (both have to be perfectly clear with absolutely no colour and make sure they don't change colour in time).
I only did this once with a Nillkin tempered glass for my ze520kl but it should work for any curved screen.
Ready ? Ok so go ahead and perform the steps as indicated on the original packaging (clean the screen with the alcohol wipe, dry the screen with the dry wipe, dedust the screen with the anti-static sticker, perfectly align the screen protector and apply it). Obviously it won't stick to the margins so here comes the hard part.
This is going to take a lot of patience but not much effort. The key to sticking to the margins is a lot of constant pressure and if that fails this is where the silicone oil comes in handy to fill the gap between the screen and screen protector.
So this is what I did to get a perfectly applied tempered glass on my zenfone 3.
-First I tried to fill the gap on the margins with a drop of silicon oil and then I applied pressure on the margin intermittently with my thumb to help the silicon oil to get inside the gap easier then I wiped the excess. The purpose of the silicone oil is to create a clear visco-elastic medium, a bridge if you like, for the light to travel between the screen and the screen protector without changing path (without too much refraction). Problem is that it can't fill the whole void and you still get a bit of halo here and there as there is still some air trapped within the adhesive.
-This is the part where the vise comes in handy. I strongly recommend you use a vise with rubber protection on the jaws (or whatever they're called). You could in theory do this with your thumbs but it is very hard and tiring and you can't apply constant pressure for a long time.
So I fitted a margin of the screen in the vise and tightened the jaws hardly enough to forcefully compress the adhesive and remove the air bubbles trapped inside but soft enough not to actually crack or damage the touchscreen. Then I left it in there for about 1 hour on each of the 4 sides. If there was still some air trapped in the adhesive I would apply some pressure with my thumb to stir it a little and then I put it back in the vise and leave it for a while longer until there would be no air left.
After 4-5 hours I got a perfectly applied screen protector on my zenfone 3 with no halo effect on the margins.
Since I've never done this before I have no idea how long this will last and if the problem will ever occur again. But if it does then all you need to do is just apply some more silicon oil periodically and you're done. There won't be the need for the vise anymore.
Good luck and I hope this bit of information will help someone in the long run to develop and perfect the method. I doubt the average user has a vise installed on his/her desk so this tutorial is mostly intended for the more savvy people. Don't blame me if it doesn't work for you or if you damaged your phone.
Also, I suspect that on various models of smartphones there won't be the need for the silicone oil and all you need is just some good constant pressure.

I've seen many people with the same problem as yours, that is why I haven't got a screen protector.
I have some under watch in eBay, but I'm waiting on feedback before purchasing
I bought those "liquid/nano Screenprotectors" coz they fit every screen.
I dont know if they are good but my screen is still like new.
Ultimate Shield are now doing glass protectors for a range of Honor and Huawei devices, including the P20 Lite. They are priced to be a bit more premium, but I have used them in the past and been quite happy with them. This was before the trend of curving the edges of phone screens though. These are full sized protectors with a coloured border, but the glue is full coverage rather than just at the edges. I have just fitted one to my son's new P20 Lite. As it has just been fitted I am unable to comment on durability yet. However the fit seems pretty good. As mentioned, it covers the front of the device fully from edge to edge both horizontally and vertically. The hole for the speaker and camera lines up perfectly, but it does look like the black borders encroach a little onto the actual display area at the sides. I don't think this would be enough to impede usage of the phone on a daily basis. It is just noticeable as it disrupts the flow of the rounded corners. The edges are nicely rounded and are not a harsh edge, unlike the cheap protector that I currently have on my Honor View 10 (I have bought an Ultimate Shield for this too, just haven't fitted it yet). I did manage to get one tiny bit of dust under the protector which has caused a small bubble, but this is under the display in the chin area so no real issue and not a fault with the screen protector. There was another bubble at the top left of the display, but keeping pressure on this meant it eventually disappeared. At the edge in the same area I noticed a small sized air pocked just creeping out along the black border, almost as if it was a tiny area with the infamous halo. This isn't noticeable with the screen on and I hope it will go over time. Overall I am quite happy with how it fits and looks. The only real negative is that the supposed oleophobic coating doesn't seem to be doing a great job. But, tbh, I don't think I have ever found a screen protector where it has worked as I expected. Are my expectations just not realistic? Or do we have particularly oily finger tips? Nothing a frequent wipe on a t-shirt won't sort out though.
Would certainly recommend if you are fed up of these screen protectors that are much too small and give you a halo round the edges.

I got one when i bought the phone and it did not fit good at the edges, but i found a youtube clip called "Removing Halo Effect from Tempered Glass (Olive Oil)" and it worked for me. its been 3 months since then and all is good.
I just installed 3 amFilm Glass Protectors with black borders. Yes, I can vouch for this protector.
Pros:
- Truly edge to edge, with a tiny gap at the edges for case-friendliness
- Does not block any part of the OLED
- Clear, practically looks like a naked screen
- Smooth (wifey said: feels so smooth!)
- Fingerprint-resistant
- Black borders means no visible edges
Cons:
- Can't really think of any. I used Vivid NG gesture app and have to turn increase "Touch Sensitivity" on display settings. No biggie.
- Installation takes longer; more elbow grease to get the bubbles out.
Installation tips:
- Allow at least 15-30 minutes for a good result
- Don't follow the myth of hot shower! That's just a waste water. Seriously.
- Have a roll of masking tape. Use it to clean the screen and sides of phone. Do this by sticking the tape vertically top to bottom starting on the left edge, then peel and move slightly to the right. Repeat until all screen and sides have been 'stripped' of dust specks.
- After placing the protector on the phone, start looking for any remaining specks. Do this by gently squeeging around. Bubbles will move and can be taken care of later. Specks will stay, so you want to spot and remove them now.
- To remove a speck (most likely it would stick to the film and not the screen), fold a length of masking tape in two, so both sides are sticky, then gently lift the closest corner and slide the masking tape underneath. Careful, do not let the masking tape rub the sticky side of the glass film such that it would leave a mark. Once on the right spot, press the film down gently and re-lift it. The speck will stick to the masking tape. Slide out the masking tape and let the film drop down.
- Repeat until all specks have been removed.
- Now squeegee the bubbles out. This takes a while on this screen protector, but you'll be happy with the result!
Ps: I don't use the provided dust stickers. Masking tape works better for me.

Got one of these on the way, hope it installs ok and works nicely with otterbox case. Mine is a work phone and they stipulate the otterbox must stay on. I hate the thing but the S10e is a nice phone.
This supposedly case friendly screen protector had so much potential....
Feel and fit is fantastic but it does NOT classify as case friendly. I cannot get air out of it with my case on. Awesome otherwise.
The case presses on the edges and distorts it, causing some lift.
I had my screen protector installed at a phone shop and the case somehow lifted the top part abit. Couldnt get the airbubble out no matter what so i tried using a hairdryer .. 15 seconds later no more airbubble.
Took mine off. Work insists the otterbox is used so if a screen protector doesn't work with it, too bad. There's no way it was going to fit under the edges of the case.
With a normal TPU type case it should be good though.
It's good enough a fit to even have a naked phone.
