Today I noticed that after cleaning display with microfiber, there's appear strange horizontal lines which disappear after minute or or two. Is it normal or I should send my mi6 to repair? Because it's really annoying.
Did you press hard?
Have to be gentle with the display
If you think its a fault send it for repairs
I guess that electrostatic has affected to the display. No matter how hard I pressed. I've also tested another phone but it was Huawei, however I didn't noticed that thing, only mi6 has this lines.

Hi,
a while ago, I cracked my Uni's LCD. So I ordered a new one including the digitizer, opened my Uni and swithched the displays. Now at times, the touch screen wouldn't work at all - unless I tap the upper left corner (the start button; in portrait mode) or the lower left corner (the left button or slightly above it; in landscape). After that, tapping everywhere works normally. Does anyone have an idea what this could be caused by or how to solve it?
Thanks in advance!
I'd make sure your contacts are very clean. If you think maybe they're not, then take out and clean contacts with dry cloth or contact cleaner and re-insert.
Also, make sure there's no debris around screen. That nothing is pressing on digitiser anywhere else that gives false postive for it.
enigma may be able to help you better, I think she's more accustomed to the HW
Generally, all touch problems are associated with a digitizer. Without actually seeing your device I assume your digitizer is faulty and the problem may be either improper adhesion or the soldering joint improperly formed. Adhesion problem may be resolved by warming the screen with a blowdryer, no need to get it hot, just slightly warm all over and smooth with a soft cloth as if you are applying a screen protector, it loosens the special sticky gel that attaches the digitizer to the LCD and usually helps in cases where sensitivity is sporadic or screen calibration returns wrong response. Check for any bubbling, although not seen when the screen is viewed directly, some may be noted at the angle.
However, in your case there are certain points that need to be pressed in order for it to work, so I take it, the screen works most of the time and the problem is intermittent, the corners that need to be pressed might be the ones where adhesion is not up to scratch.
Try re-assembly, if all fails - contact the screen supplier, faults can happen, especially in non-OEM parts.
Do keep us updated if you find the solution, I am sure all members can benefit.
Problem solved
Well over time, the situation changed so that the touch screen didn't work at all, unless I was pressing one spot above the LCD fairly hardly, at which time it worked without problems. Once I stopped presing the spot, it stopped working again.
So I tried opening the Uni and disconnecting and reconnecting the LCD FPC (which was located just under the spot that needed to be pressed), which seems to have solved the problem
Hello,
I've got a problem with the screen of my Qtek 9090 as it doesn't seem to be displaying colours properly and there are lines going across the screen and text at times.
Would someone have any idea of what the problem might be and if it's fixable?
Here are a couple of images of what I'm getting. Quality isn't great but I hope it shows the problem well enough.
that looks like a hardware defect, you can use the htc service manual linked in my signature to disassemble the device and look for problems with the display's connectors, cables and possible pressure on the display/digitizer or anything related to the display. a good way to test that would be to take away any housing and start the device, that way you can carefully bend the cable in normal angles and see, when it happens.
Hey guys...I got an incredible deal on a slight water damaged t989 in otherwise great physical shape, and I really like it. The only issue I'm having with it is when I make a call, the screen goes black (still shows the clock at the top...everything else is black), without ever putting the phone to my face. And after that I can't do anything to get it to come back on.
Is it normal for the screen to still show the clock when the phone is up to your ear? I figured it might be based on how amoled screens work (only producing light locally where it needs it), but wasn't sure.
Also, do you think this is the proximity sensor being faulty? That was my guess...it looks like the part costs $23 and is connected to the front camera. I could also try taking it apart and drying it out better (I already did that with the motherboard and it fixed all the other issues it was having, like the main camera not working)...I'm just a little less inclined to do this since I don't see any guides for disassembling that part of the phone and don't want to accidently damage something.
I guess I'm willing to try opening it up further and airing out the proximity sensor...possibly replacing it...but the important question on my mind is does this phone normally still display the time at the top when you hold it up to your ear?
anybody? It would help me just to know if this phones screen goes completely black when making a call, or if it goes black but still shows the very top with the clock and such when the phones proximity sensor is covered up (ie: held up to the ear)
I dropped my HOX while getting changed at work. The screen is not scratched and there isn't a mark on the phone.
The problem however is that now the lock ring cannot be pulled out from the lock screen :crying: It just does that bouncing thing as if i'm tapping on the screen.. ironically I can select the icons.
Tried restarting, flashing a nandroid backup - nothing The only way of getting past the lockscreen is by pulling down notification bar, pressing settings then pressing back.
I'm also noticing strange occurrences of random screen selection, I select one thing but something else ends up being selected..
Sounds like my screen is messed up real bad right?
Maybe it fell on the bottom section of the screen and damaged it so it doesn't function anymore ...but the up part us safe
Sounds like the bottom of the digitiser is broken. Unfortunately that means the LCD needs replacing too.
Hi. I had exactly the same problem. After falling from my hands to asphalt glass got a little crack at the right-bottom (the screen itself was intact). Had to change the whole screen. OEM screen price is very high, so i chose a chineese analog. The price is 2 times lower but the quality is lower two.

I guess it does
I've broken my screen, to be accurate not me but some dude, he paid for the new screen. Ofcourse, he picked the most ****ty store he could to fix it to pay less money for it, it was horrible. Light from the side of the phone was leaking, the buttons didn't light up well, the front camera lense was missing and most importantly the screen itself wasn't like before. First of all, it fell off from the phone all the time ( with just the two connectors connected ), it was horrible pale and etc.
Being the social akward I am, I was silent about it, and got used to the screen after I glued it.
Anywho, yesterday without any warning or anything screen stopped working. Sound is playing, digitizer is prolly working, screen? nah. Black screen. I opened it up few times before as the LCD connector disconnected, it was okay. Now the connector was inside still, connected and I opened it and tried to tighten it up, thought it was loose or something. Nope, still no screen.
Now I come to you, xda, with the need of help.
Where can I buy a REAL. LCD2, like stock screen?
And if its possible, how can I identify if the screen I got earlier IS lcd2 original screen? ( the seller said it was, obviously it wasn't )
Thanks! ( Really hope for fast answer )
