Try using stock kernel and/or try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-akt-profiles-magisk-t3700812
Use some battery profile, I'm using 'Project X.A.N.A Battery' profile
I have no such issue until I play have games for an hour if u want to control your cores and clock speed download the latest kernel auditor from play store and use latest AEX(Recommend)/AICP/RR ROM.for battery issue install greenify, Ds battery saver, amplify(Xposed module) uninstall bloatware i.e-facebook, google search, Always background running apps use SD maid for cleaning cache and optimize databases.
Hit like if I help u.

Hi everyone. Is the heat persist for everyone. Mine in average 65 degree centigrade and going to Max 73 degree centigrade (through cputemp in status bar xposed module). I'm using telsa rom latest build (based on CM11 R17). I have also tried many custom roms and kernels, mods, underclock but same heating problem. Is there anything I'm missing out. Is there anything really working heat problem solution .
Please help let me know any information to be provided further.
try latest carbon rom... mine doesn't go above 38 deg, 45 deg n 60 deg while idle, while using phone n while playing games resp...
Try Latest Carbon or CM11.
I didn't noticed any heating issues in the latest CM11 builds!
I believe that the price of the phone tells us we should NOT have great expectations.Still,it turned out to be an amazing phone, with a great camera, good performance,no major issues(trust me,i owned an xperia L.that phone has obvious issues and Sony does nothing to fix them.I would sue them if I could for selling that on the market). The heating problem can't be avoided.I'm using latest CM11 and I use mostly balanced profile(1401 mHz top frequncy),and when using the phone to send texts,a little browsing, calls and so on it doesn't get heated up,or it gets a little warmer if you watch youtube videos for example, but when I play games, that's a whole new story. It is obviously that the phone is very hot,way above average. And that's it,we have to deal with it.We can't do anything, that's how the phone was build, the materials they used and so on.On stock the phone has some thermal engine control,if the phone got too hot it dropped the CPU frequency. Now on CM11,there's nothing similar,so we have to be careful to not let it stay hot as hell for too long,it might burn the CPU.I will ask the rom developer about this concern.Hope I helped you.All the best !
The best solution for "Heating Problem And Faster Battery Draining":
1)Flash latest Carbon Rom RC6 4.4.4 (it has its own kernel which is very much optimized and has some more governers)
2)After flashing Carbon Rom click go to settings>about phone> click build number 5 to 6 times to activate Developer options and Performance menu.
3)In performance menu Set maximum speed to 998 Mhz and minimum to 300 Mhz, Set the Governer to "conservative" and I/O Scheduler to "cfq".(If you play games alot then set max frequency to 1190)
4)Install Xposed framework
5)Install Greenify app, now activate its module in Xposed Framwork.
6)Add all applications to greenify list and greenify them. Set the Working mode to Boost. Also check auto hibernation mode.
7)Also create a hibernate now shortcut to homescreen to greenify apps frequently when you dont use them.
Now your phone will never heat and it will increase your battery by 50%
Enjoy
cm11
try cm 11 with xcelerate kernel for better batt and heat control
I have rooted my Redmi 1s via native root method because i only want to underclock it.
I am using No Frills CPU app and its config is as follows:
Max - 1.19
Min - 384
governor - ondemand
IO scheduler - cfq
I am having worse battery drain than before rooting!! :crying:
Earlier i had one day battery life with normal usage. Now it dosent even last for half a day! I am having 20-25% battery drain in one hour...
I am running stock MIUI v45.
anybody facing the same issue? Please help me...
Upgrade to V50 or flash MiUi V6 or CM11 R22,I get around 1.5 days of battery backup on normal usage on R22
I am using carbon rom RC7 with carbon kernel v1.3 beta.i am getting awesome battery life.At night if i leave my phone with wifi on ,after waking up in morning(nearly 10 hours),yeah i sleep that much ) it consumes only 1% battery.
Note:
1)i have no sim in my phone.
2)i use greenify to hibernate all apps even some system apps too.
My kernel setting:
96-1190mhz,ondemand,sio
Ok like the title says, how is your battery life and what did u do to improve it after rooting?
1.installed nofrillscpu to set the cpu to its lowest speed supported by kernel, to save battery.
2. Install xposed.
3. Install greenify and amplify Battery Extender to increase battery life.
4. Install any xposed based autorun manager to stop apps from getting started automatically.
5. Use sdmaid to disable background services of apps.(mainly social networking apps and e-shopping related apps)

Xposed on the G4 is a no-no for now unless you want boot loops for breakfast.
On another note, my battery life is just the same as it was pre-root, lasts all day on a charge and then some.
The same since I never did anything battery related post root.
i am using CM13 build , i am not satisfied with the battery backup , also battery drains very quick while wifi ON but not in use , my battery is all right , i almost get around 4 hours of SOT on MIUI 8 .
Please anyone suggest me the best custom kernel for cm13 build with it's settings
thankyou
Looking forward for replies.
My Opinions - So far I've got great results especially battery and performance

Greenify Settings:
Working Mode:
Root + Boost (Xposed)
Shallow Hibernation:
Disabled
Aggressive Doze:

The kernel that comes with CM13 works reasonably well. A few things can cause excessive battery drain and its not just the kernel that is at fault. We don't know all the settings and installed apps of the people who have claimed long battery life for their phones after flashing this rom or that kernel, or even if their testing methods are reliable and can be compared with others. So any claims about long battery life is very suspect.
Google services has always had a big problem with power drain because of bugs. Google's location data gathering is not only bad for privacy but for draining power as well. And many free apps tend to use too many non-related permissions and they may misuse google play services which also drains power. So the easiest thing is install the bare minimum of google apps (start with google pico package) and use xprivacy to tighten up permissions. I think nothing can be can be done with rogue apps that use google play services.

What do you use your phone for if you don't install google play and gapps? Many people including some reputable posters liked Kairi's Xcelerate for increasing battery life but there isn't a version yet for MM. You could try the God's kernel which works with CM13 but it looks buggy from the looks of things.
I doubt any kernel (Xcelerate included) can instantly transform the redmi 1s and give it good battery life. 4-5 hours of SOT is reasonably good and believable. Claims of 12-16 hours otoh......

Hi,
My battery gives me around 6 hours of SoT and standby time around 16-18 hours with no gaming, using only internet browsing and social media for the most part.
From what I can see, the idle battery drain is not too bad if the phone is on doze, but the phone is not on doze most of the time during the day.
Also the active battery drain is high.
Any tips on making this better?
I'm on OOS Open Beta 8, on an Op7T with locked bootloader. The issue was same with the latest OOS stable.
Thanks!!

Run Naptime with Google Play Services dozed, run Servicely and block all apps you don't need, install Kirisakura Kernel from the OP7 Pro thread, disable sync when you don't need it, and set the max gpu freq to 585 MHz. You should be able to pull a maximum of 12hrs SOT... It obviously depends on what you're doing. I'm on OB8 as well.
Edit: I'm using Franco Kernel Manager as well, a bunch of the tweaks I suggested can easily be done through there, I highly recommend purchasing it!

Here's a link to Kirisakura Kernel, it needs a couple of magisk mods alongside it to work correctly, make sure to read the thread and install those as well.
Thank you for the advice, man but I'm not rooted..

Hey
Thank you so much for the advice.
I'm sorry I didn't mention it in the main thread that I'm not rooted. Do you have any ideas that don't require root or an unlocked bootloader?
By the way, I'll definitely try the root tweaks after my warranty expires, I had purchased FK Manager for my previous device.

Yeah, both naptime and servicely can be run without root.
Also, unlocking your bootloader doesn't void the warranty on OnePlus devices
