Hello everyone.
Just got the LG v30, beautiful phone. But I noticed, that I got the Korean Version, branded with SK Telekom - band LTE.
In Hardware information it says under Model Number: V300S
So my question is, can I flash the H930 EU firmware without any problems?
Also I read, that the Display Problems on Korean version aren't so much as it is on European models, will I get affected too?
No, you can't flash European H930 V30 firmware over South Korea V30.
The only ones able to cross flash are the two DS models. They are both the same model number, but the ones sold in Hong Kong and India have different firmware.
Users have been able to flash India firmware over Hong Kong DS firmware to get VoLTE.
__
Is there something wrong with your display?
What is it about the European firmware you want that you don't have with South Korea firmware?
If you wanted European H930, like for bootloader unlock, why didn't you buy that in the first place? Cross flashing firmware (if possible) still wouldn't change IMEI or DEVICE-ID numbers. So, you still couldn't unlock the bootloader.

Thanks for your reply.
I have alot of korean bloatware apps installed, also I am missing the radio fm transmitter, which is avialable in Germany e.g. and also the phone dialer looks a little bit weird with korean numbers under the "normal" numbers. And on Lockscreen there 2 clocks shown...
I bought it from eBay, the person who sold it to me didn't tell me , that this is a korean version of the v30 :/

You should stilll have the FM radio, even on Korean carrier branded phone. Do you have the Next Radio app installed? If not, install it, go to app settings and look for basic tuner.
On US998, the Next Radio app was installed instead of LG's FM radio app. It does the same thing, if you go to the basic tuner interface in app settings.
The FM radio framework is in ALL the V30. You just need the interface.

Hello,
came out a few days ago a new firmware, the "NEU / EUROPE OPEN V10H".
I installed it and I must say it is the best I've ever tried, On this firmware have improved the camera software, the photos are definitely better! Has anyone tried this firmware and can confirm?
Can you post Software version?
I believe that this update is 2 month old, there are other thread about this update.
When I got back my phone from LG assistance it came with 10H, but I cant confirm Software version because I'm using Epsilon ROM.

Well I can't see any difference from other firmware version its just some of the google apps were updated. Actually it was the same as 10H of hungary which I downloaded 2 months ago. I also downloaded Europe open 10H so I can confirm that it was the same. I extracted both firmware and its the same.

Yup, 10J is out in Turkey as well. No clue what's inside, though. Some folks installed it, but they don't know the changelog, and didn't notice anything. I cannot try because I am no stock.

I have installled V10J for turkey.
But I did not noticed anything new or improved.
The only differences I saw was about the google apps.
Market and hangout is updated. Also there is "Google games" (I dont remember the exact name It is chargng now ) added.
Nothing more.
Furthermore, freegee does not support V10J yet :/ I could not unlocked my bootlarder.
I have found G2 lock screen (Flashable ZIP) from a friend from vietnam. It was working perfectly at V10I, but know I cant unlock my bootloarder because of V10J So ı could not flash it agen.
Is there anything to unlock bootloader easily like freegee?

1) You have really early buggy US998 beta 28a. You do NOT have the final US998 Pie KDZ.
2) We're talking about CARRIER firmware:. T-Mobile H932, Verizon VS996, AT&T H931, Sprint LS998, etc.

LG, since US998 is the official carrier unlocked variant for North America.
AT&T H931 has to work only on AT&T. Verizon VS996 only has to work on Verizon, T-Mobile H932 only has to work on T-Mobile, etc.
But the official carrier unlocked model has to work on all North American carriers.
For Oreo, US998 KDZ was delivered last after the carrier models, because it required more testing, they said.

Turkey : After updating from kdz file, this happened to me as well.
Calendar app starts at 1968 and ends at 2016.
I downloaded Official Google Calendar app,it starts and disappear immediately.
I downloaded DigiCal app,that works problem free.
I want to install the Australian update
In LGUP I choose FOTA Upgrade or Refurbish ?
Turkey : Update has been recalled. Don't update using this kdz.
It has been reported on a Turkish forum that this update has been recalled due numerous issues including the Calendar issue. There is no time table given for fixes.
So, don't download and use this released kdz from other sources.
As for me, I will continue using it even if DigiCal can't display events I recorded until fixed kdz arrives. Too much effort to go back to 8.1 for me.
Best of luck to Turkish users. We will need every bit of it.

Hi guys, I'm from Argentina, I currently have this version of LG G7: LMG710RM (It's a version only for Argentina)
https://www.lg.com/ar/celulares/lg-LMG710RM
I've already owned and flashed LG phones, but with this one, I still don't feel safe to do it, therefore I need help.
My phone is still in the Oreo version, so as you can see the updates for my mobile version are delayed.
Looking at the LG open source page, I can see that my cell phone uses the following firmware:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(It is a software version of other cell phones, they have not released a software for this special version of Argentina)
My cell phone is unlocked. So my question is: Could I flash the Android Pie KDZ file of any of these versions (LMG710VM or LMG710AWM or LMG710VM)?
or could I flash the version of global kdz for example? (LMG710EM)
since I don't see another possible way to update my Android to the Pie version
I appreciate the answers.
Greetings
U need to wait i think, probably the hardware is different, the Radio wifi and lte are specific for ur region laws about specific frequencies that can be used for mobile stuff etc... I can give u the Open firmware of lg for g7 710RM Here , but u need to wait for the pie firmware of lg.
And u have to know too, that u can only upgrade vía bridge or OTA if ur phone region matches with the software region, example:
-g7 thinq 710RM vodafone version (idk if exist firmware for this carrier on 710rm, but is an example)
with firmware for:
-g7 thinq 710RM stock lg Argentina
--> u will not able to recieve otas or upgrade via bridge (when the flash starts in Download Mode USB, it stops coz lg software found firmware dont matches the phone region).
If ur phone firm is out the box, ur will able to recieve the otas and bridge updates.
But, u have to know too that, if ur phone is refurbished (as my phone) or used, it can come with a different firmware region that the phone and serial numbre box says, then u will cant recieve updates too. My g7 is 710EM but TIM region (A carrier of Italy) and i bought it refurbished, and the AMAZON page said that was 710EM OPEN EU.
I was frustrated coz i couldnt update mi firmware from oreo to pie via ota or bridge, BUT this tool link tells u the region of ur smartphone. U only have to paste ur imei and it will tell u the original region of ur g7. Then u can download any firmware version of ur region for 710Rm and otas+bridge updated will come without issues.
This message is for all the users that are as me weeks ago, brain dead searching in the deep web and the Whashington secret files how f** update my lg g7
Edit: I flashed the italy stock lg firmware 20e, coz i dont want bloatware from TIM in my mobile, but i have to backup all the phone every time i update the firmware, coz i have to download the full firmware kdz, ota and bridge are disabled for crossflashed regions.
I think you could to do a Cross flash firmware to Pie via LGup. I bought a Sprint LG G7 (original firmware G710PM) with a Cross flashed ULM firmware stuck on Oreo May 2018... I can't get updated so I flashed via LGUp soft lastest Pie ULM firmware. Now I have a Originally LG G710PM (Sprint Verison) with G710ULM (USA unlocked version) crossflashed firmware.
Just be sure i can cross flashed firmware
Do you have any luck flashing the divice. I have the same issue and i dont know wich firmware to use
Cross flash via command line.
Any of the listed kdz you showed.

You won't. AT&T doesn't release full image KDZ. Only partial image OTA. And even then mostly to AT&T customers with real AT&T SIM cards. Yes, there is at least one AT&T MVNO (Red Pocket) that is the exception.
For the most part you won't get any update if you stay on AT&T firmware and are not AT&T customer. Yes, Red Pocket is exception and with Pie update some people reported success with unactivated AT&T SIM card left overnight in phone.
But point is, this is why most users who are NOT AT&T customers flash over to NAO (North American Open Market) firmware, even if their AT&T V35 was "carrier unlocked" with a code.
Because NAO (and Amazon and Google Fi) have full image KDZ public firmware release you can manually flash at your convenience via Dev Patched LGUP.
NAO is the best choice, unless you are actually a Google Fi customer. Right now there doesn't seem to be any difference in the KDZ between the two, but in the future there may be. Like what happened with V30 US998 North American Open Market and U.S. Cellular.

Yeah we're just waiting for LG to release the NAO/USA kdz. They've released AT&T and Korean version. Once we get NAO then we can go nuts finally. Only thing I'm worried about is that I really like the camera interface on the V35 currently, on Android 10 I'm scared they might change it to the new one they have on the newer LG phones which looks like a copy of Samsungs (which is a copy of Apples, swiping for different modes rather than having a button to choose everything in one shot)
This is how it looks like now on 10
no news for the unlocked version still.
Hi,
I've purchased a Galaxy Active 2 LTE (unlocked, SM-R835U, Tizen 5.5.0.1) from BestBuy US and I want to use it in Canada. Bell and Telus are supporting LTE smartwatches, but I wanted the Stainless Steel Gold color which was not available in Canada. My career, Bell, has activated the plan in their network and it seems they haven't any problem with its IMEI. But when I want to add plan from my phone it says " there aren't any plans available for your watch in your country!
I talked with 3 people from Samsung customer services and stores. Some are saying it's a software problem, and some are saying the frequency is different but it's very unlikely and I didn't convince.
Any idea how can I solve this issue to get it to work? Is it possible to change the firmware to something compatible without broking Payment, BT, etc?!
Thank you for your help.

Any idea how can I solve this issue to get it to work? Is it possible to change the firmware to something compatible without broking Payment, BT, etc?!
Thank you for your help.

Thanks,
My device is an unlocked US version, I think it's unlocked for all regions. Do you think that my Carrier can do anything about it? For example may I ask them to add my IMEI to their network?
And could you please let me know where can I download the official CSC for my country and device? I just found a Korean and a XAR (US) firmware for R835. Thanks
its carrier unlocked not region unlocked , just change the CSC and it will work fine .All the LTE version for some reasons are region locked .
For changing the CSC you will find all the details here

One problem is that I have R835U not R835F, and also many of firmware links and tutorials are expired or for old version or they are for 44mm version, R825F. May I ask if you have further files or detailed instructions in that topic? Thank you
