I'm willing to believe that the American carriers got the final build already but they have to add their bloat.

1) You have really early buggy US998 beta 28a. You do NOT have the final US998 Pie KDZ.
2) We're talking about CARRIER firmware:. T-Mobile H932, Verizon VS996, AT&T H931, Sprint LS998, etc.

For gods sake, from where did you infer Turkey?
The article says only Australia and the only model number is H930DS.
Turkey received no LG V30, no V35, no V40 and no V50 ( yet - probably won't arrive too ), only V30+ arrived here. And model number of my V30+ is H930G.

LG, since US998 is the official carrier unlocked variant for North America.
AT&T H931 has to work only on AT&T. Verizon VS996 only has to work on Verizon, T-Mobile H932 only has to work on T-Mobile, etc.
But the official carrier unlocked model has to work on all North American carriers.
For Oreo, US998 KDZ was delivered last after the carrier models, because it required more testing, they said.

Turkey : After updating from kdz file, this happened to me as well.
Calendar app starts at 1968 and ends at 2016.
I downloaded Official Google Calendar app,it starts and disappear immediately.
I downloaded DigiCal app, that works problem free.
I want to install the Australian update
In LGUP I choose FOTA Upgrade or Refurbish ?
Turkey : Update has been recalled. Don't update using this kdz.
It has been reported on a Turkish forum that this update has been recalled due numerous issues including the Calendar issue. There is no time table given for fixes.
So, don't download and use this released kdz from other sources.
As for me, I will continue using it even if DigiCal can't display events I recorded until fixed kdz arrives. Too much effort to go back to 8.1 for me.
Best of luck to Turkish users. We will need every bit of it.

Confirmed 20E is for EU carriers.. possibly Orange only. Modem build is the same as 20D. Google Security Patch version is also the same: Jan 2016. I see no reason to use 20E over 20D unless you're an Orange user who can grab this directly from LG Bridge.

At a first look, v20e it has a short of lag .. That v20c dosen't
Try to click Settings > Networks and fast click on More, and quick Back button, try doing the same thing but click Display and More and you'll see the difference.
This short of lag isn't present on v20c.
The second thing is the heat, wich is more present on v20e.
The cooling is more quick on v20c.
About mmc code error it didin't happend to me never! And i flashed v20a,b,c,d, and now v20e-Orange , all euro. My phone is a H815 EU.
I think in the end i will get back with v20c until LG release 6.0.1.
Please take in consideration that this is just my opinion and experience so far.
Update: Installed and confirmed. This gets rid of the MCC error when booting on EUR devices. Now a valid ROM for EUR phones.

I agree. I made a quick decision at a boxing week sale and came from a OnePlus who support user unlocking and flashing. I'm going through update withdrawal! I like the device but had I known that the H933 variant was likely never going to be rootable, I would not have gone with it.

No it's model locked where you can't flash other models kdz it's a common misconception on the thread.
I am wondering if LG's implementation of Android 8.lx Oreo will be rootable as the Google Pixel 2 XL's version (had this phone 3 weeks then sold it)
I have been getting bugged for an update but so far, have refused (because I do wish to root).
I understood the bootloader unlock has to come from LG (with the only way to access fastboot commands being the official bootloader unlock needed to install twrp/magisk/etc.) .

Read the link. It's just in testing by LG right now. As far as I can tell by looking on Google, this user is literally the only one talking about having it (all news stories link back to his link in OP), so I wouldn't get your hopes up about him sharing it or about us getting it officially any time soon.
Hello everyone.
Just got the LG v30, beautiful phone. But I noticed, that I got the Korean Version, branded with SK Telekom - band LTE.
In Hardware information it says under Model Number: V300S
So my question is, can I flash the H930 EU firmware without any problems?
Also I read, that the Display Problems on Korean version aren't so much as it is on European models, will I get affected too?
No, you can't flash European H930 V30 firmware over South Korea V30.
The only ones able to cross flash are the two DS models. They are both the same model number, but the ones sold in Hong Kong and India have different firmware.
Users have been able to flash India firmware over Hong Kong DS firmware to get VoLTE.
__
Is there something wrong with your display?
What is it about the European firmware you want that you don't have with South Korea firmware?
If you wanted European H930, like for bootloader unlock, why didn't you buy that in the first place? Cross flashing firmware (if possible) still wouldn't change IMEI or DEVICE-ID numbers. So, you still couldn't unlock the bootloader.

I have alot of korean bloatware apps installed, also I am missing the radio fm transmitter, which is avialable in Germany e.g. and also the phone dialer looks a little bit weird with korean numbers under the "normal" numbers. And on Lockscreen there 2 clocks shown...
I bought it from eBay, the person who sold it to me didn't tell me , that this is a korean version of the v30 :/

You should stilll have the FM radio, even on Korean carrier branded phone. Do you have the Next Radio app installed? If not, install it, go to app settings and look for basic tuner.
On US998, the Next Radio app was installed instead of LG's FM radio app. It does the same thing, if you go to the basic tuner interface in app settings.
The FM radio framework is in ALL the V30. You just need the interface.

I contacted the lg customer care executive and they told me that the oreo update will reach us by the 1st or 2nd week of July 2018. They didn't mention about monthly or 2monthly security updates. Just the oreo update. I hope u guys found this useful.
Right now, India V30+ doesn't have official IND Oreo -- but it does have Oreo.
PHL Oreo has the LG Service India app preinstalled in the firmware.
With LGUP, anyone can easily flash to PHL Oreo KDZ which has India carrier VoLTE, as does Indonesia Oreo KDZ. In fact, looking at the md5 they are the SAME KDZ, just under different names. India Oreo KDZ (whenever it's released) may well also be that same file. If not, right now you already have India carrier VoLTE with either already-released PHL or IDN. Whenever India Oreo is released you can flash back to that, but for now you will already have Oreo with AI camera and the same India carrier VoLTE that India Nougat has.
Dev patched LGUP is attached to the first post in the Philippines OREO KDZ thread... With easy step by step instructions.
[H930DS][STOCK][OREO]LG V30+ PHL H930DS H930DS20b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0530.kdz
This step above has NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to do with rooting. It's only upgrading to latest stock OREO firmware that is AVAILABLE right now which has INDIA VoLTE, like Jio. It's the exact same process you would use to install official India Oreo KDZ whenever it becomes available. Not the inferior OTA updates, but the full image KDZ.

Great news guys !!
After trying many Oreo firmwares from different regions on my Indian H930DS, I finally found that the newly available PHL Asia PH/Philippines firmware is the perfect one for us.
Jio Volte works !!
It also has 1st Jun 2018 security update ( Firmwares like 20r available from 16th Jun for European region are still on 1st May 2018 security update).
Software version says V20b-IND-XX and there is also a LG Service India app preinstalled in this firmware (very surprising to find this on Philippines firmware). Maybe same development team making firmware for India and Philippines, not sure.
Happy flashing after a long wait, especially for VoLTE!!

KDZ will soon be released. Do NOT be like earlier users when Pie was released and try to flash Korean variant firmware. Don't be impatient.

You won't. AT&T doesn't release full image KDZ. Only partial image OTA. And even then mostly to AT&T customers with real AT&T SIM cards. Yes, there is at least one AT&T MVNO (Red Pocket) that is the exception.
For the most part you won't get any update if you stay on AT&T firmware and are not AT&T customer. Yes, Red Pocket is exception and with Pie update some people reported success with unactivated AT&T SIM card left overnight in phone.
But point is, this is why most users who are NOT AT&T customers flash over to NAO (North American Open Market) firmware, even if their AT&T V35 was "carrier unlocked" with a code.
Because NAO (and Amazon and Google Fi) have full image KDZ public firmware release you can manually flash at your convenience via Dev Patched LGUP.
NAO is the best choice, unless you are actually a Google Fi customer. Right now there doesn't seem to be any difference in the KDZ between the two, but in the future there may be. Like what happened with V30 US998 North American Open Market and U.S. Cellular.
Is it still using UX 7.0?

Thanks, I asked because I believe for some strange reason, LG kept the V35 on UX 7 for PIE. Where in settings do you find the version?

NAO are you right?
I am currently in firmwaves 8.0, can I upgrade to 9.0 and wait for the android 10 version?
Has anyone had any other issues when using a 3rd party launcher on UX9 using the gesture controls? I'm using Lawnchair 2 and I can't seem to swipe up to open the app history on the homescreen and would instead open the app drawer.
No kdz yet?
Edit: nevermind I checked the lg-firmwares site and still not there yet...maybe soon though.
Why in the world is lg-firmwares download rate/s so slow/low? I have been downloading to kdz files for 3 hours....

Could very well be their seeding server. I don't remember how long it took me to download last time, but probably wasn't that long on my internet.

I don't know. DL rate was 100kb the whole time. I have around 800-900mbit capping out usually. I'm assuming high volume maybe that day
I read on Androidpolice that the AT&T version has already received Android 10. Unlocked USA LG V35 version here, it is not yet updated.

Yeah we're just waiting for LG to release the NAO/USA kdz. They've released AT&T and Korean version. Once we get NAO then we can go nuts finally. Only thing I'm worried about is that I really like the camera interface on the V35 currently, on Android 10 I'm scared they might change it to the new one they have on the newer LG phones which looks like a copy of Samsungs (which is a copy of Apples, swiping for different modes rather than having a button to choose everything in one shot)
This is how it looks like now on 10
no news for the unlocked version still.
