Hi everyone. Is there any solution for making facebook app lagless? I remember there was an app called Seeder for reducing lags i tryd it with no luck.
Yeah don't use the app but the mobile website. Facebook has always been crap.....

whenever I click a youtube link, whether its from facebook, or twitter, or anywhere else the link opens up the mobile web page instead of the native android app. this is strange to me. on both my two previous phones the mytouch 3g slide and samsung vibrant, a youtube link would immediately open up the app. This is not the case on our droid incredible 2's.
could this be a t-mobile vs Verizon thing? i don't see what benefit verizon could gain from preventing us from launching the app from a link though.
Thanks in advance for your help
Go to settings, applications, internet (if you're on sense Rom, browser if aosp) and clear defaults. Next time you try to open a you tube video it will ask you what you wanna open it with
Edit: it doesn't work. I checked permissions for you tube and they're the same as the browser' s. I re installed the app and still doesn't come up as an option.
"the relentless pursuit of the perfect ROM "
I've seen this behavior even on my CM7 Inc2. I have to scroll down to the bottom of the mobile page and hit "Desktop" which launches the YouTube app. Silly, if you ask me.
?
No matter what my YouTube app opens when I click a link.

I wish i knew what the problem was on my end then.
A little bit of insight....
I clicked a YouTube link from Google, the YouTube app played the video. I shared the link from the app to Facebook. I then clicked my own link in the Facebook app and the YouTube page came up, not the app.
So, Facebook, why aren't you opening YouTube links with our native app?

Maybe Facebook's use of https routing affects the phone's reaction to links and default openings. I doubt YouTube supports secure browsing like that, so the native app won't trigger when redirected out of a secured server.
Just speculation.
Hi Guys!!
I came across this app while browsing play store. I thought it'll be agood idea to share it with u guys .
This app is very useful to monitor data used by apps and also it can restrict many apps to WIFI.
Here's the link: Onavo Count
Forgot to mention, you do not need a rooted device to use this app.

As today Facebook app got a new update but I still feel that it's not quite good enough because of very slow speed, old UX& ... (as the app always was)
I'd like to know which app you use for Facebook recently.
I've tried Scope beta for few weeks, love the idea but still buggy and slow.
Thanks for sharing guys!

Same.. I haven't had an issue with it for ages.. It does what it's supposed to do.
I just go to facebook.com, looks just like PC version that way.
Facebook app is fine its smooth and fast no lag for me whatsoever
It takes 10-20 seconds of a black screen before it loads, but after that it works fine.
The problem i have is with its widget, i sometimes get a blank widget or it doesnt update.
Anyone with those issues??
I use flipboard for facebook, I really like the magazine format.
What's up with the Facebook website and Android? The input fields don't allow your dictionary to work and gets all screwy trying to type and backspace. It does this on any browser I've tried.
I just use Android Pro Widgets to use the Facebook and Twitter widgets for feeds, and click through to Facebook occasionally for notifications and IMs. I don't need instant notification about anything related to Facebook.

No issues here with the Facebook app. Loads in less than 2 seconds. Now on my phones it is a different story. They haven't ran it right in a year or so.
No problems here, more speed is needed with all apps to support Nexus 7 Quadcore CPU

There is a reason Facebook is working on a native app for Android and already did for iOS. Our current app is an HTML5 based slow piece of trash..,

I deleted facebook app ,using default cm10 browser is much faster..on a 20mbt internet i wait for 4-5 seconds and more for a 50kb picture to show, that app after 1000 updates is still bad joke.I left app only on my phone because of push notificafions but i dont use it.

Friend caster is pretty nice. Dual panel layout and everything. One problem with the official Facebook app is that it took so long for it to start up like 20 seconds for a black screen then another ten on the splash screen. Completely ridiculous. I heard they forced their employees to use android phones instead of I phones just to make them feel the crap they made for android.

Hi everybody!
I have my note 2 over a month (really nice device), and now just joined this community
From the beginning I am facing this annoying issue. Wifi internet seems super slow on every apps I am using (FB, youtube, gmail, etc.) Sometimes even shows "connection timeout" error. BUT not on chrome or firefox browsers, they're working just fine. I've checked wifi speeds (home and office) with speedcheck.net app: 15-50mbps, that's not bad.
So, where could be a problem? Tried to uninstall some apps, use wifi fixers app, but none of this seems to work. And of course, searched all over the web for a solution.
Device not rooted, v.4.1.1.
Thanks in advance!

Hi I'm just wondering if there's a way to hide the "app has stopped" dialogs as they get in the way when I'm playing more demanding games, sometimes the games even crash.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers!

dont think u can do that
Demanding games will crash becoz the One V is not capable of playing games with ultra graphics
No, it plays the games no problem if I freeze the app that's crashing... But when i allow the app to function again, the errors persist and the game crashes.
The reason its annoying is because its the "wallpaper" app needs to run all the time so it keeps crashing and starting and crashing and starting. So the games don't crash they're just unplayable because I'm constantly getting this error dialog

which game and what wallpaper app?
Any of the more demanding games ie shadowgun gangstar gta 3 etc. And the wallpaper app in my case is the stock app that handles my lockscreen.
