Just as the title says.. is it possible? Will it work with the network carriers over here?
IDC about taxes and stuff I just want to know about compatibility with the network carriers.
Sorry for my English
where in Asia?
each carrier usually uses different frequencies as allowed by local laws.
in the spec page of the OnePlus3 you can see the frequencies supported by the US version.
if you specify where you are from we can help localize the carrier support for your region.
Helpful service
Google search willmyphonework
Edit: Since Im a new member I cannot post the direct link
I used this site to make sure my op3 was compatible with the carriers in my country. Just select your phone and model (I believe A3000 is the american model) and the country and it will give you a list of compatible carriers and the bands each carrier uses.
Mostly 4G won't work. Band 3 (1800MHz) is common in Asia. Try Aliexpress. They have A3000 model for the same price (Free shipping), which has Band 3 network. I'm in Sri Lanka. I was about to buy OP3 phone from USA but skipped it because I found out the network incompatibility.

I'm from Israel.
I just checked on willmyphonework and you guys were right, it's compatible only with 2G and 3G bands, and about 0% compatibility with 4G bands.
Ofc it's a deal breaker for me so I won't buy it in my trip to the US soon.
Do you know if maybe I can find the EU model for sale in the US?
If not, do you have any recommendations on where to buy it? Here in Israel it's about 1000 INS (about 250$) MORE than the US price...

I bought mine directly from the manufacturer. There was no option at the time to select the model but they seemed to select the model for me anyway based on the ship to address, so I got the European model. I would check the different models available on that site and find the one that works in Israel
Aliexpress is a good site. Just check seller's and shop's rating. There are plenty of OP3 for sale in Aliexpress for the original price. A3000 model would support your 4G connection. (Better check yourself )
Hey all. I'm looking to pick up a A50 but I'm having difficulty finding information on it's compatibility with T-Mobile. Does anyone here have the 64GB or 128GB variants of the North American A50 and can confirm full compatibility with T-Mobile's LTE network? Also does Wi-Fi calling work?
I'm currently looking at the 64GB model sold by Best Buy and Amazon (model# SM-A505UZKNXAA). I'd like to get the 128GB international model (model# SM-A505UZKNXAA) but I don't think it works on T-Mobile.

Check what bands you need in the phone, and I think it will works. But you can google everything about this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.re...ne_bought_the_us_unlocked_galaxy_a50_from_bh/

VoLTE and VoWiFi are depends on your carrier too. The phone support these, but that's not means T-mobile too.
I have VoLTE for sure.

T-Mobile supports VoLTE and VoWiFi on compatible phones like my Nokia 7.1. Sadly you can only confirm a phone is compatible by entering an IMEI and I don't want to buy this phone just to have to return if it's not supported.
As you can see my version of the phone is FN, but I have VoLTE (Right upper corner).
But are you ok T-Mobile's US network? If not, you can't answer my question.
I thought all Snapdragon processor used devices where u.s. version devices.and that all exynos processor devices where international devices.I want to buy a international device Samsung galaxy s20 plus that I can root and flash different roms and mods on too. Which International Version device would you buy if you wanted to place Round 2 mods onto is there any particular one or just any International device. Because all u.s. versions of the s20 plus cannot be rooted and romed correct. Thanks In advance!!!

The International Snapdragon variants have a better SoC however being in Denmark you won't get some Carrier Features the Exynos variants offer, that's the trade off.

I have the Hong Kong variant on T-mobile. Advantages - Snapdragon SoC, no carrier bloatware, close to pure android, dual sims, unlocked bootloader, price ($745 on eBay). Disadvantages - Warranty repair would be difficult, no 5G yet or carrier aggregation. Highly recommend, my S8, S9 and S10, all Hong Kong variants, never had any problems whatsoever.

I was referring to the Hong Kong variant, diffierent than your device. I've read some users of the HK device are able to get 5G from US Carriers using SIM 2.

You should post a guide on how to unlock the bootloader on the US model. To my knowledge no one has been able to achieve this.

So you don't feel the data transfer rate without carrier aggregation shows enough difference to matter?

Not to me, I typically download large files on my laptop via WiFi then transfer them to my device. I'm a frequent flyer so I watch movies (torrents) which are typically 2GB. Not sure how long that would take to download on my device via T-mobile but it's not significantly faster than WiFi. When mmWave is widely avaliable Carrier Aggregation will be more valuable but right now High-band 5G is comparable to WiFi file transfer speeds. That's a small inconvenience compared to the benefits the device offers.
@varcor did you change the CSC to see if CA works ?
I'm assuming you're on TGY. I'm also in the USA and think changing to BRI might increase ca bands.

No, my CSC is TGY. I live in Mexico but use T-mobile since they offer free calls and data in collaboration with Mexico's largest telcom Telcel. Even when I'm in the US I don't have CA. I haven't gone to T-mobile to ask if they can configure CA but I doubt they can on the SM-G9860 or SM-G9880 regardless of the CSC. I use a laptop with Wifi for large downloads so it's not a priority. I do get Wifi Calling and VoLTE even in Mexico, YMMV depending on your service provider. Also I've read BRI has some issues so I'm not inclined to make the switch. This thread may give you further insight.

That link is google amped , perhaps you can edit it to make it viewable, thanks.
I was just curious to know if someone had changed their CSC to BRI and if it enabled CA.
I believe the first thing to be gathered is what bands are CA enable on the BRI CSC before even proceeding with anything else.
Also before flashing to attain CA I think one needs to compare tgy and bri CA combos.
Edit. Read that already, mainly non americans discussing attaining 5G on their respective countries.
i unlocked my bootloader yesterday and cannot for the life of me flash anything to my phone. im trying to get lineage on it and no atter what i try to do i recieve an error only official samsung binaries are alloweed to be flashed (recovery) if anyone knows what im doing wrong please assist .

Hi, I have a question about telus 5G, anyone can connect telus 5G network? I don't even have 5G switch in setting.
thank you!
I have a OP9 and same issue. Data is also very slow but that could be a separate issue.
If it's available/provisioned to your SIM, I'd assume that setting your Preferred Network Type to the variant that includes 5G should allow it to be received.
I support some clients on Telus, but I'm not well versed in how they're rolling out 5G and/or what bands they're using, etc.

I called telus, it was banned by their side, won't be supported, but they also told me that for now in canada, all 5G providers are not providing 'real' 5G, just use 4G is still fast.

That's unfortunate. I swear I remember my OnePlus 8 Pro being 5G compatible though. I never saw it in the status bar but it was an option inside settings. Strange that the 9 is not seeing 5G anywhere.
Maybe someone will come out with some kind of mod or tool to force 5G.
Hola
Sad situation this is. Stranger still is that I had a Xiaomi Mi 10 last year and I was able to get 5G in certain locations. And at one point Telus was the least restrictive when it came to VoLTE and WiFi Calling enablement on non-Telus branded phones.
5G is not enabled in Telus 5G-network. Here is listed 5G supported devices: https://mt.ax/0x390
To enable 5G, you can follow my blog guide: https://mt.ax/uLgc2 .

Are you able to get VoLTE or VoWifi ?
I live in Dubai and I know for a fact that the UK uses the same bands that we use here so I wouldn't have connectivity issues with LTE/5G.
Now, the Pixel 6 Pro is out of stock at the Google Store UK; so my question is if I buy from let's say Google Store Australia or US, are the supported bands the same or do they use different bands for different Pixel phones depending on the region its sold in?
No. Only the US, Japan, and Australia models support mmwave.
All models should support the same 4G and sub6 5G bands though.

right, so a US Pixel 6 Pro would have connectivity issues in Dubai/UK or would it still work and get 5G signal?
No issues. Provided your carrier doesn't whitelist for 5G or use an unusual band, it should work fine.
