I thought this issue had been fixed with the 3.29 OTA but yesterday this just happened to me again. I was using Google Navigation and while I was driving I got a call. While talking for a minute or two then my phone rebooted. Are there others still having this issue? Should I try to go get another phone?
Every since updating to Marshmallow my notification sounds randomly stop working. Ringtone, UI, and all other sounds work. Often a restart will fix it for awhile(2-3 days). I didn't have this issue running Lollipop. Anyone else experience this and find a fix? Verizon says they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix(hopefully in 6.0.1). I have already FDR'd the phone twice now as well. Thanks for your consideration.
Does anybody has problem with proximity sensor in Android Pie?
For me it stops work after half day and only reboot helps. In Oreo I haven't this problem
I've gotten this problem during calls
Update: proximity sensor stop work in phone app. With other apps its works without problem.
Interesting. Has worked for me but I've only made a handful of calls since going to Pie.

new update: looks like I found why proximity stops work. I use Cube Call Recorder and this app after a couple calls "kills" proximity sensor in dialer app. I removed Cube and now everything ok.
I'm having this problem too, but I don't have any sort of call recording app. Randomly it just refuses to put the screen to sleep when I'm on a call. Really frustrating.
Same issue here, since few days I have notice that the proximity sensor during phone calls will not turn off the screen, only reboot restores sensor functionality that's annoying, also I have this pixel 2xl for 2weeks this is an irritating issue. Hope help comes soon.
P.S
No new software has been installed on this phone that I have not used on my previous phones essential ph1 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
Cheers.
Couldn't find this thread earlier.
I'm also facing the same issue now. Android Pie.
Anyone found a Solution?
#5 was my problem
Anyone else having issues of randomly not being able to make calls? It happens almost daily where it either hangs up instantly or says no network.
Had no issues with DPs.
Pixel 2 XL Android P "Stable"
Hi,
If I'm playing a song or in a call and turn the screen off, the sound starts to stutter/lag immediately and starts to work find as soon as the screen is turned on. This happens with any app that is playing music/sound.
I have NOT updated my phone recently and I'm in the latest software update (Android 10).
This issue started suddenly and I'm not sure if it's something from the settings or what.
Disabling the "Optimise Battery Usage" for apps such as YouTube Music, Spotify, Messenger and WhatsApp did NOT solve the issue and the sound stuttering still occur when using these apps while the screen is off.
Restarting the phone did not resolve the issue.
This issue occurs while the phone is charging as well.
Any suggestion of how to resolve this issue? Anything apart from Factory Reset.
Also, my device is NOT rooted.
Thanks in advance!
