xperia s totally dead after leaving it to charge overnight with battery charge limit - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I woke up not able to boot up my xperia s. Tried to reset it with power and volume up and it doesn't work and tried other button combinations without luck. I put it on a charger without response no any led lights and on PC with the same results as the charger. I tried to pull out and in the battery but it doesn't work. Please help me :crying: I've been using this device for 6 years :crying:

Desire HD wont turn on?

Hey guys,
Was just looking through the market and saw an animations app, so i downloaded it, installed as normal, accepted the superuser request and chose what animation i wanted, (I chose blur if it makes any difference). It then requested a reboot, so i rebooted, but now nothing happens to my phone, It is just like the phone is powered off, nothing comes up on the screen. Ive tried booting normally and booting into recovery but nothing
Any ideas?
I'm using Leedroid ROM and Kernel, both on the latest versions.
Thanks in advance.
What happend if you plug in the power cable? Isn't booting into recovery?

Take the battery out again, put it back and then hold volume down & power button. You can also connect the charger to be sure that this is not caused by low battery level. If it still stays off, you should send it to HTC.

Yep still nothing happens, send it to HTC even though it is rooted?
You have no other choice. Software mods do not void warranty, so it should be ok.

Hi
I have the same problem. When I put the Battery and plug in the chagher the red led start to flash.
After 1 minute stops.
If someone can help us we will be very happy!!!!!!

Got the same problem after starting to format my sdcard with cwm. Just nothing happens anymore, but when i connect my dhd to my computer its indicated as device "qhsusb_dload", but i cant access it with adb or anything. Tried to foce install htc-drivers, but didnt help. Gonna take it to a local o2 store and check if there can be anything done bout it.
when i drained my battery fully to the point that it turns itself off, when i plugged it in it sort of looped into boot, but after i remove the charger and plugged it again, the red light turned on and i just left if for ten minutes, then pressed the power button then i turned on as normal.
i'm thinking it might be because the battery is just too drained at one point.

Guys
I had the same problem.
I charged aways the phone by the USB on my PC.
But this is a problem.
Try to charge for an Hour or two your usb original charger your phone.
My problem was that the battery was so empty that the PC USB coudn't had the power to charge it. The Original Charger CAN.
So dont wait more and put it and Charge.
Tell me if this was the resolution.
Bye bye

Arc won't boot

Hello guys,
I hope you can help. I'm having issues with my Arc running cyanogenmod 7 (.2 I think). I've been using cm on the device for over a year and one morning it would not turn on. I thought it's out of battery so I charged it. Later I tried to turn it on but it still wouldn't start. I further noticed that when plugged in to charge the LED was not illuminated. I tried a different battery from another arc device, but didn't change anything. (Mine worked on the other device.)
A week later or so, I tried to charge it again and suddenly the LED lit up and I was able to turn it on. Unfortunately, this was only temporarily. I checked the phone later and it was off again.
So I thought, I try to send it back to Amazon where I bought it, and maybe they don't get that I modified the software. But they did...
Any thoughts on what I could do?
Cheers,
Diophantus
Can you get the phone into flash mode or fast boot mode or have it detected by any computer?
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium
I tried flasboot (0.9 linux) and it did not work. I'll try to get a windows machine and test fast boot
Fastboot doesn't work either. Nothing pops up when connecting the device while holding the fastboot key.
Any other suggestions?
So the LED won't turn blue if you hold the menubutton and connect the USB?
And no green LED on flashmode?
Did you do something special with the phone before it happened?

Nope, it just happened over night. Didn't flash or anything. I had been using the Wifi a lot more than usual, but nothing else.
It is strange, that it turned on that one time.
Can they ask Sony if I unlocked the bootloader or how could they know this?

Did you try pressing the reset button? (Yellow one located beside the microSD card slot)

how long did you leave it to charge ??since i see red notification it seems you battery is low
if you did leave it for over night .. i read somewhere try pressing volume up + power until it vibrates then leave it on wall charger for couple of hours.
if these things doesnt work we will take it a step further

Can you connect to flashmode you can flash ftf to check if its a software problem. But i highly suspect that its a battery problem. i would suggest you to keep for charging for few minutes and then do flash using flashtool

So i left it on charge whole night and then i hold vol up + power and plug the phone into wall charger and it turned on and battery showed 98 % charged but as soon as i removed the wall charger it turned off and then i tried to turn it on it wouldnt turn on unless i plug into the wall so it is definitely the battery?

I think it's about hardware issue.
Send it to service center, I think they won't find out if your bootloader is unlocked, because yours won't turn on

[Q] Phone does not turn-on upon "Restart"

Good Day,
Phone:
Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (ASUS_Z00AD) - 1.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage. (Not Rooted)
Kernel Version: 3.10.20-x86_64_moor_265182-gb0fff5c
Build Number: LRX21V.WW-ASUS-Z00A-2.13.40.13_20150401_8390_user
Problem:
My brother couldn't update an application in Google Play Store. He tried to restart the phone through Hold Power Button -> Restart but the phone does not turn-on anymore
Methods Tried:
1. Hold the power button around ten seconds. The phone slightly vibrates but still does not turn on.
2. Hold the Volume Up + power button for ten seconds. The phone slightly vibrates but still does not turn on.
3. Charge the phone using provided Asus charger and try to turn the phone on. Still, the phone slightly vibrates but still does not turn on.
4. Tried charging the phone for around 30mins and the phone gets warm. Tried turning the phone on but still, same results.
Please help advise for solutions or possible fixes. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ed

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, the bundled AC power adapter and micro-USB cable is used for charging. The AC power adapter output is 5.2V and 1.35A. Also tried to charge the phone for a few hours but still, the same problem is encountered.
Does the LED indicator light up when charging? Have you tried charging while being connected to a PC? (this will take longer to charge)
Sincerely,
ASUS_USA

Sorry for the late reply, sir. Many thanks for the prompt responses. As advised by my brother, he tried charging it again using the AC charger for more than two hours and turned the phone on. Good news that the phone booted properly.
It seems that the problem is really about a drained battery. This issue can now be closed.
Thank you very much.

Hi Sir, yur reply is very much necessary as i am stuck with the dead symbol even after battery getting drained and recharged as well.
Hi Sir santhosh_kv,
My brother's phone couldn't be switched on before and we just sent the phone to the service center. After a month or two, they replaced the unit with a new one. I think my brother got a lemon unit before.
Thank you.

Maybe there's something wrong with the system. Try flash stock rom using adb sideload. While in that dead android symbol, press power+vol up to go to recovery.

Hi Sir, I have tried the procedure u said. But nothing seems to be working. Please help me with this. I have installed the ABD divers and updated it. But its not working after re-switching on.
After using the phone until the battery was completely drained, I tried to charge it. Initially the indicator showed orange (suggesting it was charging), but after attempting to turn the phone on, it vibrated once or twice and the indicator stopped glowing. The phone has since failed to turn on at all, and connecting the charger no longer shows any sign of charging (ie. no orange indicator or on-screen battery icon).
Has anyone eno****ered this issue, or know of a way to fix it? Let me know if I can provide any more information, and thanks

add little more clarity. when you connect to pc does it shows anything in device manager? does it vibrate..
open back cover disconnect battery connector for a while a connect again. you can also try to put it on charge for a while.
