I have a problem with WiFi (settings: always on) - it works, but after long inactivity, or disconnect (leaving the place) it doesn't reconnect automaticaly.
I always have to go to settings, and tap saved network (phone sees it as available)
Do you have such problem?
Any solutions?
same issue for me

Hello,
i have readed a much and i dont find another one who have this anoying error:
Every time i go into sleep by pressing the power button all my data connection is lost ...... only wlan is working, for example when i take a call and the phone comes to my ear and the screen turns off because of the proximity sensor the connection lost and the call end -.-
How to solve this problem?
Im am waiting for a RUU with Hboot 0.80 from 02 Germany to send it back to o2, because my phone is bricked -.- the only things that are not working is this error and the usb connectivity........
I flashed the testimage of the Modaco Root process so i dont have superuser.apk but root acess .... EVERY app has root acess now... this is ****ing fail...!!
Hope u understand me and help me.
Did you install Juicedefender or something?
No only a few apps because i have no apps2sd.... i testet it without apps, too.
Same problem here.
When the display turns off , soon after WLAN is disabled. Happens with Sipdroid, last.fm musicplayer and FritzFon App. This is inconvenient since i cant make calls over VoIP because when the proximity sensor turns the screen off the wlan connection is lost and the call ends.
Have you checked the WiFi sleep policy?
When you are in the WiFI settings menu, press the Menu button again and then select "Advanced". You can then change the WiFi sleep policy to "Never".
Regards,
Dave
Yes it was at never and i switsched to both other aviable things and nothing changed ....-.-
No answer´s? =(
I've the same problem. If I'm downloading an app from market and then I switch off the display the download remains freezed.
The advanced wifi option is set to "never"
No my wifi connection dont lost all the others !?
Hi,
This might be a dumb question.
On normal situation with Android phone:
When I turn on my device from sleep, I could not see the 3G icon ... Only the signal strength. Then after couple of seconds, the 3G icon came up.
My phone works like this since I have it.
My question, does this mean the 3G data is also sleep when the phone sleep? Because when I wake it up, the 3G icon does not immediately come back.
Thanks.
Yes, it does disconnect after a period of inactivity (if you look at the android logs) when the phone is in sleep mode. There is a setting which you may not have enabled. it goes on the lines of 'Enable always on mobile data' under wireless and network options.
However if the phone needs to connect to the net, then i think it will re-connect in that time period. This is what you see when the 3G icon appears after a few seconds on wake up. I have always seen the phone to do this.
Allright,
I was thinking if this kind of app is really necessary:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7547017
But, I guess, it is useful because during the sleep mode, some app might require internet access (email sync for example).
Maybe....The only reason i say this is that the OS will start a new network connection in the background even when the phone is sleeping...thats how your emails are sync'd and so is everything else...
Details:
Galaxy Nexus running CM 10 latest nightlies
Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep, set to: Only when plugged in
Symptoms:
Every night, I leave my phone plugged in. Every morning, Wi-Fi isn't working. I have to reboot to get Wi-Fi back, until the next morning the same problem happens.
Wi-Fi icon is gone in notification bar.
Power widget Wi-Fi icon is white (ON).
Settings > Wi-Fi shows it as ON.
Settings > Wi-Fi is stuck on Searching for Wi-Fi networks...
I cannot 'disable' Wi-Fi via settings nor the power widget; it just returns to the 'on' position/icon.
Failed attempts to fix:
Factory reset
Toggle Airplane mode
Wi-Fi settings > Scan
Hit WPS button (get a failed msg immediately)
Some 'wifi fixer' app from Play store..
Toggle mobile data
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated! This has been driving me mad for a long time, and I have seen other people report this problem with no solution in sight.
Post dmesg.
Hi,
I have been using the phone for a bout a month or so, I quite like it apart from few issues.
When I go to sleep (me, not phone) I usually just turn off the wifi so I won't get any online notifications and still get phone calls and text messages. So when I turn the wifi from the slide down menu sometimes the wifi icon flips half way and the phone freezes, I have to hold the power button to switch it off and start again. It happens almost every night, sometimes before I switch off the wifi I clean the apps running in the background and it feels like it improves the situation because I couldn't get it to freeze if I do that. If feels like the the issue is only after the day of usage of the phone, if I switch on/off the wifi after the restart it doesn't freeze. Anyone else has the same issue?
Have you tried wiping the cache partition? For hardware reset/wipe cache partition instructions please see the following: http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011956/

Hi there,
after update to MM i'm having following issue. My watch doesn't automatically connect to wifi network when i'm going out of the BT range. It will only connect when i wake up the screen and swipe down the top menu or slide left to the app drawer. It looks like you have to first wake up the watch to trigger the action.
Anyone having the same? It's quite annoying as it happens all the time in my home when i'm going between the floors without my phone with me. Of course, i have wifi adapters on both floors. so it's not a matter of wifi signal strength. As i said, when i "trigger" the reconnection, it will connect to wifi without problems.
Thanks in advance.
Having the same problem. Have had the watch 2 days. Anyone have a solution?
Sent from my SM-N910G using XDA-Developers mobile app
Nobody? I have also restored to defaults and configured once more but the issue still occurs. It starts to be very annoying.
a theory: it's in power save mode. Let it go below 15% battery, find the card about battery saver, turn it off. I think I've seen that power save mode stays on even after charging, and can only be turned off with the card.
Also check your settings under wifi/advanced
Thanks. I also tried to remove some saved wireless networks from the watch and it also helped a bit.
