Hi every one,
My issue is that my Galaxy Note 5 sm-N920A is frozen whatever i do. It remains on the first Samsung logo when powering it.
The story:
I've bought it on a webstore. I didn't know at that time, that some series where region locked ! All worked but the phone calls, and datas. (My SIM is ok in another phone ). I live in France and use a french sim card.
I asked to Samsung a code but it takes long, long time. So i wanted to install "regionlockaway" app and "networksignal guru" app. But it need a rooted phone... And there, issues are starting....
I 've rooted a few phones before, with adb, i know things of that kind (adb, fastboot, change the recovery etc. ). But nothing worked here with this one and I understood that it's the most locked phone in the word !!!
And then i made a wrong manipulation, now my phone is frozen on the logo.
There again, nothing works.
Rootig is not my point anymore, i just want to resell it, and get another model. So, i 'd like your help to unfreeze it.
-I can still go in the recovery mode, but factory reset, nor wipe cache nor wipe data works. Still frozen when reboot.
- Odin (3.12) detect the phone but sticks on "setup connection", frozen again. The odin screen on the phone says: "secure check fail: (PIT)".
Please, is there another way ???
Thanks for help
(hope my english is good enough)
Episode 2
Tonight i 've tried with Odin the files :
N920AUCS4CPK1.
First of all, whatever the versions of the files or the sources (tried a lot), when i extract the zip, i have an error message on the AP file. So Odin always tells: md5 error binary is invalid. It was the same again with those files. So I do without...
But this time the installation went a little further, I had hope; until the message appears on the phone : E:Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip.
Is it related with the file : CSC_ATT_N920AATT4CPK1_CL8961126_QB11506985_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 ?
Do you know what I can do more ?
Thanks

HOW IT STARTED
Yesterday I noticed that my phone was off. I connected the charger and found that it was still half full. I turned the phone on and it worked normally. After an hour I noticed that my phone was off again. I tried turning it on but it only reached the SAMSUNG animation and animated it indefinitely.
A month ago or so I received a notification in the notification bar about refreshment of security policies. Since my phone was rooted, I did not want to apply them because I was afraid that it would kick Knox back in. Then a couple of weeks ago I received a new notification about a new software update from Samsung. At first, I did not want to install that one either. But a couple of days ago I thought what the heck, let's try it and agreed to install it. I left it to install in the background and forgot about it.
WHAT I DID
First I rebooted into recovery (TWRP) and did all wipes. While doing them, TWRP complained that some of them could not me completed. I rebooted and saw that this wiping did not have any effect on the issue.
Then I rebooted back into recovery and did wiping again. This time I noticed that when I ordered a reboot from TWRP, it confirmed me if I was sure because there was no OS installed. I found that weird but had no choice but to reboot and naturally nothing had changed: it still animated SAMSUNG indefinitely.
What else is particular is that the samsung theme melody is cut of in the middle of the animation. When I hear it being cut of I already know: that boot attempt will never end.
Then I downloaded and flashed the latest stock firmware from Sammobile with ODIN. All was well in ODIN but when the phone rebooted, I once again had the opportunity to watch the word SAMSUNG indefinitely.
Then I tried downloading and installing the latest Kies 2 into fresh Windows 8.1 virtual machine and tried the Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation option. It asked for model and serial number and then downloaded something but then said that "This device's version cannot be updated". I then tried Kies 3 but that said that I had the wrong Kies.
WHERE I AM NOW
I tried flashing downloaded n7100_odin_efs.tar with ODIN, knowing that it would erase/overwrite my /efs partition which contains nv_data file with my IMEI code but since /efs could not be mounted anyway, there was nothing to lose. After flashing this file I successfully booted into fresh TouchWiz and saw the information in the attached screenshot.
I checked the IMEI by dialing *#06# and it was "004999010640000 / 01". I don't have a backup of nv_data and I have broken the warranty by flashing custom roms on it. How would I get my nv_data file regenerated with the correct IMEI (without purchasing special hardware or paying some guy with such a box)?
I tried a program called WRITEIMEI which should allow me to write back the correct IMEI but when I tried to read or write with this program, it only displayed "Verifying" indefinitely.
Current problems:
- Unable to fix IMEI from generic to back to what it's supposed to be (to get mobile network access back)
- Unable to get rid of this technical information banner (see the attached screenshot)
- Wifi is always off after reboot

To be honest, if I were you I'll just flash a .pit file to erase everything off the phone (and to erase any errors). After doing so, flash a stock ROM (before 4.3) or a custom ROM, preferably a AOSP ROM. This (might) solve your IMEI issue. (It did for me anyways) (The information banner looks like something from factory mode or something like that, not exactly sure.)
N7105 rocking AOSB with AGNi kernel,
Click "Thanks" if I was of any help!
The issue was resolved by taking the phone to a mobile phone repair service which took €35 and returned the device with a functional IMEI.
Hi,
I have Galaxy S4 Mini VE GT-i9195i. The phone was a bit laggy, so I decided to factory reset. When I did it, the phone didn't booted. It was showing Odin download screen with red text "Could not do normal boot, odin mode" (or something like that). In thread [index] Galaxy S4 mini i9195i were some recoveries, so I used odin to recovery it. Now, when booting, it shows "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing, set warranty bit:kernel" and when it boots up, there is setup screen (the one which shows when you firt turn the phone on), but the phone is spamming with message boxes "<random process or app> stopped working", so I can't do anything(by fast taping OK, I manage to get through few screens, but when it come's Google account choose, the screen goes black).
I tried another recovery, but none of them worked.
In the forum, there is also link to stock ROM, I think wiping all the data and flashing the phone with stock ROM could help, but last time I did something like this was about 5 years ago with Xperia, and I couldn't find any guide how to do this, so could you guys please tell me what to do?
Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I think flashing the stock rom is the last best option. Anyways here r the steps:
1. Download Odin 3.1x.x version( its the program via which you can flash samsung stock roms, modems, recoveries and caches etc,...google it)
2.If possible, before doing anything to your phone, take a nandroid backup from recovery like TWRP or CWM)
3.Hold power+home+volume down button to boot into bootloader menu. Once booted, it will ask you to press volume up button to continue, do that.
4.Now connect your phone to your pc via data cable( kindly confirm that your pc usb ports are working properly otherwise the flashing will corrupt)
5. Open Odin. If connected properly, you will see the ID:COM tab turn blue mentioning the port name you connected. Now click AP on right hand side and search /select the location where your Stock rom(md5) file is located. Now on left side panel(logs) you will see something is going on. Wait for a few minitues and after processing is done (when you see the lines "leave cs...") Click start and relax.
6.It will take some time to flash the rom. If everything went well, there will be a "PASS" message on top left of Odin. The phone will boot into recovery and do some cleaning and reboot again.......................................................Congratulations!!
Note: I follow this method on GT-9192 and i think its same with your model.
I think the message "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing" means incompatible recovery software for this device. Try different one.
The only working recovery for our phone is TWRP recovery. Flash the .img through flashify after rooting with Kingroot / Supersu me and you are done . Be sure to flash the stock rom through odin to fix any hiccups with app not responding and after proceed normally.
Hi All,
Sorry for my English, it's not my language.
I need your help because I think I have bricked my Note 7 after trying to install the last Hydra rom 1.3.5.
I explain you the situation:
I have installed custom TWRP => it was good
Then I have rooted with superU => it was good
Then I have tried to install hydra rom => the installation was OK
The phone reboot at the end of installation => phone stay on start screen "Hydra rom" and reboot (loop infinite)
I cannot power OFF the phone.
I cannot go to the recovery menu.
I can only go to the download mode.
So I have tried to re-install TWRP with ODIN but it was not working. Ondin detects my phone and when I click on start, I have the message "Fail" on ODIN and the phone reboot.
Do you have any ideas to help me?
Thanks.
Note 7 Problem - please help if you can, please
Hello
I am newbie here with no proper experience [ I flashed mobile with success once but it was years ago with NOKIA e90!]
I have Note 7 exynos UK VODAFONE and I did flashed it with older OEM firmware [ to bring it back to 100% battery], I downloaded from sammobile than recent one on my mobile [ limited 60% battery]
I unchecked re-partition
I used AP file there
all went fine with ODIN v3.11.1 all pass !
but once mobile started I have big message on my screen which does not disappear [ see attached photo]
unfortunately, the process
com.android.phone stopped
I can click/press OK on screen below that message, but it reappears again and again
I tried to flash it again but now ODIN says fail and something about PIT
I would appreciate some help or tell me what steps I should take [ apart of surrendering phone to place I bought it from!!!]
regards
M.
What I did to make this work:
1 install TWRP
2 whipe format data "yes" x3
3 advanced format everything except external storage
4 reboot to download mode
5 open Odin on pc flash BL/CP provided in original Post of HydraRom
6 install HydraRom via TWRP
7 follow direction installation process
8 wait 5 mins boom!
Never fails for me.
I did that. I have already did that several time before. But I think I have understood the problem. My BL file is corrupt (may be during the download from the server)!
So I think the boot loader not working correctly! I have tried to reload one but without success. Directly Odin write "FAIL"...
Able to access Download mode only after Hydra flash. Solution?
Did this issue ever get a solution? I am having the same issue. I can enter into download mode only after the attempted hydra flash. Now it's stuck on "Hydra N7" boot screen. I had N930F flashed and running with twrp. When I attempted hydra I believe that the full rom did not flash, only 40 MB or so. To make matters worse I can't find where I jotted down my baseband, etc. It was originally N930X (live demo model). Now I get fails in odin. What can I do to remedy my situation. I read that I should flash BPH6 base files, but here it says AGO or AG2 BL. Which is it? How do I wipe the cache and data since I can only access Odin mode? I believe my BL is corrupted. Please help. I was going to trade my Note 7 in but my imei is all zeros and the boot loop. I'm not sure that they will refund or exchange in this condition. Although, they should since I doubt Samsung wants the liability of having these devices out there. Any thoughts on the matter?
Any insight and guidance is greatly appreciated!

Hello!
Few days ago i found my Samsung Tab 3, and decided to charge it and biit it up.
It got stuck on Samsung logo when i booted it.
So i did a factory reset using the recovery mode.
After i did that the device booted up. with lots of errors.
I was on the setup screen for my device and these errors appeard and said like core has stopped working and every like preinstalled app on my samsung device aswell (NAME has stopped working). So i was not able to fullfill the setup of my device.
I read about it online and a firmware upgrade could fix the problem ( Like the easiest way i read )
So i did some googling and downloaded Odin and a firmware. Followed a guide and did everything right. BUT the process faild like 8min into the flash.
And now my device is stuck on "download mode" but with the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I cant get the phone to turn off, nor get into recovery mode or anything else. I tried flash again but no luck.
I also tried another firmware i found. still same problem.
How do i fix this and how can i use my samsung tab 3 again.
WHen i bought it years ago i never really used it. So it's in "new shape" and has never really been used. And now i wanna give it to my little sister for some kids games to play at Xmas.
I hope we can solve this problem.
Thanks in advance

That depends on various things, such as the Android version, kernel and change ID. Than also the Odin version you've used and/or the settings during the attempt of flashing. I found that using the wrong Odin version on a particular Android version, that may prevent the flash of being successfull. B.t.w, did you format both user and cache partition while trying to reset to factory default?

Yeah, I've found out what Odin version to use that worked for others. I've downloaded lots of different firmwares and such and tried. ALL fails.
When i did a factory reset i also cleared cash and user.
Now i cant even turn off the damn thing. If i charge it up and start, it just goes directly to the screen where it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and if i try to turn it off, it just reboots and goes back. And i cant even return to factory reset page.
I think that my Micro-USB cable might not work for this, or is that a thing? Do i need a good cable from PC to Phone for this? Or does any cable work?
I just want this tab to work. been trying for weeks.
Thanks for your reply. I hope we can sort this out.

It is quite easy to turn the device off, for that to happen you have to press and hold the on/off button. You'll see that the device will shutdown and try to reboot and then finally shuts down again and stay off, then release the on/off button.
Are you sure trying to flash the correct firmware with correct changes, etc??
Please share with us the device and Android version, as well as the stock ROM version with changes you're trying to flash.
Put (copy and paste) the output of Odin below.
Another way to get the firmware flashed is by using Heimdall, but for that to happen you first need to rename the extension of the stock ROM (remove .md5 and leave .tar) and than extract all seperate pieces that are contained within the stock ROM.
All those extracted pieces from the stock ROM you have to upload seperately onto Heimdall and try to flash them to your tablet, one by one.
Heimdall you'll find 'here' or use FWUL instead which has Heimdall pre installed, download is to be found 'here' and install it on a USB medium a stick, to put FWUL onto USB, use Balena-Etcher and the download is to be found 'here'.
Micro USB cable does work, but if you're unsure, try another one and make sure using the correct drivers too.
Using Odin, make sure the tablet is recognised and 'connected' in Odin, also make sure 'repartitioning' is unchecked.
If you've used the wrong Odin version, flashing will fail!

You're welcome.
Hi, complete novice here, does anyone know where I can get a working Firmware for my Tab 3 v7 (SM-210)?
I have searched through various forum articles here, and tried to install with several builds but none will install. The only one that gets anywhere near is the JASBR build by gr8nole. It appears to install, but on restart, the TAB just sits on the "Samsung Tab3" start screen.
I read that I may need to flash the firmware 4.4.4 (Kit Kat), but can't find it!
The unit is not totally bricked (yet), as I can run TWRP 2.8, with which I created a backup of the original build, but when I try to restore the backup, it fails at just over 31%.
Can anyone help please?
I'll try to be as detail as possible so that anyone with experience can help me. BTW this is my first thread.
The phone is originally a Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace with J2 Prime firmware installed by me
Note 1: I flashed this firmware about 2-3 years ago without problems.
On a random day, I decided to restart my phone, and suddenly, a bootloop!!
Later I realised a soft brick had occured.
So I did a factory reset and wiped cache thru recovery mode.
But no use.
Also I remember seeing errors like "ddi read failed" "ddi write failed"
No idea what it means.
Then I tried flashing stock firmware through Odin using Download Mode.
It failed and gave an error "Write operation failed"
That is similar to the error I saw in the phone like "ddi write failed"
So, now here comes my big mistake.
I tried flashing TWRP using Odin.
It gave a pass, but I think I messed up.
So now I cant use Stock Recovery Mode also. It keeps showing "Installing System Update" for eternity.
So now Im blank and left out.
I found a few similar posts like mine but they werent clear and Im not sure as they seemed dangerous like playing with PIT file, doing NAND erase and something.
So, I dont want to go to the service center and pay a high price. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it myself. Thanks.
Note : I downloaded firmware from samfrew.com. I checked and the firmware year is 2018. Is that a problem. Should i try to find the latest firmware possible? (Sammobile doesnt have my firmware and they cap download speeds too much anyway)
Okay, some more info
When trying to boot like normal, it will sometimes show an error saying "Custom binary blocked by SECURE BOOT" before it starts its bootloop .
Also checked in Download mode, i have frp lock enabled and secure boot enabled.
