Hi,
I have Galaxy S4 Mini VE GT-i9195i. The phone was a bit laggy, so I decided to factory reset. When I did it, the phone didn't booted. It was showing Odin download screen with red text "Could not do normal boot, odin mode" (or something like that). In thread [index] Galaxy S4 mini i9195i were some recoveries, so I used odin to recovery it. Now, when booting, it shows "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing, set warranty bit:kernel" and when it boots up, there is setup screen (the one which shows when you firt turn the phone on), but the phone is spamming with message boxes "<random process or app> stopped working", so I can't do anything(by fast taping OK, I manage to get through few screens, but when it come's Google account choose, the screen goes black).
I tried another recovery, but none of them worked.
In the forum, there is also link to stock ROM, I think wiping all the data and flashing the phone with stock ROM could help, but last time I did something like this was about 5 years ago with Xperia, and I couldn't find any guide how to do this, so could you guys please tell me what to do?
Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I think flashing the stock rom is the last best option. Anyways here r the steps:
1. Download Odin 3.1x.x version( its the program via which you can flash samsung stock roms, modems, recoveries and caches etc,...google it)
2.If possible, before doing anything to your phone, take a nandroid backup from recovery like TWRP or CWM)
3.Hold power+home+volume down button to boot into bootloader menu. Once booted, it will ask you to press volume up button to continue, do that.
4.Now connect your phone to your pc via data cable( kindly confirm that your pc usb ports are working properly otherwise the flashing will corrupt)
5. Open Odin. If connected properly, you will see the ID:COM tab turn blue mentioning the port name you connected. Now click AP on right hand side and search /select the location where your Stock rom(md5) file is located. Now on left side panel(logs) you will see something is going on. Wait for a few minitues and after processing is done (when you see the lines "leave cs...") Click start and relax.
6.It will take some time to flash the rom. If everything went well, there will be a "PASS" message on top left of Odin. The phone will boot into recovery and do some cleaning and reboot again.......................................................Congratulations!!
Note: I follow this method on GT-9192 and i think its same with your model.
I think the message "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing" means incompatible recovery software for this device. Try different one.
The only working recovery for our phone is TWRP recovery. Flash the .img through flashify after rooting with Kingroot / Supersu me and you are done . Be sure to flash the stock rom through odin to fix any hiccups with app not responding and after proceed normally.

I have Cyanogenmod 10.1 (stable) installed; the other day it crashed while I was on Instagram, rebooted itself, and wouldn't go past the spinning circle screen. Tried rebooting it, now it won't go past the screen before that, with the blue Cyanogenmod man and the Samsung logo.
I have TWRP 2.5.0.0 installed with it, which I don't know how is possible being that the file systems are incompatible, so unless I used Odin to install CM10.1, I don't know how I did it without installing Clockworkmod Recovery over TWRP.
I've been trying to fix it for a couple days now (I'm kicking myself for not getting around to posting here sooner). When I go into TWRP it asks me for a password (which I've never set, I assume it's asking me because that's all it knows to do when the file system is incompatible), which I click cancel at every time, and when I try to do just about anything (including installing new ROMs or recoveries from within TWRP) it gets errors when trying to mount any partitions on the device, so I can't change anything on the phone at all.
I've tried re-installing TWRP AND Clockworkmod Recovery with Odin, and they succeed, but when the phone tries to reboot, the screen just turns off and nothing happens, and I have to take the battery out to do anything else.
So right now I'm totally screwed unless I can fix this thing. I'd like to not have to drop 200 on a Nexus 4 after only a year or having this phone I bought brand new, especially with the Nexus 5 already coming out later this year...can somebody help me???
EDIT: I should clarify that I can access recovery and download mode
If you can get into download mode you can flash a stock image to your phone and restart from scratch. Download the proper stock image from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625 and flash it in odin.

I should've clarified that I've tried this with a bunch of roms, and it just shows SBA2 in the status box forever. I left it for a full hour before and it never changed.
According to this page http://www.alliance-rom.com/community/wiki/bricked-android/ reformating your external sd card may help. It also links to something I personally have never heard of but apparently this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15330252 can help unbrick any samsung phone that's flashable with odin.
Hey guys..
My phone is stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S4" screen" where it shows just the letters.
The last thing I remember doing was using taskiller and phone's memory killer to kill memory because it was slow... and when I tried to open up text messages, it wouldn't open.
So I restarted the phone and now it's stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S4" Screen.
( I also removed some apps days before.. but I had rebooted and phone it was working just fine).
- I haven't tried to reinstall a radio.. I woudn't know which one.
- I can access odin just fine by clicking the 3 keys.
- I Can't access TWRP Recovery. I held the 3 keys, and it shows the message on the left corner like it's going to go, but then just reboots and gets stuck on samsung screen.
Tried to reinstall it, but didn't seem to work I guess.. since it still shows the left corner message, but doesnt go to twrp.
Details about my phone:
SGS4 Rooted.
Rom, Custom Stock Rom.. Jedi S4X http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331942 (url of ROM)

1. You can flash other custom recovery through ODIN and wipe all (If you have important things in the phone better go to step 2 directly)
2. Flash the latest firmware through ODIN for ur phone: HERE
Galaxy tab 3 gt-p5210 (white 10'1") wifi welcome screen only after using ODIN to root
Please help me. My knowledge is severely limited and i do not understand a lot of the terminology used here. I downloaded a file called ODIN and followed the instructions carefully to root my galaxy tab 3. Eventually it came up as "Passed" on the computer screen. "Yes"! i thought "I've rooted it". However after unplugging it from the computer my tablet is stuck on the welcome screen which simply states "GALAXY TAB III...
I have tried many remedies most of which i don't understand. The only thing that i can get the device to do is if i press power and volume -. This gives me an option to press volume + which takes me to the screen used in order to instal software onto the device. It says in the top right corner:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-P5210
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
in the centre of the screen is an android with the words "DOWNLOADING...DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET" obviously there is nothing dowloading. I have tried redoing the ODIN procedure but still it remains stuck on the welcome screen,.
I have read about recovery mode but there is no recovery mode i can access on this device. The only functions are the 2 screens explained above. I have not messed about with anything i shouldn't have. I just followed the instructions which worked but have left my device stuck on the welcome screen. From what i've read it appears that this is called stuck in boot or boot loader. I would be very grateful if someone can take me through what i need to do to remedy the problem so that i can get my tablet working again, preferably rooted, however even putting it back to normal will do until i learn more about this stuff.
Please someone help me with this. I really need the tablet.. I would be extremely grateful and would learn in the process. Fingers crossed. Craig.

You definetly need to use Odin and flash a custom recovery like TWRP (preferebly). That's your first step so that you can restore your tablet, If you're having issues.

Could you elaborate on how one would do this? I think I'm having the exact same problem. Also, I can't seem to download any TWRP files, it gets blocked by my anti-virus.
Thanks
You flash twrp with odin as well. Boot the phone into download mode. Load twrp into the pda slot of odin and make sure repartition is not checked. Then hit start. Once finished you access recovery by holding vol+, home, and power until you see the tab3 splash, then release power but keep the other 2 buttons held in until it boots to twrp.
You may need to turn off your antivirus if it is blocking twrp downloads...

I don't know what happened but all of a sudden my gs4 stopped working and I could only get it up to the logo before it rebooted again. I am a total noob so I don't have any developer apps or firmware or whatever. I tried using Kies but I get stuck on the serial number part as I have entered everything on the box and behind the battery with none of them working. Now I am trying to use Odin but I think I messed up my phone even more. On the box it says M919NUVUEMK5 so I downloaded the firmware with that same code but originally I had downloaded the NUVUFOK one and used that. So I followed the guide and used that NUVUFOK file, and it seemd to be working as the download bar on my phone was almost done, but then all of a sudden it failed. I figured that was the wrong firmware so I went back and got the MK5 one, but now when I try to do the same thing with this firmware the bar only loads a tiny bit and then stops. Also the phone won't start up properly after I tried this, now it says there is an issue with the firmware upgrade and I need to use recovery mode in Kies. I have no idea what to do or what I am even doing, all I want to do is get my phone working again.
If you live in the US, you can take it to Best Buy an they will use there software to get it working again. Its hell of a lot less work.

Hello. You will need to reformat your device so odin can recognize it. This can be done by using odin to flash a custom recovery like TWRP. The download link for that custom recovery is: https://dl.twrp.me/jfltetmo
Once you have that downloaded open odin and select AP option. Browse to where you saved TWRP and select it. Now proceed with flashing like normal. after its done flashing turn off the device.
After it is completely off hold the power button and volume up button simultaneously until you see the blue words on the top right corner of the boot logo screen.
Now you are in the twrp custom recovery menu. Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe then select everything except for external sd, USB, and internal storage.
Once it is complete formatting turn the phone off again and boot back into download mode. Now you can reflash the correct firmware for your phone. I recommend using this firmware instead since it is a whole image rather than an incremental update. After flashing this your phone will reboot, give you the loading android logo and then the phone will start up once again! Good luck
The phone is giving the firmware error message because you tried to flash an older firmware to the phone.
Download the latest firmware for your phone and reflash it using Odin and the original Samsung USB cable.

I downloaded it and it worked but now can't get past the "blue words" part. When trying to go into recovery it gives me either of two screens, one says "system software not authorized by samsung has been found on your phone." with red words "secure fail: kernel" or the blue words show up followed by red words that say "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" and then yellow words "set warranty bit: recovery". the phone is still resetting and freezing randomly.

Hello!
Few days ago i found my Samsung Tab 3, and decided to charge it and biit it up.
It got stuck on Samsung logo when i booted it.
So i did a factory reset using the recovery mode.
After i did that the device booted up. with lots of errors.
I was on the setup screen for my device and these errors appeard and said like core has stopped working and every like preinstalled app on my samsung device aswell (NAME has stopped working). So i was not able to fullfill the setup of my device.
I read about it online and a firmware upgrade could fix the problem ( Like the easiest way i read )
So i did some googling and downloaded Odin and a firmware. Followed a guide and did everything right. BUT the process faild like 8min into the flash.
And now my device is stuck on "download mode" but with the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I cant get the phone to turn off, nor get into recovery mode or anything else. I tried flash again but no luck.
I also tried another firmware i found. still same problem.
How do i fix this and how can i use my samsung tab 3 again.
WHen i bought it years ago i never really used it. So it's in "new shape" and has never really been used. And now i wanna give it to my little sister for some kids games to play at Xmas.
I hope we can solve this problem.
Thanks in advance

That depends on various things, such as the Android version, kernel and change ID. Than also the Odin version you've used and/or the settings during the attempt of flashing. I found that using the wrong Odin version on a particular Android version, that may prevent the flash of being successfull. B.t.w, did you format both user and cache partition while trying to reset to factory default?

Yeah, I've found out what Odin version to use that worked for others. I've downloaded lots of different firmwares and such and tried. ALL fails.
When i did a factory reset i also cleared cash and user.
Now i cant even turn off the damn thing. If i charge it up and start, it just goes directly to the screen where it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and if i try to turn it off, it just reboots and goes back. And i cant even return to factory reset page.
I think that my Micro-USB cable might not work for this, or is that a thing? Do i need a good cable from PC to Phone for this? Or does any cable work?
I just want this tab to work. been trying for weeks.
Thanks for your reply. I hope we can sort this out.

It is quite easy to turn the device off, for that to happen you have to press and hold the on/off button. You'll see that the device will shutdown and try to reboot and then finally shuts down again and stay off, then release the on/off button.
Are you sure trying to flash the correct firmware with correct changes, etc??
Please share with us the device and Android version, as well as the stock ROM version with changes you're trying to flash.
Put (copy and paste) the output of Odin below.
Another way to get the firmware flashed is by using Heimdall, but for that to happen you first need to rename the extension of the stock ROM (remove .md5 and leave .tar) and than extract all seperate pieces that are contained within the stock ROM.
All those extracted pieces from the stock ROM you have to upload seperately onto Heimdall and try to flash them to your tablet, one by one.
Heimdall you'll find 'here' or use FWUL instead which has Heimdall pre installed, download is to be found 'here' and install it on a USB medium a stick, to put FWUL onto USB, use Balena-Etcher and the download is to be found 'here'.
Micro USB cable does work, but if you're unsure, try another one and make sure using the correct drivers too.
Using Odin, make sure the tablet is recognised and 'connected' in Odin, also make sure 'repartitioning' is unchecked.
If you've used the wrong Odin version, flashing will fail!

You're welcome.
Hi, complete novice here, does anyone know where I can get a working Firmware for my Tab 3 v7 (SM-210)?
I have searched through various forum articles here, and tried to install with several builds but none will install. The only one that gets anywhere near is the JASBR build by gr8nole. It appears to install, but on restart, the TAB just sits on the "Samsung Tab3" start screen.
I read that I may need to flash the firmware 4.4.4 (Kit Kat), but can't find it!
The unit is not totally bricked (yet), as I can run TWRP 2.8, with which I created a backup of the original build, but when I try to restore the backup, it fails at just over 31%.
Can anyone help please?
