Hello
I've been considering purchasing the Asian Variant made in Taiwan for use within Australia.
Is there any difference to this version vs any other version sold?
Is it compatible for use in Australia.
Thank you for your input.

which carrier? on vodafone you should be alright.
Just check it has LTE. Otherwise, it'll be fine.
Just as the title says.. is it possible? Will it work with the network carriers over here?
IDC about taxes and stuff I just want to know about compatibility with the network carriers.
Sorry for my English
where in Asia?
each carrier usually uses different frequencies as allowed by local laws.
in the spec page of the OnePlus3 you can see the frequencies supported by the US version.
if you specify where you are from we can help localize the carrier support for your region.
Helpful service
Google search willmyphonework
Edit: Since Im a new member I cannot post the direct link
I used this site to make sure my op3 was compatible with the carriers in my country. Just select your phone and model (I believe A3000 is the american model) and the country and it will give you a list of compatible carriers and the bands each carrier uses.
Mostly 4G won't work. Band 3 (1800MHz) is common in Asia. Try Aliexpress. They have A3000 model for the same price (Free shipping), which has Band 3 network. I'm in Sri Lanka. I was about to buy OP3 phone from USA but skipped it because I found out the network incompatibility.

I'm from Israel.
I just checked on willmyphonework and you guys were right, it's compatible only with 2G and 3G bands, and about 0% compatibility with 4G bands.
Ofc it's a deal breaker for me so I won't buy it in my trip to the US soon.
Do you know if maybe I can find the EU model for sale in the US?
If not, do you have any recommendations on where to buy it? Here in Israel it's about 1000 INS (about 250$) MORE than the US price...

I bought mine directly from the manufacturer. There was no option at the time to select the model but they seemed to select the model for me anyway based on the ship to address, so I got the European model. I would check the different models available on that site and find the one that works in Israel
Aliexpress is a good site. Just check seller's and shop's rating. There are plenty of OP3 for sale in Aliexpress for the original price. A3000 model would support your 4G connection. (Better check yourself )
Hi, I'm from South America, so, my only option to get this device is to buy one from china sellers. But I'm confused because every page like willmydevicework (I don't trust this so much), gsmarena and devicespecifications.com show different information on LTE Band Support.
For example, in willmydevicework, none of the variants (p2a42 and p2c72) supports B4 AWS LTE (1700/2100) (The band that i need in my carrier)
On the other side, in gsmarena and devicespecifications, all the variants, no matter if is p2a42 or p2c72 and 32 o 64gb storage, supports that band.
From sellers, the Aliexpress store "Eternal Team" show full band support on p2c72 model: FDD Band 1/3/4/5/7/8/20/28
Other seller, Fantacy, says that his p2c72 supports only LTE FDD B1/B3/B7.
And finally, tinydeal and Aliexpress "Lenovo authorized store", shows that his 64gb model supports FDD-LTE B1, B3, B4, B7, B8.
So, which should I trust? I'm interested only if the phone supports B4, asking for advice if someone of south america or other america's countries have the device and working on his 4G LTE carrier with B4 AWS.
Thanks in advance.

Am having the same issues like you, I want to buy from Nigeria ?? but a feed up with the inconclusive description on Aliexpress. Am looking to get the model that has LTE band 28 but non of the descriptions contain band 28 now.
Please can anyone who is already using this phone confirm the LTE bands?
Are there different hardwares/modems for p2?
Please I need urgent reply

From my experience. You can't trust any of the chinese stores with listing proper frequency's.
They even list the wrong frequency's to catch you into buying the device in question.
I highly recommend following site to check for frequency support:
Look at supported cellular networks!
P2a42 = http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11116&c=lenovo_vibe_p2_p2a42_dual_sim_td-lte_32gb
P2c72 32GB = http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=10515&c=lenovo_vibe_p2_p2c72_dual_sim_td-lte_32gb
P2c72 64GB = http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=10930&c=lenovo_vibe_p2_p2c72_dual_sim_td-lte_64gb

Thanks for clarifying me mate, Aliexpress guys are selling the P2c72 with 4G/64G but here is the issue as I also attached, they are flashing the ROM for P2a42 in it because of play store, multi language and to sell globally but the problem is,
If you they flash P2c42 ROM on P2c72, will all the LTE band work?
Is there any hardware difference between P2c72 and P2a42?
Or is it just a modem difference, same hardware?

No the LTE bands will stay the same. Its hardware limited.
What they do is. Use the available information here from XDA how to flash the P2a42 Firmware on the P2c72.
Usually they just flash the system.img and the boot stack. You will have P2a42 Userinterface in multilingual just like an P2a42 but will still have the same LTE bands like the P2c72.
The reason behind it.
The P2c72 is sold in their homecountry (usually china) for way cheaper than the P2a42 in the western market
and they sell the modified P2c72 for a higher prices on the international market, which is still cheaper tham the P2a42 price.
By tricking the customer into listing all LTE frequency and confusing them to have "P2a42" feature. They fall for the trap.
Always trust the listing at pdadb.net
Thanks mate, the seller told me no after I put forth the question to him without any explanation but I guess this answers it.
Really need a good mid range with LTE Band 28 that ships to Nigeria.
My target was Redmi note 3 special edition but All Aliexpress stores shipping to Nigeria is out of stock. Sadly enough, they still ship to Spain.

You can use pdadb to filter for phones by bands and other features. I use that to start my research. Stick with Snapdragon based devices if you want community freedom.
Avoid Oppo phones at all costs. They don't release kernel sources and removed fastboot and any way of unlocking the bootloader.
Preferably stick with a brand that:
1. Snapdragon based phones
2. Releases kernel Sources
3. Allows for Bootloader unlocking
4. Has a community on XDA
Such as Xiaomi, Motorola, Lenovo, etc just to name a few. In not any particular order.

So, you have LTE band 4 with your carrier and your using it on your Chinese p2c72?
I am going to buy the 7x, but live in the US and use T-Mobile, but I want the 4GB/64BG version. Frequency Check says that the BND-L21 has LTE Band 4, which is fine, that's all my current phone has.
However, GSMArena and other places do not list band 4 on the BND-L21 version.
Can anyone confirm if the L21 actually has LTE band 4?
Second, if I rebrand the L21 with files from the L24, will it open up the frequencies available on the L24?

I've considered getting either the euro version or the indian variant L22 (on the device its Al-10 variant though), so not sure how the L22 came along. As i'm from neither region, which variant in your opinion would be the better one in terms of speed of ota's, etc? Yes i have read of firmware finder, but i see alot users have struggled with it, any thoughts on why? If i get either variant, and dont get ota's, i will definitely try firmware finder as i have no knowledge of doing it manually.
Thanks again

The easiest for me is to get the indian variant, if im patient (which i am lol) a friend can bring me euro version. The L21 on online selling site is the global version from what i read. The only reason i held back, is honor india said no to for receiving otas (that was before finding out about firmware finder) In Sa, probably vodacom & telkom. The network providers share similar bands, so thats okay to change to others if neccesary.
Are you running the beta version? Yeah i think im going to familiarise myself with the finder app so makes things easier.

Hi, i'm about to buy online an S20FE 5g (preferably an 8GB), and i was wondering about the differences between different versions; i don't know what should i buy to use in Europe.
I could not find a comprehensive list, so i thought i could just post what i know; the more info you can share, the most complete the list will be.
SM-G781B (International)
SM-G781U (USA)
operator locked, should not buy for Europe
SM-G781U1 (USA Unlocked)
not a real dual sim (as stated here)
SM-G781W (Canada)
SM-G7810 (China, Hong Kong)
for this version there's a 8/128 model (is it good to use in Europe? they seems to come at a cheap price)
SM-G781N (Korea)
SM-G781V (Verizon)
Also, the /DS stands for "dual-sim hybrid tray" i suppose, based on this evidence
Based on this, frequencies support should be the same for models SM-G781B (International), SM-G781N (Korea), SM-G781U (USA), SM-G781V (Verizon):
GSM frequencies
850 900 1800 1900
Standard UMTS
850 900 1900 2100
Standard LTE
FDD LTE: 2600, 2100, 1900, 1800, 1700, 900, 850, 800, 700
TDD LTE: 2600, 2500, 2300, 1900
Standard 5G
FDD 5G: 1900, 1700, 850, 600
TDD 5G: 2500
The one listed on Bestbuy is SM-G781UZBMXAA. Can I use that outside of US, in Asia perhaps?
I got SM-G7810 , I am from Poland and it works just fine. Bought it from my local phone store with their warranty. Got it much cheaper. Works ok, no problems.

Got the same phone delivered since a day in the Netherlands. Works fine, every language possible to choose, works fine on the networks etc.
I'm just trying to find a way to flash a ROM with another CSC to try to enable THL ( Thailand CSC) as to make phone-recording possible. Seems not easy to get rid of the Hong Kong CSC.
Even with some 'CSC change tricks' I don't get any further than to choose for TGY as the only one in the list.
