someone from the UK want to please order one and check it out before I battle language barriers and international shipping to the US? I want to build a custom cable for my car.

or, if you speak german,

a window will popup about the extUSB connectors, or you can just go here:

Is shipping to U.S. an available option?

I just had a look at the website, and it is not at all certain that they will ship to the U.S. anyway. Only shipping and payment options to Germany and Europe are specified. Perhaps your [eventual] European purchase partner will be willing to buy on your behalf and forward the item to the U.S.
______________
ADDED: It appears that one is not offered the choice of a USB connectors on the other end of the data cable: If you select the 11-pin Mini-B Male plug, the other connector will be the corresponding Mini-B Female (thus, an extension cable).

Found a US company here http://www.podgizmo.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=29
if anyone ever figures out how to build one of these, let me know and i'll buy one from you (preferably a 3' female to male ExtUSB cable)
hi there!
Did you already get the connector? if you still need it, i can order it for you an ship it to the US.
The Store sells just the connector without anything soldered to it but that plastic part holding the Wires in place is also included.
So you can easily solder the wires to the pins.

well i'd also need a female connector and I don't see that on there

If you were game you could desolder the cable that's already on the 3in1 and solder a new longer cable to the HTC plug. I think that's what I might end up doing if I can get a hold of one of these socket.
There are a couple of alternatives ... you could buy a couple of HTC OEM cables hack one to find out the cable colours to the soldered points on the PCB board cut the big USB end off of the other cable and solder the cable to the appropriate points or you could find another 11 core cable, desolder the cable from the PCB and resolder the new cable in between the board and the old cable. It'll look a little messy at the join though.
you can get them all from here

Where?
None of them are extUSB!
is this it? http://www.wisebuynow.com/cart/index.php?target=products&product_id=29865
Nope - not even close!
extUSB is a proprietary connector made by HTC.
The 'ext' you have found is just an abbreviation for 'extension' used by that web site. What's more it's not even mini USB let alone extUSB.
ExtUSB Breakout Connector - USA
Suggest this web site as best source I've yet found for a solderable ExtUSB connector:
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9167
Still no signs of the corresponding line socket needed for a 'straightforward' extension lead, but with this connector, it would at least be possible to make up a suitable umbilical with appropriate connections hard wired at the other end tucked out of sight.
They also have a surface mount mini USB B socket which could be used for a data extension.
Add'n:
This is a ready made lead that also has possibilities...

Job offer: Create HTC 3-1 connector with long lead
Hi everyone..
I'm also diving into the entire extUSB thing... I have my tytnII installed on my motorbike, and want to connect all the leads in a tidy fashin... If i could do this with just a single wire leading to the phone and every else tucked under the seat that would be great..
Problem.. i'm not very skilled at soldering, or finding the right cables..
This would involve having either somebody creating a 3ft (1m) extension cable for extUSB connectors, or somebody soldering on such a cable on to an existing HTC multifunction connector (they are way better then the older 3 in 1: HTC Multifunction Audio Cable YC-A300)
http://www.pdashop.nl/product/57427/45045/3361/htc-multifunction-audio-cable-yc-a300.html
Anybody willing to take up this task? Downpayment of course available (paypal preferably) (PM me)
Cheers
Bjorn
Any news in the subject?
I'd also love to have an extension cable.
Or the perfect solution for me would be to have this YC-A300 with simply longer cable (1-1.5 m). If someone could make a few I'm sure there would be many people willing to buy one (me included)
hi , i have a touch pro 2
is there any diffrent between the ExtUSB 11 Pin USB connector to a regular mini usb , they both can charge my device but looks slightly diffrent on one edge..
ExtUSB 11 Pin USB looks like this : http://www.podgizmo.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=29
and a regular mini usb looks like this : http://i.expansys.com/i/b/b154871.jpg
can i use both ? would it be dangerous to my device?
yes, in general, you can use both.
yes its a normal mini usb port with an xtra 7 contacts on the underside for "video out"/ect so u can use a normal 4pin usb cable or a 2pin charge only cable.
A mini USB is 5 pins (not 4 as a standard USB) so there are 6 more in HTC's implementation - please see sample pictures attached.
Can you buy these cables anywhere? Or is the only option to cannibalize an existing headset? Would be nice to get my hands on a couple of fully wired ones as I suspect the headset one omits the USB wires.
Can anyone help me find a decent working 5 pin mhl adapter so I can use it for my older devices gs2 ect. and I also would need a decent working 5 to 11 pin adapter to use it for my note 2.
hello, you can find on ebay cheap adapters (about 5$). For 10-12$ you get a mhl cable (with international free shipping). I orderd one, I'll get back with more info after it arrives
I have replaced the top board in one of my M8 phone, after the replacement the SIM card could not be read.
I replaced the flex cable between the board and the main board with the original one from my other M8 and then the SIM card worked. But now the SIM on my other M8 does not work anymore.
Does anyone know if there are different flex cables? I am not sure if I order a new flex cable if it will work.
So both my M8 work with one of the 3 flex cables, and one flex cable came with a new board.
Hi guys ,
my third usb connector in my note 2 stopped to work so I am going to buy a new one and after comparing a lot of prices , I saw that there are a lot of different revisions of the USB dock connector
like 0.7 0.8 1.0 1.0C
So my question is which one is the best of them?
