I have replaced the top board in one of my M8 phone, after the replacement the SIM card could not be read.
I replaced the flex cable between the board and the main board with the original one from my other M8 and then the SIM card worked. But now the SIM on my other M8 does not work anymore.
Does anyone know if there are different flex cables? I am not sure if I order a new flex cable if it will work.
So both my M8 work with one of the 3 flex cables, and one flex cable came with a new board.

So, I broke my lcd cable and I haven't found new one yet. Can I just buy new lcd cable from somewhere or do I have to buy new screen ? Or can I take lcd cable from another phone ?
My phone's charger port was recently fried when my phone got stuck in a boot loop over night while charging. I bought a new board and replaced it but now I have no service. I occasionally get full LTE reception but do not have mobile data at all. Is it possible that the blue cable, which I have seen referred to as the WIFI Flex Cable, is causing the problem? The M919 has the one blue cable, but the other variants have two cables that connect to this board. Anyone have any idea about this? Any help would be appreciated.
Where did you get the USB flex cable? It could be the flex cable that is the problem. I have read other posts where people replaced their phone's flex cable which resulted in network signal, charging, data transfer, or wifi problems.

I didn't change it out. I used the same one that was connected to the previous board. I just bought one and am going to replace it to see if that fixes it. That's my last hope before I have to buy a new phone so here's hoping.
Hey guys,
I recently replaced the usb port on my LG G3, and while re-flowing the port i knocked off one of the resistor banks and re-flowed the IC directly below the usb port.
has anybody got a high res image of that area of the board so that I can ascertain if I am missing any of the components?
i think i am missing one of the 0102 resistors from the back.
Cheers .
found the schematic.

discovered that the flux that i used to de-solder the usb connector and gummed up the springs contacts for the speaker , so i dropped the board in some alcohol to remove what i could and added a bit of solder to the speaker terminals to give it a bit of height.
works like a charm now.. i can stop looking for a new phone.

As I'm sure has happened to others, the microusb port on my tablet has gotten a bit loose so that with most cables charging is inconsistent at best. I've tried two replacement microUSB port parts from ebay, and with both of them the microusb port works but the microSD card slot does not (they are attached, so a replacement part contains both). Any ideas why that might be? Has anyone successfully replaced their microUSB port and kept the SD card slot working?
I have replaced mine with an ebay part without a problem. Take a look at the ifixit tutorials to make sure you did everything right:

It seems from the comments up there, some people have the same problem.

Do you happen to know which part you bought that worked for you? I've now gone through three replacements and the microSD card slots dont work with any of them.
