Help

hello !
I was a new person and P6 is my first smartphone, however through xda forums I have root and install CWM + TWRP DC . Recently I have updated to the last B506 kk "local update" and install twrp_2_6_3_7 success . But I'm not happy about the B506 should have been lowered by 125 local update . And the problem happened : my phone can not work always reboot into TWRP recovery . I rom via TWRP is the error message :
skip md5 check : no md5 file not found .
detailed partition zip update flashing error ' external_sd/B506.zip '
e : signature verification failed zip 1 .
I tried many ways but failed my phone hangs on TWRP. Finally I B506 stock rom of surdu_petru and success.
But now my phone is lost flower icon instead Huawei ANDROID letters and several other errors. Simultaneously could not pass local rom update, I still get md5 error when using TWRP rom. I want to reinstall rom 125. Who can tell me what my problem is? and one way or another?
Sorry for my english capital!
Try first to get back stock recovery. With TWRP you can't flash stock firmware.
thank god I did downgrade from B506 to B125

This will not work because 4.4 will not allow you to downgrade back to 4.2 without help.
You first have to "fix" kitkat 4.4 by using the "P6 Unicom EMUI2.0 back in the subcontract.zip" utility as explained in my previous post to allow it to be downgraded again.

You can't update to stock firmware from a custom ROM. You need to install stock recovery and use three button combo to update.

Is it possible to update to android kitkat beta from b111 international without any problems?

Hello,
It should be fine upgrading from B111 to KitKat Beta via local update.
Unrar the file after downloading and put update.app in your SD card in the dload folder (create it if you don't have one).
Reboot your phone holding the power and the volume button together (press volume button on the middle), the update process should start, if not, try again.

Downgrade solution 4.4 -> 4.2

For those who have flashed kitkat on their devices and have an update fail, here is the solution!
1. Download this UPDATE.APP file and unzip to your phone.s sdcard in the dload directory:
2. Shut down your phone.
3. Power on by holding Power+Vol Up+Vol Down end release all the keys as soon as the Huawei logo appers.
4. The phone will upgrade some files from the file you downloaded and boot into your KitKat 4.4
5. Put your B125 UPDATE.APP in the dload directory of your sdcard. Maybe 1st rename the current fallback UPDATE.APP to e.g. UPDATE.APP.fallback should you ever need it again to downgrade. (here is a very fast download link:
6. Shut down your phone and boot it with the 3 keys (remember to release the keys as soon as the logo appears) to downgrade your firmware.
and.. DONE!!

How to: ROOT Honor 6x EMUI 5.0 / ANDROID 7.0 USA VERSION BLN-L24

Requirements for this to work.
1. You need to be on emui 4.1/4.0 before hand
If not you can rollback. downloads and instructions
Are on huawei website (you do need a sd card to do this)
2. A computer with Huawei update extractor and adb tools
3.unlocked bootloader (rolling back locks it again)
4. Twrp recovery from the website not the Chinese method. (Twrp website version has bugs which is important)
5. Es file explorer already installed with root permissions on (even though you're not rooted)
FOR PEOPLE WHO STAYED ON EMUI 4.0
For everyone else on emui 5.0 rollback to emui 4.0 unlock the bootloader and flash twrp threw adb and. Follow the guide after you done that.
If you stayed on emui 4.0 for root permissions good for you . You have a shortcut all you need to do is flash twrp from their website and download the emui 4.0 firmware from Huawei's website extract the UPDATE.APP onto the desktop and drag it into the Huawei update extractor. After that you're going to extract the boot.img from the tool by right clicking then you're going to have to flash the stock boot.img you just extracted to remove root . You'll keep twrp so don't worry. Now all you have to do is let the update to emui 5.0 download to 100% now hit update. It's going to reboot into twrp to update. It will loop so DO NOT WORRY that's the bug I'm talking about it will force twrp to update you will see the terminal as twrp flashes the update after it stops looping then the screen will go black and show erecovery finishing the update.
when it boots unlock your phone open Es File Explorer when you open the application on screen will say "new files" there will be 2 zip files one of them will say update.zip.
Tap on it to open that folder. Notice that the files are going to be under the storage/emulated/0 folders which you can only get to with root copy or move both zip files to your /sdcard/download directory connect your phone to your computer open the update.zip folder and drag the update.app to the Huawei update extractor and extract the boot.img take the boot.img and put it back on your phone in the download folder.
Open magisk manager tap install and then tap on patch to boot.img now go to the magiskmanager folder copy the patched boot.img to downloads if your download folder and extract it to your desktop. After that adb your phone into bootloader mode and flash the boot.img reboot and you'll be rooted with magisk!
This is exactly how I rooted my honor 6x USA version and I know lots of people where wanting root on emui 5.0 and if you run into any bootloops or brick your phone you already have the backup stock images to try again if you want . I do apaolgize about how this looks messy and how long the guide is but it works ! I would have just uploaded the boot.img I patched but I'm new to xda and they won't let me post outside links so try it out !
But there are already guides for emui 4 and 5.
No need to rollback just to root.
There is one in my signature for emui 5

Well that was something I couldn't find I've looked forever. And I did flash twrp but it would never boot into the recovery on 5.0 that's why I did this process so I guess this is for the people who are having the same problem with their u.s version of the phone. Thanks for letting me know .
