Downgrade solution 4.4 -> 4.2

For those who have flashed kitkat on their devices and have an update fail, here is the solution!
1. Download this UPDATE.APP file and unzip to your phone.s sdcard in the dload directory:
2. Shut down your phone.
3. Power on by holding Power+Vol Up+Vol Down end release all the keys as soon as the Huawei logo appers.
4. The phone will upgrade some files from the file you downloaded and boot into your KitKat 4.4
5. Put your B125 UPDATE.APP in the dload directory of your sdcard. Maybe 1st rename the current fallback UPDATE.APP to e.g. UPDATE.APP.fallback should you ever need it again to downgrade. (here is a very fast download link:
6. Shut down your phone and boot it with the 3 keys (remember to release the keys as soon as the logo appears) to downgrade your firmware.
and.. DONE!!

[Q] please help me guys...I am screwed

I have an International version of ascend p6 -06 with B107.
I was trying to install kitkat into it.Its rooted.
I downloaded the UPDATE.APP from one of the forums.I installed twrp and I thought I can use to flash the new ROM using it,but I couldnt find the option,I read somewhere only the zip files can be installed through TWRP. Whenever I press the volume+ + volume- + power button,the phone starts with the TWRP directly than doing any update .I have put the UPDATE.APP file in dload folder in my SD card,still it was not updating with that given shortcut.
I did a stupid thing just now,I wiped all datas using TWRP and now i have no OS installed ,and like that my phone is bricked.now if i switch on the phone it gets stuck at huawei ascend Logo.and if i press volume up and down buttons along with power button,then it goes to TWRP ..
pls pls pls help me ,and thanks a ton in advance.
I even tried downloading the the original rom from the huawei website and still not able to update using that UPDATE.APP file...

don't panic..
you habe to set your phone into bootloader mode..push power and Volumen + (or -) together and hold them for about 5sec until you See the huawei ascend Logo (it stucks there - thats OK)..
then Connecticut your p6 to the pc and Start your ADB..
depending what Firmware you want (JB or KK) you habe to get a stock recovery IMG..
this can be flashed by ADB using the known commands for flashing recovery..
when you have the stock recovery you can put an update.app (e.g. from the last b511) onto your SD card Ingo the dload folder..
then you habe to unplug your phone from pc and press all three buttons (power and Volumen +/- together) and hold them until you See the Android Figure (force update method)..
should work..
if not then you have to search for the twrp sideload feature (via Google)..

no. I used a huawei P6 toolkit.

OK...then there should be the Option to install/flash a stock recovery..

here comes the next problem
I downloaded the abd driver installer 1.0,it identifies my phone.but once i press the button for installing the error pops up.,incompatible with win 8 (64 bit.)now what to do??

The option of installing stock recovery is there,but now when i can connecting the phone its not recognising.it shows phone not connected.

I have no words to thank you..finally its done..the adb drivers were not installed well,thats why it was not picked up by the tool.I updated the stock recovery image and it rebooted and installed well...thanks a ton again..and I appreciate your fast replies.I had spend 2 days only in this.its such a releif.:victory::victory:

I am sorry to trouble you again.yesterday i updater to B508 kitkat,but gprs or 3g were not working.so today I downloaded the B512 version.in this version if iam putting the dload file in SD card,it doesnt read it.I have to put this in internal storage itself.This time my phone is stuck in the normal android recovery stage as I dont have TWRP installed (I guess,the same shorcut is not starting TWRP).
And to update to the older version the update.app file should be there in internal storage which i cannot assess at this point since mobile doesnt start..what do I do??
I tried installing TWRP connecting mobile in the present status,but its not installing

hve you tried to do a force update (3 button method)..
it should work when you put the update.app in dload folder in your sdcard..
maybe you have to go to another Version (b122 or b132)..
but the only method that might now work is the 3 buttons (power and vol +/- together)..and you have to hold them until you see the Android figure (can take more then 10 seconds.. be patient)..
if this won't work then i'm too speechless (hadn't this case before)..
hope you geht your p6 running..

It worked.I fomatted the sd card and left only dload folder .and used the same version which was originally working (508).now its reverted back to normal ..half my tensions are over.but the i wanna change from this rom,in this my internet doesnt work..I wanted to install B510,but for that I have to install B132 first,which i am trying.but its not working.Any idea what should be done.?

try to flash then recovery Form b132 (usw the huawei update extractor to create one..can be found here in then forum)..then via force update you should be able to installiert then b132..and from there it is easy to load then b512 for example (system update local or force update (there you don't need to change the recovery)..

You meant I shoould make a recovery for B132 using huawei update extractor.I have the P6 tool with me,if i update a recovery image for jellybean (currently its kitkat) will that be enough??

I made B132.zip file and using TWRP i installed it.It showed the istallation was successful,and i rebooted to the system and its stuck in huawei ascend logo and its not moving from there.I tried again using the vol- + vol+ + powerbotton,Its restarting to the sa,me logo.somehow recovery is not working.I think now I am really screwed.

you should not make a ZIP file..
now you are at then beginning again..

Can't update to B512

Hey guys. I was on Kitkat Beta CN with TWRP. I wanted to update to B512 so I reverted to the original recovery B506CN recovery (downloaded it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709353)
Once I pressed local update the phone reboots but I get the following error message:
Huawei SD card update fail.....
The update is /dload/update.app
Why do I get this error message and how to fix it in order to update to B512

Tried many different combinations and nothing helped seems this problem is binded to my SD card. I tried different recovery versions and tried to update when I had 3 different roms. It seems I can't update with the stock recovery no matter what I do. I tried doing that in the internal storage but still the same mistake? Why should it access the SD card for an update in the internal storage?

When I enter recovery manually (without going at update section in settings) I see at first screen this message and I have to restart to enter at the recovery

Current build version release is not 4.2 - don't need move.

You should unplug your device from usb and then reboot to recovery because u can read there "USB Update Enter" that means your device is pluged to a pc

Have you tried using the file to downgrade back to Jelly bean from KitKat?

Download the file, and place the dload folder onto your sd card, and do a local update as usual. When that is done, your phone will reboot normally. Just replace the dload folder with the one from B512, and try updating again. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest doing a forced update using the 3-button method (power button & volume keys).

fastboot flash recovery "full name of the file extracted from the downloaded file inc it's extension"

I tried and this recovery causes a constant vibrating when in recovery mode, apart from that I still get the same errors.
My only fast and easy solution would be if someone uploaded a B512 repack for TWRP. That would be awesome, right now I just use the B513 repack. I don't think I can find the fix to this any more.

How To Enable VOLTE

Hey guys when I purchased K5 plus I received 2 system updates one is 61MB update which updated successfully and another one is 41MB update which goes failed and I think this is the VOLTE update. So right now VOLTE is not working in my phone and i also rooted my phone and presently i am on Lineage os 14.1.
So guys is there is any way to enable VOLTE in my phone..?

1st Downloaded 61MB update don't install [BACKUP YOUR INTERNAL DATA ] .
Remove Sd card from phone
Go to recovery mode ( by pressing vol & power key )
go to apply from Sd card
find folder "0" go to sub folder "carrier"
find India.otg & apply [using power key ]
It takes 10-12 min for reboot .
Now your problem solved
Go to systems update update ur phone
After update u see another update of 41 MB
again update ur phone & enjoy VoLTe

Read on xda that how to back to stock ROM. There are n't any way to Volte ur phone without Stock .

I am not able to find carrier in that file I followed all step.

Tested with BLN-L22 but should work in every Honor 6x model with emui 5
THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR DEVICE TO CHINESE VARIANT!!!
Warning: I'm not responsible if you bricked Your device,loose your warranty while rebranding and updating etc
Downlaod:HWOTA from HERE
Extract it inside local disk C: or Desktop
1. On the phone, make a backup of all data (since during the upgrade all data will be erased). This is an obligatory condition.
2. Unlock your bootloader: (There´s no way around it (unfortnuately), but after the procedure your device will be locked again, so don´t worry!). The device will make a factory reset, so once again, BACKUP your files!!!!!!!!!!
3. Enable ‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
4. You must download three zip-archives:
update.zip
update_data_full.zip
BLN-AL20_update_full_all_cn.zip
5. Add the downloaded files to the folder "HWOTA7\Update" and rename two files same as mentioned below->
- update_data_full_public.zip to update_data_public.zip
- update_full_BLN-AL20_all_cn.zip to update_all_hw.zip
-update.zip don't rename.
6.Connect your phone to PC using fastboot and run update.bat in HWOTA 7 folder,it will ask for unlock code if your device is locked,follow instructions,Reboot to TWRP>By holding power button,when its shows yellow warning hold volume up key it will Reboot to TWRP
7.When its ask for
update from> Using the script
select >change location>BLN-AL 20
It will copy firmware and install everything automatically,just wait for your device to boot
At the end of the process, everything should work fine... Be prepared, the bootloader will be locked after changing the location or firmware as a FullOTA.
8. If suddenly it turned out "bootloop" - go into the stock Recovery and make wipe.
PS: To change the firmware using the SD card, you need to create a folder "HWOTA" on the SD card and copy three firmware archives with the changed names (see above). In the batch file select item 1 "SDCard HWOTA directory"

Bugs Fixing:
Unknown or invalid IMEI:Use any root file manager and go to cust/all/cn/prop/local.prop and edit local.prop change the line full network support: true to false
Sound bug or any other bugs:Flash the whole firmware again using HuRu updater it will completely install the firmware which fixes the sound bug.Follow this guide for HuRu Updater> HuRu Updater

Give me feedback after installing emui 8

List of Roms available in emui8: Elemental rom had fingerprint bug will be fixed in two months.
GSI roms only phhusson roms are working. I'm using this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...-development/experimental-phh-treble-t3709659
list of bugs: some gapps crashes,adb and mtp not working,headphones without mic wont detect but gsi roms will update frequently so these bugs will be gone.
final stock emui8 no bugs you can flash gapps and use it as stock emui8.
be careful with gsi roms. if you accidentally enter into e recovery while on any gsi rom you need to factory reset otherwise your internal storage wont detect.

this stock recovery for emui8 will do factory reset otherwise gsi roms wont boot.

U are using emui 8 now

Which TWRP are you guys using for Oreo? I am aware of the changes in partitions and the recovery_ramdisk. I tried twrp versions for other Huawei phones that are Oreo-ready but couldn't flash magisk (I think it was encryption related).

Yes but i didnt test it,flash oeminfo of bln-al20 using twrp and flash emui 8 full firmware using HuRu updater

No for emui5 to emui8 you need hwota7. Huru is for changing firmwares in emui8 like al10 to al20 . so your gonna need a pc to do hwota7.

Use hwota8 but be careful small mistake will brick your phone. My advice instead of downgrade go to openkirin.net and try los 15. Very stable os than stock and got stock hauwei camera,gapps and good battery backup.
