Cyanogenmod 11 is basically android kitkat (4.4 - 4.4.4).
We all know that it is already ported for our Samung Galaxy Y GT S5360.
Here are some features of android kitkat CM11 :-
1. Kitkat launcher + Status bar.
2. You can download apps which requires android version upto 4.4.4.
3.Forked broadcomCM devices into androidarmv6 repository (forked from ics branches).
4.Initial changes needed for cm-11.0 have been committed to cooperve, tassve, totoro and bcm21553-common device trees.
5.All of Broadcom's code has been adapted for the cm-11.0 branch.
6.After some reverse engineering of the vendor binaries, "adbd" and "init" built from source now work correctly. ADB will now set the 7.proper USB mode, can give a root shell, and no longer has a hardcoded dependency on /system/bin/sh, which should help a great deal 8.with debugging. We also no longer need to use the init prebuilt binary - the source-built version is now compatible.
9.Implemented common kernel source for totoro, cooperve and tassve.
10.Implemented hybrid boot/recovery/charge ramdisk.
11.Fixed WiFi, Bluetooth, Bluetooth tether & mac addresses.
12.Fixed graphical performance regression on CM11 branch.
13.Fixed basic audio (speaker, microphone, software encoders/decoders)

6.It is not stable and it is still NIGHTLY.

Here is first attempt to build LineageOS 14.1 for XiaoMi MiPad
Current state is: mostly working
I finally found solution to fix old mipad stock graphic blobs to load on cm13 and Los 14.1. This build is proof of concept to show it is possible to have Nougat on old good MiPad.
What working:
WiFi (better than 12.1, now using opensource wpa_supplicant)
Sensors (autorotation works)
LEDs
audio including microphone
hardware accelerated video playback
camera
What not working:
audio (currently plays only some system sounds, all other failed because of wrong PCM format)
camera
[*]lineage Music add doesnt play anything (3rd paty players seems to work fine)
[*]windevine drm not working (need updated liibs, to be done in next build)
[*]probably hardware acceleration playback (missed symbols for some omx libs)
[*]not enough space to install gapps into /system partition

Mi Pad by default has 2 /system partition, each 640Mb. It is not enogh to install LineageOS and Gapps. To install 2017-02-25 build and newer you have to merge 2 system partition in one 1.2Gb system partition. To dod this follow instruction http://en.miui.com/thread-118294-1-1.html

If you have problem installing newer latest build, or just to be sure it will install fine check you system partition with DiskInfo app. It should show System partition at least 1337564160 bytes.

On merged system it is enogh space, but now /system in rom configured to match stock /system. Not sure for now if it possible to remove LineageOs stock app like browser and email and free some space or just use bigger /system and require to repartition.

We could do that...remove some unnecessary packages from https://github.com/LineageOS/android_vendor_cm/blob/cm-14.1/config/common.mk with a PRODUCT_PACKAGES -= line in the device.mk.
But asking users to repartition to install gApps is better in my opinion, for future official Lineage support. There could be a check in the updater_script to verify the user has repartitioned.
I am pretty sure there is no re-configuration necessary to support repartitioned /system partitions.
Does that mean CM12 development is dropped?

Lollipop if it comes faster.
If it possible to make los14.1 run stable and sound working it is better to go with los14.1. At least it has upstream support, and some things here works better. I cant make opensource wpa_supplicant working on 12.1, but here it works. Microphone in cm12.1 is also hard to fix, because there is only LD_PRELOAD for lib and microphone require MonoPipe class from 4.4 to work, but it will break other things. On cm13 or los14.1 it is possible to use LD_SHIM_LIBS to fix only broken libs and not break working.
For now I'm trying what cause los14.1 unstable, sometimes it may work for hours, but when it crashed to black screen and buttons backlight it starts endless bootloop.

There's something wrong with mixer paths in this rom. When you disable fluence (echo suppression) for voice calls, setting in build.prop "persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=false", the upper mic remains active and the lower (the main mic) is muted. That's the exact inverse of what it shoud happen (the main mic should remain active and the secondary mic near the IRDA port should be muted). Can you investigate?
(in stock rom and derivates, that setting has simply no effect: echo suppression remains active whatever way the value is set).
Frankly speaking, this is the first rom for this device I'm really fond of. No bloatware, everything working as it should, safetynet passes with magisk seamlessly, NFC is working, etc.

I saw the commit, but the mixer_paths_tasha.xml file is already modified according to that commit in his latest release, and it doesn't work anyway.....
The 4.16 firmware was giving GPS issues so I reverted to 4.06

Are you sure that you applied the latest changes? At me all records correctly (at least correctly it is recording audio in a Recorder, Telegram, Snap camera and a Skype at full disable of noise suppression).

The issue I found is related to regular voice calls. The microphone is fully working in all the other apps i tested, can confirm.
When you disable fluence (echo suppression), the expected behaviour is that the upper microphone stays muted and the lower (the main) should be the only one working.
Using your latest build (without yesterday's commits), only the upper microphone is working during calls (it should be reversed). Applying your commits, either the upper either the lower microphone are working even if fluence is disabled for voice calls.
You can check that behaviour making a call to a friend (with fluence disabled in build.prop), and puffing or blowing alternatively in one mic and the other. You'll notice that with your current build only the upper mic is active, and applying the commits both mics are active. This is not the expected behaviour.

Hi, the rom is perfect and i love it very much, very great work. However, may i know is there any way to increase the volume when answering the call? not on speaker, but it is very hard to hear what ppl said on street, do not mention in the workshop. any solution?
as for gps issue, i noticed that when i was at the outside, it was fine. but sometimes it will drop until lost gps when i get into car.
