This is what happen yesterday when I forgotten my knock code..
After 5th attempt...phone ask me to use biometric...and I accidentally place my finger wrongly on the sensor...the 6th attempt... System no longer give me other option to unlock except compulsory try the knock code....

I think that's all you get.
I was thinking I'd have a PIN and a knock code. But activating the knock code seems to be a "one or the other" choice so it "knocked out" *he he* the PIN. But I still have my fingerprint, voice, and facial unlocks.
However, I have my option ticked so that the knock is required upon reboot, so I gather that that's LG's idea of a master password I'd better not forget! Without it, my finger, voice, or face don't do squat.

I've noticed that you have to knock somewhat slowly. If you do it too fast, it doesn't register and locks you out. Make sure you don't knock more than 6 times when setting it up or else you're bound to forget it.

yup...6 combinations really quite complicated... can't imagine why they take away the master pin option ..
and if you try more than 5 times with wrong knock...they only give you 1 chance to unlock with finger print~.. if you place your finger print on the edge and it didn't capture correctly...u are doom!

How to unlock without using touchscreen??

My touchscreen suddenly stopped working, and I have a lock code on my phone. Is there any way to unlock it with only the keyboard??
This is the lock screen I have:

Try Pulling Your Stylus Out Or Slide The Keyboard Open 1 Of These Should Work!!!

What happens when you slide out your keyboard? It should unlock the phone.
I have a password, sliding out the keyboard only rotates that screen to horizontal, I still have to slide it. I lost my stylus a long time ago, is there any way to trick the sensor?

I don't use a password on mine; sliding out the keyboard brings it out of lock.
Try putting in the password via the keyboard after you slide it open.
BTW replacement stylus are really cheap on ebay or amazon.
Try using MyMobiler - you can then connect to your PC and operate your mob from a PC window.
just throwing this out there
I just had this happen to one of the phones at my office. I could not get past this lock screen (btw this phone is crap). Unfortunately for me and the guy we had to completely wipe the phone to make it work.
Remove the battery hold down the "send" and the "end" buttons and when you are sure that they are sufficiently held down press and hold the power button and get ready with the volume up button just in case the phone decides it doesn't want you to reset it (I did this about 8 times before I could get it to wipe). Once this is done go through the initial setup and enjoydelay banging your head against the desk for a few weeks.
The only downside to this is that everything is gone, the upside . . . you can now use your phone.
that's all I got
Oh yea put the battery back in after you remove it otherwise no dice.
there is also a really good desktop program called mDesktop that interfaces beautifully with the phone and lets you see and interact with the screen using your mouse.. It is also a very lightweight program only exe, no install necessary.

Lock Screen Idea - Straight to Camera with pattern?

I like the idea that the lock screen can take you straight to the camera. But with the standard slide to unlock, I found my phone unlocks in my pocket and calls people.
So, how about being able to set two (or more!) lock patterns - one to take you home, another straight into the camera?
With AOKP, you can do up to 8 different things on the lockscreen (straight to camera, straight to SMS, etc.). Try that out.

Wait...what? How does it unlock in your pocket? The screen isn't nearly sensitive enough to pick up touches on your leg through the pocket lining (unless you're wearing dress pants), but even if it were it doesn't pick up large touches in that way. It shouldn't be able to unlock at all...unless maybe you're leaving open an app that has a Menu button, since that still displays on the lock screen and pressing it once will unlock the phone.
Like the other guy said, check out AOKP. I think there might be a way to set up the combination lock like that.
They should have a little toggle. Something which you tap before entering your unlock pattern, and then it will take you straight to the camera. Something like this:

A small toggle on the lockscreen with the pattern would be awesome. Something similar to what Moto's done on their lockscreen with the RAZR

Unless I'm missing something in AOKP, I think you're referring to the regular unlock method, not the pattern unlock. The OP is curious about having two different patterns with two different launch results.
+1 this is a good idea

Fingerprint sensor question

I just picked up my 10 after having an S7 for a while and I really like it. One thing that I'm still confused about is the fingerprint sensor. I have a pattern setup along with my prints. If I leave then phone for a while and press my finger on the pad I'm asked to input the pattern. Then once I do I can unlock then phone with any finger by just pressing the home button.
It seems to defeat the purpose of having a fingerprint sensor if it always prompts me for my swipe pattern.
Am I missing something in how I have it setup?

that doesn't sound right!
pattern is asked at first unlock after every reboot but only once till you reboot again.... it seems like your fingerprint isn't set up yet? could you share a screen of fingerprint sensor app? and security settings?

I'm using Nova and have a double tap to sleep gesture but I've deleted them both and the issue still is happening. I've also deleted all gestures with no luck

Hi Mpetruzz,
I was about to ask if you use Nova as that is what caused this issue for me.
Do you have any other apps controlling sleep or power saving?
If you allow the phone to timeout after 15 minutes (as per your settings) does it happen then?
What about when you use the power button to lock your phone?
Turns out it was the lockscreen app I was using. Uninstalled it, rebooted and its working fine now.

Invisible unlock pattern

So I got a custom rom, I was playing around with it seeing what works for me etc. Went into the security options and wanted to set up my fingerprint, but I went in to set up the pattern first. Set it up great, its the usual one I have used for over a year. Now, the option to make it invisible caught my eye and I wanted to see how it works. Well, it works nicely, no problem at all with it. But here I am now trying to recreate my pattern at random not knowing where to start ... I have a good photogenic memory BUT I also changed the dpi so now I would imagine its slightly off from where it would normally be.
So, my question being can I 'break in' to my own phone and bypass the pattern or can someone change their DPI to 440 and send a to-scale screenshoot of the pattern lock screen in the comments below.
Im not even mad this is ****ing funny and stupid, goddamn

Doubtful that you can break into your own phone without restoring it completely to stock. Attached is the pattern at 440dpi. Good luck.

Question Hidden apps - third party dialer

Hi!
Currently running LE2123_11_C.44
Using third party dialer Simple Dialer - https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Dialer
I can't access hidden space/apps section when using this dialer. Seems only to work with stock dialer (Google dialer).
When applying secret passcode and dialing it this shows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is it supposed to only work with stock dialer or has anyone a solution for this?
Simple Dialer indeed does what's expected as per the standard: it tries to send the code as USSD. It's the stock dialer that intercepts the code to do something else: this behavior is not standard and is therefore a bad choice by OnePlus.
A11 pinch-out and fingerprint was a nice, clean and fast way to access hidden space: I really hope they'll reintroduce it in a future release.
Edit: what drives me crazy is that this new "secure" way to access hidden space requires dialing a code, which means that dialpad sounds are emitted and can be heard by anyone... and the screenshot of the dialer with the "secret" code remains visible in recent activities list...

Agree! At least to be able to choose for yourself which way to access hidden space.
percent agreed. The worst part is after it runs the code it doesn't get deleted from the dial pad. So next time you open up your dialer your code is staring at you in the face
