So I got a custom rom, I was playing around with it seeing what works for me etc. Went into the security options and wanted to set up my fingerprint, but I went in to set up the pattern first. Set it up great, its the usual one I have used for over a year. Now, the option to make it invisible caught my eye and I wanted to see how it works. Well, it works nicely, no problem at all with it. But here I am now trying to recreate my pattern at random not knowing where to start ... I have a good photogenic memory BUT I also changed the dpi so now I would imagine its slightly off from where it would normally be.
So, my question being can I 'break in' to my own phone and bypass the pattern or can someone change their DPI to 440 and send a to-scale screenshoot of the pattern lock screen in the comments below.
Im not even mad this is ****ing funny and stupid, goddamn

Doubtful that you can break into your own phone without restoring it completely to stock. Attached is the pattern at 440dpi. Good luck.

I wanna request an app. what it does:
You're sleeping and dreaming about your sweet girlfriend etc.
But it's to wake up. Your alarm rings, but you want some more sleep and click on snoze. The problem is, after clicking some more times on snoze you're too late, as all days There have to change something
There's a solution for your problem: PanicAlarm
a morning after you installed PanicAlarm;
You are dreaming again, and the alarm rings again. But this alarm is different, it's very annoying and it's like fire alarm. You do shaking all over your body, and want to hit the snoze button again, and enter the Paradise of Dreams; as all days. But you can't!
You have to type a token before you can snoze your device. But after you have typed over the token you are wide awake!
I hope you'd understand what i mean. in short:
after the alarm rings a window comes up. In the window is a auto-generated serial. You have to type over the serial before the alarm stops
a little hint for the developer:

Try G-Alarm by ageye, it already has that kind of functionality.

Someone could probably make this in a day! I will keep an eye on this thread as i'm currently busy on 100 Push-ups but if no one bothers then I will do it.
You've even done the art work :-D

Has anyone made this app or did the OP give up on the idea?
Cuz I'm bored and could probably take this on and see what I can come up with if your still interested.
Hello, I've got a weird error that I don't even know how to begin tracking down. Not sure if this is an ICS issue, an app issue, or a device (hardware) issue.
Several times now, I get a problem were, after a reboot, all the text on my home screen - names for apps and text within widgets is mangled somehow. Like pixels inverted, or boxed over, etc. (see screenshot)

The first couple of times this happened, a single reboot made it go away. However with my latest occurrence, I've rebooted several times without a fix.
EDIT: It seems like my data connection may also require examination? Since on the 3rd or 4th reboot I was in my office with a solid WiFi connection (versus previous reboots I was in my car en-route), the problem has now gone away again.
My initial reboot this morning was as a quick-fix attempt at an absent data connection. Guess I'm off to research these "radios" everyone keeps on about...
EDIT 2: Ok, perhaps ignore the above. After a reboot made this go away, it has now come back spontaneously (i.e. just noticed it sitting in the cradle with the error again - no reboot this time.) CRUUUUD.
Are you using a custom Kernel? Some 'Overclock' the GPU to 512MHz, while Stock is 384MHz. Some devices can't handle the increase and cause screen artifacts. Post your Kernel details and I'm sure someone will point you in the direction of another Kernel if this is the case.
Not that I know of - should be all stock, since I haven't rooted or unlocked anything yet (just got the phone a couple of weeks ago).
Thanks for the help.
Stock launcher? Or using nova/apex etc?

Hi,
Another thread...:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646985
Nothing related to GPU overclock...just about this possibility...
Looking in different threads in Q&A/General.
If you are using the stock launcher...I think I saw a topic with this weird issue with the stock launcher...but I can not find it anymore
In any case clear data/cache of your current launcher, reboot and see...If you're on another launcher than stock,reinstall...
I speak only for the launcher issue.
Yep, stock launcher. Thanks for the other thread.
Seems to be at bay now. Will keep an eye on it.
hi ! guys today i will share trick to decrease lock screen lag to 80% which is 8 out of 10 tries (not bad ) on default lock screen it is around 40% ~~~
ALL tools are free
STEPS :-
1) download GO Locker from market
2) then download GO Locker Simple RightTheme from market or any locker theme which is less then 600 KB
3) that's it ! now you will get less lock screen lags :victory:
thing to remember ;-
-THIS NOT 100% fix
- don't not change lock screen wallpaper (by changing lock screen wallpaper you will get around 60%)

What a great development. Appreciate your hard work mate. Truly a difficult work.

Nice, will test this out!
Does it work for anyone?
Wake up lag is the exynos chip waiting for the modem to wake up. Changing your lockscreen will not help dude, unless it prevents your phone from going to sleep, which will decimate your battery life.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times people repeat this over and over. Myself included.
I have given up repeating myself and explaining to people that it's the exynos blah blah it can't be fixed without wakeblah blah. Its a loosing battle. Just let them believe whatever they want to beleive, if it seems to make them happy.

Maybe it's considering the fact you're rooted a security threat? That programs meant for a completely secured stock unrooted status and maybe even OEM locked too, yet you mentioned you're not, so.....
So i enabled developers option, OEM was enabled so i turmed it off and rebooted, I'll check in the 2 hrs to see if there's security threat come on again
Thank u

If you're worried about the security threat, flash back to stock firmware and don't root your phone. You'll never be bothered by that threat again.
Oh yeah, visiting too much porn sites on your phone causes a vulnerability too, the system can only handle so many trackers but if you're a frequent visitor to those sites, all those trackers overwhelm Samsungs firewall causing small pockets/holes everywhere, which leaves you wide open, susceptible to attackers or hijackers. The more nudy vids you watch, the more times your IP address and IMEI# shows on the bad guys database. With all the vulnerable holes in your system, as soon as you log on and start watching your fave vid and your pants half way down to your knees. your status immediately shows as open on the attackers end and they can simply with a few clicks gain complete control and full access to your phone. The current trend is that they'll hack your front cam, by then you're playing with willy, so they'll record or remotely take pics of you, yet you'd never know they're even watching. Then will post those pics and vids on their FB and Instagram accts, for all their buddies/followers to rate or comment on. Definitely not a nice thing to do to someone but it sure is pretty funny! Hopefully we won't see you on there...!
I don't use porn websites

Hopefully that won't lol, you're very funny, I tried using different ROM the problem is solved and thanks again you're right though ..
You sound like a know it all pointing fingers at people over porn sites. What if he likes people looking at him while he spanks it ?
Is there a way to have this feature on our phones? I've tried a few apps, but it isn't the same.
Any modules or rooted apps you might recommend will be greatly appreciated ????
If you will leave the phone upright, you can use an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor.gravityscreenofffree&hl=en
Glance Plus is close, but not perfect.
"Always On" on the play store is really good. It is probably the best that I have found honestly with the most features. The developer is open to suggestions as well.
I use Tasker for that. I set it up so when connected to any power, screen time out changes to 23 hrs, 59 min, 59 sec if screen is on. When state is disconnected from power, time out changes back to 1 minute.

You can have the screen stay on when plugged in from developer options
Max OD's TMobile S7 port had the best implementation of AOD I've used, but it was still buggy and annoying...i disabled it straight away. I don't think Samsung has even had it working all that well. Different strokes and all that, but I don't see much point in the feature, makes the phone feel like an LG clamshell from '04.

I tried in on the Noble ROM. When unlocking the home screen, it would stay dark. I understand that's an issue with Dr Ketan's new ROM as well.

Hi
On the Note Edge 915 Noble Rom the screen saturates, like it is a Xray picture... But the AOD works with the fix that has been given in the third post of the Noble Rom. But the display beeing Xray'd isnt nice, so hopfully there will be a fix for this.
