Really dude? That wasn't neither helpful nor nice, he needs help and all you can do is bash the "only english" rule?
Yes I know I'm reviving a dead thread but at least I'll try to help.
harman2,There could be as much as infinite possibilities as to what could be wrong with the phone.
Things to check:
1) does it have an IMEI? to check type *#06# on the phone. Sometimes when someone tries to unlock the SGS they accidentally corrupt the file where the IMEI resides. IF it doesn't have an IMEI don't even try to look for a way around it, you have a pretty looking paperweight. So far I haven't found a way to fix this.
2) If the IMEI is there, it's possible the kernel you're using doesn't recognize the Claro signal. You'd have to try and install the STOCK ROM that Claro PR uses for you to get the signal.
3) If everything seems fine then most likely your missing the APN.
Go to: Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
If Claro isn't in the options then hit Menu > Newk APN.
Name: Claro
APN: internet.claropr.com
Menu > Save
This is all I could think off. Hope this helps in some way.
Cosas a verificar:
I don't think that he reads your post as it's an old thread. But maybe a forum moderator comes and moves/deletes the thread(You know there's a new sticky thread?.
I know this thread is old, but as long as it's still open, anyone can post a comment and anyone with the same problem can benefit from other people posts.
That said, Let's go to the topic.
1. Contrary to what most people could think, not having Claro's or any other carrier signal has nothing to do with APN's. APN's are for data/internet use.
2. I had that same problem when testing different Gingerbread Roms long time ago.
3. The no signal issue was caused by the rom's modem. Sometimes they have certain bands/frequencies turned off by default or even worse, not availabe at all. In my case, the phone was detecting T-Mobile only. I had to check the active bands with *#*#2263#*#* and turn on the 850 MHz band which was off. After that everything worked like a charm.

Hi to everyone, I have in my hand apparently a S3 GT-I9300 because behind the battery says gt-i9300 and in settings/ About device/ Model number say GT-I9300 and PDA, CSC, CP Says I9300ZSALG3 But in Donwload Mode appear SGH-I747, the memory ram show 1.6 GB
I'm gonna show you some pictures of this confusion...
I have to say that i'm want to upgrade this phone to 4.3 but I don't wanna take any risk of brick for bad firmware.

It looks like this could be a i9300 body with a i747 motherboard that someone swapped it out for... Also, never post your IMEI or pictures with the IMEI in it, just for the best.

Saludos

Now in English...
I have almost the same problem but a little bit harder...
In fact I swapped or shifted as you whish the logic board on my dead Samsung S3 I9300 for the logic board on a second hand broken screen one (same model in theory as said the sticker on the phone's back).
The phone woks fine at first trun on but when I do the Fabric Restore this phone only can be connect to Network on band 900 Mhz which is Digitel in Venezuela and only as GSM (2G) with EDGE data connection, as I know the SGH-I747 is capable to work with this bands: GSM Quad-band: 850/900/1800/1900MHz; UMTS Tri-band: 850/1900/2100MHz; LTE Dual-Band: Band 4/17
In Venezuela the networks operators work on this frequencies:
Bands 2G (GSM):
Digitel: 900Mhz
Movistar: 850Mhz
Movilnet: 850Mhz
Bands 3G - "AKA" - (WCDMA):
Digitel: 900Mhz
Movistar: 1900Mhz
Movilnet: 1900Mhz
Bandas 4G - "AKA" - (LTE):
Digitel 4G: Band 3 LTE 1800MHz.
Movistar 4G+: Band 4 LTE 1700/2100MHz ( 1700MHz for upload y 2100MHzfor download)
Movilnet: Band 4 LTE 1700/2100MHz ( 1700MHz for upload y 2100MHzfor download)
To make the long story short... the new logic board have just the same case of Alexdream, after hitting my head on the wall several times I realized that this board belongs to AT&T model SGH-I747 and not to the I9300 as the sticker said, so I do a ROM flash to the stock AT&T Rom I747UCDLK3 (Android 4.1.1) with the same network connection error, and them to AT&T stock Rom I747UCUEMJBfor Android 4.3 same problem too...
Any suggestions to solve this problem?
hey there did u solve your problem. i replaced my board because i bricked and phone board totally dead by rooting and recovery for i9300. now new board says its i747 inside the board (i mean on the board itself) but in about device it says i9300 and in the download mode it says SGH-T999V. i dont know about it but it was rooted with recovery installed (CWM 6). now which roms should i be looking for.
If it says t999 in download, flash t999 roms.

My only question is... is there a way to know that the full image has not been tempered with? I ended up using the one from The Android Soul that I linked to in my thread. Part of me wonders if they could've been modified or not.

Try to doit a full wipe & cache in recovery, im in this update and works fine for me, actually, is better Idle battery, with my other version lost 20%! of battery when i sleep, with this path i only lost 6% during night. Try to write first in english, then you can explain better in spanish.

Hi All,
I have a Note 5 N920A running Android 5.1.1 and build number N920AUCU2AO16. I want to upgrade tyo the latest software which i believe i can from the links posted above (*N920AUCS4CPK1*).
I, however haev one question as this is the first time I am doing anything other than an auto OTA update. Mine was an At&T phone which i purchased in the US on ebay and it was an unlocked one adn i currently use it in the UK with no issues. By upgrading to the latest stock firmware, will i lose the unlocking or has the update nothing to do with unlocking ? Please help.

Hi, you can install whatever version if you use Odin, can skip from lollipop to MM if you want, no problems with that, but some peoples said to this version blocks the bootloader (cant rollback to LL), in my case i had the boodloader blocker after and dont care for me, you can check if you have the bootloader block in the screen of upgrade (odin mode) if said secure download enable your bootloader is block. For me, this version help me to save battery xD so, its geat for me xD.

If you have a factory or IMEI unlock dont worry for lose it, change system not affect unlock, however if you have a home unlock you will lose it, The most certain is that your phone is factory or imei unlock cause i never seen a home unlock for this model, you sould doit whitout afraid.

Not have a way to know it, but for now, note 5 doesnt have a home unlock (except maybe Sprint variant), so your phone is most probably factory or imei unlock, you can actualizate without afraid.

Hi bro, you have donwload this uptade? the files on this post are made for odin (have 4 parts+pit) is not a flashable OTA (flashable zip), this is a complete rom if you want to flash it by adb maybe first you need to convert this on a flashable zip, so, this is a complete rom you can flash from wherever patch you want, adb is most used for some ota's patch (in this case is not only a patch, is a complete rom w/patch), you need use odin this time.

If you have only a patch of 24 mb you can sent it by sideload like ota, but you need to install first the other patch ( need to install all patch from your version of SO to this cpk1) this is in case to you want use adb sideload for actualizate to cpk1 you need install every patch from your version until this (install each patch released from your version to cpk1 in order), but if you dont wanna install any patch you can donwload the files from smxwang (this post) it is a complete rom with all patch. Sorry for my english xD im learning it.
Resume:
ADB sideload used to install OTA actualization, in this case you need to install in release order each one.
Odin ROM used to install a complete system, in this case you can install no matter in which system version you are.
If you want use a sideload you need search all patch released from september to december and install in order, otherwise if you dont have all patch you can use this files to install a complete system no metter if you have your sistem in january, march, july, september, doesnt metter.

Hello everyone,
I am looking for an original OS for two galaxy notes II.
Unfortunately I didn't backup before flashing lineageOS.
Here are the features of both phones:
-Model: GT-N7105
-Band base: N7105AEDMD1 & N7105AEUENA1
I did some research but I only have dead links.
...
I am looking for official versions first and then if I do not have any I would probably put cyanogen.
The reason for all this is that the 4G drops from time to time (MTP stopped) and then resumes 30s later, pretty annoying for guiding in Paris.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Have a nice week end
liens morts -> https://www.phonandroid.com/forum/forums/galaxy-note-2-n7105-roms-officielles-et-custom.1069/

Bon week-end

@audit13 : thanks for the link but i'm not able to download full firmware with low speed -> fail to download with firefox.
Have you another link ?
I have heard that the SamFirm software can check if an existing firmware is available.
I tried but no success with following keyword :
-modèle : GT-7105
-région : XEF (j'ai aussi testé FR/FRA)
And i don't know the following keyword :
-PDA
-CSC
-Phone
I recommend flashing the latest stock firmware to the phone regardless of what is currently on the phone.
Looks like a lot of the older firmware files have been removed from all sites (updato.com, sammobile.com, and samsung-firmware.org).
Hi,
The latest version firmware is compatible with old base bande version ?
I have N7105AEDMD1 and N7105AEUENA1.
I have download with samfirm software a firmware with model GT-N7105 and region XEF (France i suppose).
So the file what i have download have the following name : GT-N7105_1_20170308100739_c563gd0q55.zip
Base band associated are N7105XXSFQA5/N7105OXXFNE1/N7105XXUFND3/N7105XXSFQA5
Is it compatible with N7105AEDMD1 or N7105AEUENA1 ?
So, i have flash with odin 3.13 the smartphone galaxy note II with .tar.md5 (AP option) file associated with GT-N7105_1_20170308100739_c563gd0q55.zip
The phone have been succed the flash.
My problem is the following -> the smartphone is lock in samsung logo and the led bright light blue and passed to deep blue.
Solutions ?
Can i get the firmware of my another smartphone galaxy note II ?
At the beginning, i just want to flash a android ROM and note the firmware, i supposed the phone will be blocked because of the firmware update.
Thanks a lot
Boot into recovery and perform a factory reset.
Flashing the latest stock ROM will also update the bootloader and baseband.

What is "ROM stock" ?
Stock ROM is an unmodified Samsung ROM.
