Hi,
I am currently hesitating between op5t and u11+.
The only dealbreak is that op5t doesn't support adaptor usb-c to hdmi like u11+.
Is there a good solution without lag ?
On the contrary U11+ doesn't have jack port...
this are my requirements :
-snappy phone witout lag
-good camera
-I use my phone for : web, mail, video and note app
What phone should I pick between this two ?
Oneplus
The OnePlus is cheaper and better than the U11 in most things. However, the U11 has stereo speakers that are a little quieter but a bit better quality than the OnePlus 5T's mono speaker (which actually has good quality), and it has better water resistance and storage expansion. Also, while the camera on the U11 is about as good as the best smartphones this year camera wise, save for the Pixels which are on another level, the 5T is a step below that. It's good, but it's not as good as most phones more expensive than $600.

Even if money isn't an issue, save yourself $150 and buy yourself a better phone that doesn't have structural flaws that could possibly cause the phone's catastrophic structural failure, like the HTC U11 does. See JerryRigEverything's durability test of both.

Nah. I pointed out some downsides of the OnePlus compared to the U11, but overall it is a better phone.

i want to buy new phone after nexus 4 so should buy one plus 3 or nexus 6p and why
Oneplus 3. Nexus is quite a bit more expensive and doesn't provide too many goods to make it worth the price.
Wait for the OnePlus 3T (to be announced this 15th november).

Even at the same price I'd still recommend the OnePlus 3. It's more future proof in terms of specs and currently has one of the biggest communities of developers actively working on it. And even if you do decide to stick with OxygenOS, it's pretty damn close to stock Android anyways.

ofc the only benefit of buying a nexus device is that google provides new android version half a year before any other brand and all other devices must wait till source gets released. but other than that the hardware is not good enough. if you are not into high performance games and want allways newest android version first then go for nexus. but you get better hardware for better cost if you go for oneplus ( buy oneplus3 t)

Couldn't have put it better myself
I have both. There are a few things that may sway a decision. The 6P has nougat source and the available 7.X ROMs reflect that. This isn't a shot at anyone developing here, they just don't have it, or even a stock base to work with. If you like back fingerprint scanners you might lean toward the Nexus, if you're like me and don't that would favor the 3. Updates favor the 6 as mentioned already. The 3 is easier to handle without the massive bezels. The speakerphone through the 6 is very loud if need be and can be easily heard over background noise like a TV. In that regard the 3 is not bad at all but is outgunned by the 6 speakers.
For myself I was tired of keeping up two phones and wanted to move to a dual SIM. That combined with the fact that after several backside fingerprint scanners I'm starting to hate them the move was an easy one to make. I don't miss the 6P, it was and is a great device but the 3 is punching well above its cost.

I had the same dilemma, but couldn't get hold of a 6p so went for the op3. Awesome phone with new community builds coming thick and fast. I love mine

Dude you can be a fanboy but don't lie... The 6P has a better camera, screen with dual front facing speakers and that's about it. The OnePlus 3 trump's it in battery life, it destroys it in absolute performance and is much quicker, has much more RAM that can be used without the processor overheating (S810 overheats like crazy, if someone says otherwise, they do not know what they are talking about). The OP3 doesn't snap in half like a cookie when bent, not to mention the fact that the rear glass over the camera cracks extremely easily. The fingerprint scanner is WAY faster on the OP3 Than the 6P. Camera in daylight is better but low light the 6P Is better, but the difference is surprisingly low. For OP, if you are any sort of power user at all and you do a lot of multi tasking or gaming for example, you will have to get the OP3 as the 6P slows down massive as the CPU goes from using the A57 core at 2.0ghz to not being able to use them and going to the garbage A53 cores to do the task which lead to lag and stutter. Not to mention when browsing the 6P is locked to the A53 cores because it'd overheat otherwise and because of this browsing is super slow. Last but not least, the OP3 beats it in audio quality outputted from the headphone jack, it's louder and has wider soundstage while sounding more crisp (you can really notice it in the base) and clean

Both dope phones boils down to (no pun intended) SD810 vs SD820 and fastest updates + source vs delayed updates + source
Personal preference really if updates matter to you go for the 6P if not will not be disappointed by the OP3
I had a 6P and switched to the Oneplus 3. I was sick of carrying an iPhone 6s for work and a 6P for my personal line. The dual sim capability is incredibly convenient but I would imagine not something that most people end up needing. Other than that here are my thoughts:
Speakers: 6P. If only for the placement. Maybe I am holding it wrong but I always seem to cover up my speaker when holding the phone in landscape mode. It sounds just fine otherwise. Most of the time I use earbuds anyway.
Camera: Tie. No real world difference for me. Both are great.
Fingerprint Sensor: OP3. Location is better when it's sitting on my desk, screen side up. It is also much faster than the 6P.
Buttons: OP3. I HATED the volume rocker location on the 6P. I was constantly changing volume when holding the phone in portrait mode and typing or whatever. This really annoyed the sh!t out of me. Also having the volume buttons on the opposite side of of the power button is better in my opinion. The notification slider is convenient, too.
Signal Strength: OP3 easily. I have a T-Mobile sim in sim1 and Verizon in sim2. The reception on T-Mobile sim is certainly better on the OP3. Not the case with the Verizon sim because of band compatability.
Feel: OP3. This thing feels more premium than the 6P...if that matters to you. It's also easier to hold.
Software: 6P. For the speed and guarantee of updates but OP3 Nougat will make this a tie. Nova Launcher though. And I don't care for rooting and ROMs anymore.
Screen: 6P? Yes it's more clear but really the OP3 screen is all I need in terms of size and resolutionw. One thing the 6P has going for it though is a totally flat screen. This makes screen protectors easier to apply without the ring around the edges.
Battery: OP3. Probably due to screen size and resolution. Also probably due to the reception being better. And Dash Charging is faster than Rapid Charging on the Nexus.
If I think of more, I will add to this post.

I don't regret upgrading, the 10 is a solid device with everything done right in my opinion. Excellent camera, best sound, the Snapdragon 820 is solid, with good battery life, teamed up with rapid charging. It's a no brainer in my opinion
I miss the FM radio and IR remote, but otherwise I'm happy with my 10.

No, you still have two speakers, just not both front facing, but I think the 10 sounds better. I agree about the radio app, but there are other ways around that with apps so not an issue here.
What about the screen? Is it good or it's so and so only?

Compared to m8, screen of 10 is way superior, no contest there. Colors are more vibrant due to quad hd. Just think of it this way -htc 10 is the best overall and all around compared to other flagships of its year. When it comes to specific feature other brands may excel but the overall experience with 10 is better imo.

I've read that it's difficult to read the screen in the sunlight but since the M8 is also not very good I probably won't notice any difference. The polarization issue worries me as well since I don't have a clue if my Ray-Ban classic aviators sunglasses are polarized or not.
Since there not a single physical store here in my town (or even my country, Portugal, from all I know) I don't have a way to test it.
No regrets here, have my 10 for a pretty long time now. Only miss the dual front facing speakers sometimes, the 10s are no match for the M8. But the 10 still sounds pretty good. Most impressive upgrade was the camera, best one HTC ever made. All in all, its the better phone, period.
Thank you all for your input. I guess I'll wait for the official announcement of the 11 and then decide but from the rumors I'll be buying the HTC 10
Cheers
I did the upgrade and I´m very happy with the 10. I´m a fan of HTC since the Qteck until now.
My advice? Don´t by HTC!!! Why? Because you live in Portugal and there is no assistance at all.
Conselho de amigo. Nunca tive problemas com esta marca (excepto com a bateria do HTC Diamond) e sempre os encomendei do Reino Unido.
Mas sem assistência de marca vou ter de mudar ..... infelizmente!
in term of holding in one hand M8 is better
no HTC 10 cant beat M8 in term of speakers
HTC 10 does not have anything that called "best". everything is decent.
Yes camera is better on HTC 10.
in term of speed sure HTC 10 will be faster but not a day and night. before I give my opinion, i also have Oneplus 3 in my hand. It blow my HTC 10 away.
I forgot what sot I had on my M8 but HTC 10 has a decent battery life.
If I were you I would wait for HTC U 11.
I'm really happy with the upgrade. The Camera is brilliant on the 10, honestly, it's no worse than the S7 quality wise, it just takes longer to focus. In addition, the screen on the 10 is brilliant, very well calibrated with great contrast for an LCD, not sure where all the criticism there is coming from.
Speed is great, audio through the headphone jack is some of the best I've heard from a phone, especially since there is no background hiss with my sensitive earphones. Fingerprint sensor is underrated, it makes things so much faster.
Speakers are ok, they're just as good in terms of quality but have a notch lower max volume. I personally really like the design and feel of the 10, it's probably the most solid phone I've ever held.
The only thing I regret is batterylife, I've gone from 4-5hrs screen-on on the M8 to around 2:30 to 3:30 on the 10. Quick Charge 3.0 does somewhat remedy this, I got a QC powerbank, but I would still prefer at least 4. Otherwise, fantastic phone, I would see no reason to upgrade to be honest, I didn't even need to upgrade from the M8 besides the camera and screen calibration.
10 is much better just for the hardware buttons instead of onscreen. Much wasted space. I used to think I liked the onscreen buttons but now it just looks useless and ridiculous. I could never go back to onscreen with no fingerprint sensor. I still love my M8 but when I use it I hate trying to unlock it with my fingerprint sensor, forgetting it doesn't have one. the wasted black bar with the HTC logo really makes it look like a design flaw. Other than FM radio and IR sensor, the 10 is much better in every way. I never thought the front facing speakers were all what people crack them up to be. The volume was still lower than other phones. And I actually compared them side by side before buying them, I actually thought the 10 was a tad louder with better clarity. The 10 is a perfect phone for me and get sick of people complaining about no waterproofing and no wireless charging. Both are just gimmicks for me, I never throw my phone in a toilet and if I did I have Uh Oh protection. And my 10 and M8 have had no problems getting wet, not like my Nexus phones did, they would malfunction just from sweating too much. I've owned quite a few HTC phones and have had no manufacturer defects or no reasons to ever use insurance or Uh Oh Protection. Both are well designed little tanks. All the HTC bashing I keep seeing is out of control. It is really messing up a great thing, HTC has been a great company I could never see me switching to Samjunk or iPhone. The 10 is a perfect phone for me but i will be disappointed if the U 11 doesn't build on that perfection and bust out with a new and improved HTC 10. The 10 charges so fast I do not need a wireless charger, plus most people cannot keep their phones out of their hands long enough to lay it down to charge anyway. Plus I would rather drop my phone next to a pool without shattering than drop it in a pool. Either way, Uh Oh protection has got our back.
I really don't get it when people say 10 has a bad or below average battery life compared to other flagships. I am getting an average of 6.5 to 7hrs screen on time on this phone, and this is pure stock android nougat
I came to the 10 straight from the m8. As others have mentioned, I do miss the IR blaster, but I kept my m8 so I just use it as a remote for the bedroom now.
Everything else is perfect, especially since virtually every developer that worked on stuff for the m8 migrated to the 10 as well.
Well after one year of debating with myself I just couldn't bear my distorting top speaker on the HTC one m8, which I otherwise still love, and finally ordered the HTC 10. Should get it Thursday.
I hope I don't regret it, I ordered the glacier silver since I've heard the nicks are not so noticeable. I'm coming from the gunmetal grey on the M8 and don't use a case, just a glass screen protector.
One question, please: I have the in ear headphones Xiaomi Piston 3.0. How do the bundled HTC Hi-res headphones compare? Are they any good?
Cheers

7h of SOT?! I never had more than 3,5h of SOT on any smartphone. On the M8 I had 3h normally but I have auto brightness, wifi, bluetooth and GPS on, and since I dont have Wifi at work I only use mobile data (LTE). Hi there,
My OnePlus One is " dying". Screen starting to come off on the right side, battery going down fast, and sometimes not even charging with the cable pluged in.
I'm looking for a good phone, not to expensive and the Mi6, like the mi5s and s+ seemed right.
Though i looked through the forum and seen there's many threads with both hardware and software issues. For the 3 phones.
So is the mi6 a good phone to buy in all objectivity or should i go for a note 2 even if i don't like the screen, or even a totally différent brand ?
I've been using my mi6 from July and I've got to say it's been a blast! great hardware for the cheap price, software keeps on improving with MIUI 9, and I came from one plus x, boy what a wonderful decision I made

audio is superb, since it has 2 speakers. so music is great and calls are loud
I've been using the Mi 6 since August and it has been great. I haven't had any problems with this phone. The audio quality is great for both music and calls. The camera is also good but I don't use it very often so I really can't judge. I would recommend this phone.
Ah, the Mi 6 is a complete Joy to use! The Ceramic version is very sexy...I sleep with it at night!
The phone is fast, smooth, no problems with Stable Global Rom - except I have to fight to get out to accept Bluetooth sometimes - Camera is excellent in good light and passable in dim, the speakers are almost as good as the HTC u11.
I use both the OnePlus 3T and the HTC u11 and find myself reaching for the Mi 6 by default.
Of course you can't beat the OnePlus for updates....but it's an excellent phone for the price, you won't be disappointed.

Well i got lucky because i found a code to get the mi6 64gb at 300€, though i dont know if it's the ceramic version.
I'll see. I planned on getting nillkin tempered glass and tpu nature case to cherish that phone good
Don't have any problem with mine, really happy to bought it. I'm coming from MI4 and Mi6 is really impressive.
If you like the Mi 6 then you should definitely get it. It was beyond my expectations from the moment I took it out of the box. THAT WEIGHT!
I'll forever be miserable picking up those poxy light phones like the Pixel.
You can feel the quality in the phone. It's like a liquid dream to the touch even in a case.
I only have the glass but I can only imagine the Ceramic is deluxe so you will be happy with either one.
If you like One Plus 5 and you don't mind the jelly screen effect (I've never tested one) then maybe it's more for you.
It's slightly bigger and as mentioned I think updates are definitely more frequent.
MIUI is actually pleasant. People don't get on with it but to me it's the closest to any of the custom ROMs I used on other phones without even rooting.
And yeah there's plenty of ROMs for Mi 6 now.
I hope you're happy with whatever decision!
Hi,
so i want to buy a new phone with a price around 400€.
It has to have an oled display, 80%+ screen to body, and a relatively good camera.
Wireless charging and headphone jack would be nice.
I do not really care about a notch (to be honest dont understand why it bothers ppl because you can ture it off) and a micro sd slot.
This two phones seem kinda similar also the ratings do.
What would you choose?
I also considered the lg v30 but i dont feel like it can hold up to this two. Oh and if the OP6 should drop to 400-450 i'll absolutly take it because it is clearly better but i dont think this is gonna happen too soon
Thanks
only depends when you want or not root and mos your phone
because with rooting the 5T is better in every single aspect
except that the mate 10 has a louder speaker

Timely updates (including security) and community support (longer software support)? = OnePlus
Huawei is miles behind in this matter. But if you don't care about security, new software features and optimizations, then from a hardware point of view Mate 10 Pro seems better.
I have already been ridiculed for trying to compare the 6T to the a50,but the a70 looks to be a better match up
Thinking of changing my 6T this summer
Perhaps for a OnePlus 7,
Any thoughts on the a70
It will be cheaper but is it too big ?

I have already been ridiculed for trying to compare the 6T to the a50,but the a70 looks to be a better match up
Thinking of changing my 6T this summer
Perhaps for a OnePlus 7,

Why exactly are you getting rid of your 6T? It's overall a great device and can easily last you for another year or even more?

Still One plus 6T is best than A70. if u r planning to go with A70 then its not advisable when compared to 6T.

Reasons to go a70
Better display
6.7 inch screen
Bigger Battery,4500mah with 25 watt quick charge
SD card Support
Always On Display
Triple Camera
Better Cameras 32+8+5
32 mp front camera
Not confirmed but probably newer in screen fingerprint tech
Headphone jack
Improved brightness
Fm radio
Lower SAR values(if it bothers u)
One UI has more features but still close to stock
Against A70
Snapdragon 675
No oxygen OS nearly stock
Frequency of updates
OnePlus community
To sum up,thre are definitely reasons to go with the A70 and I'm seriously considering swapping my 6T for one when it comes out here next week. Im not a gamer at all on Android so do I need the Snapdragon 845,not at all.I could use all the features on the a70 though but may well stay with my 6T regardless.

You make some good points and I agree with you. Regarding gaming I know you said you don't play them on the phone, but you shouldn't worry at all, A70 will play all the latest games no problem if you decide to play something. I tried some games on A50 and it had no problems running any, and A70 has even better specs!

Yes I believe this is true, the 675 is a great chip.I used a device with 660 and there was no problems whatsoever, Processors these days are typically great above the 660,
Still on the fence about the a70 though, have been looking at the reviews, many point out issues with the cameras, front and back
Would need these to be great if I'm gonna swap my 6T which has been performing a lot better with Gcam
After much research and scouring the internet for reviews and insight,
I have decided not to go with the a70,although it is a capable and attractive device with many features, there are some downsides that would be too annoying to live with,
Most notably the in display fingerprint sensor which looks like it's first generation tech
And the camera not quite fullfilling it's potential in terms of megapixel stated and lack of stabilisation,
It would not be worth me giving up my 6T for this device,
I will continue to try and find a decent mid range device with good if not excellent camera and features the a70 have,
It may take another year actually but certainly the mid range section is getting better all the time

You're making the right decision I've had a 6T and A70 and the 6T has a much better camera specially in low light which is the real weak point of the A70. Megapixels are just numbers and doesn't say anything about camera quality. The camera and fingerprint sensor are the two weakest points of this phone. I didn't like the fingerprint reader even in the 6T as I found it annoying but this one is even worse and I rely on face unlock and only use fingerprints for authorization in banking apps etc. However screen is better and battery life is much better.

Hi,
So far, I'd call that a really wise decision.
First, display is of course 6.7 inch... But with a 20:9 ratio, it looks tiny compared to the 6.9" of the mi Mix 3 I had before the A70.
Second, I seem to be allergic to AMOLED/SuperAMOLED technology. Display gets a really blue tint when tilted.
Third : battery life is real not on par with what I would expect from a 4500mAh battery.
Fourth : I am unable to use Super Fast Charging and I never had a device charging that slowly in the past 4 or 5 years...
Good I bought this device from Amazon and so can give it back within 30 days...
It is a disappointment, bercause on paper it had everything I am looking for.
Real life sometimes hits pretty hard
Regards.

Yea,seems to be a bit of a disappointment overall for this phone, glad I didn't go for it,shame because on paper it seems ideal
I'm getting great batterytime on mine.
But camera and fingerprint reader is not where it should be for the pricerange.
For example my Xiaomi MI 9 SE is cheaper and camera is way better, and fingerprint reader is also better, but like most in-screen readers it is still slow. But sure it lacks headphone jack and has shorter runtimes with its 3000mAh battery.
Overall the Mi 9 SE is a better phone for less money.

Hi,
Nice statement, but comparing a A70 and a mi9 SE is kind of pointless.
I don't think you can compare a 5.9" display phone with a 6.7" display phone.
Even if the rest is nearly identical.
Don't get me wrong.
I am a great Xiaomi fan.
If Xiaomi would have released a smartphone ABOVE 6.5" AND with a decent SoC, I would have gone for that immediatly.
But the only "phablet" in the Xiaomi range of products is the mi Max 3 (that I currently have) and that one does have a SD 636 and it has really horrible latency when you touch the display.
Regards.

Are you sure you have enabled fast charging in settings? Battery / Settings / Fast Charging With Cable.
Just a thought, mine charges from 10% to 100 % in about an hour and a half.
Do remember that 25w charging is only enabled when the screen is off or the AOD is activated. Whenever the screen is on, even on the lockscreen, it'll be limited to 6w.
