[Q] I am a newbie and i need help

Okay so i bough HTC wildfire 2 hours ago
and i wanna to update it...
so there isn't any offical android 2.3.4 updates
and i founded things called ROM i think that update it
Can you tell me which is the best and most stable and the one that has most features
as far as i saw its this one

do it have speed dial?
do it slow down the phone?
do it add extra features?
and please give me a easy noob friendly guide to do it
since this is my first android phone

the rom which you have seen is CYANOGEN MOD it is of the latest android version 2.3.5 it dose'nt have speed dial , smart dial but you can download other dialers from market .
cyanogen mod is the fastest rom available till date , it is highly tweaked , most customizable , & it is stable too
if you want to install a rom then you have to ROOT YOUR WILDFIRE first , follow this thread where rooting & other instructions are provided http://bit.ly/eQuR3M

EDIT : first check your HBOOT
1.switch off your phone
2.keep pressing down volume button & then press power button
3.now u can see your hboot version
4.to exit select fastboot(use power key) then select reboot(use volume down key )then press power button

[Q] Samsung GT-I5510 Galaxy 551

I need a copy of the U.S Samsung Galaxy 551 (GT-I5510UGKC5) Firmware with the CSC/.Pit files if anyone has these i will be grateful.
I cannot find it anywhere, all i can find is the Arabic/Turkish/Asia ones found on samfirmware and various other sites.
Please help me!!!!!!!
NOTE: i think that is the proper pda but i dont know it off the top of my head and i dont have my phone with me

Is a new ROM but can any one help solve the hardware layout keyboard with this ROM??
instead of appearing the question mark shows the letter ä with two dots on top
this is not only there are others. the keyboard has to be the portuguese

use the web button on left of space key... i have the same issue n this button is worked as ? key

[q] how to enable 3g in wave 525?

is there any way to enable 3g in wave 525 "permanently" just like wave 575 0r wave 578?
it can be done by porting 575's 0r 578's firmware to 525, but how to port?

As You Know Samsung Wave 525 (GT-S5250/GT-S5253) Both Have 2.5G...
Here,You Can't Activate 3G But You Can Enable 3G icon ( with Roaming icon ) on your device...
Follow These Steps:
1.Go To Your Keypad & Type *#7092463*#
2.Then Go To 4 Module Settings
3.Go To 1 Common
4.Go To Option 1 Test mode
5.Enable That Check Box Of Test Mode
And Its Done
For Reverse :
Same Procedure & Uncheck That Test Mode
Your Device Will Get Restart .. You Will Get It As It Is.

[Q] Unfortunately, S note has stopped

Since I updated my Note 2 “N7100” to android 4.1.2 stock rom through ODIN two months ago, I see this message every time I try to open S note and also upon starting up the device “Unfortunately, S note has stopped”
The only thing I can do is When I call someone and I pull the stylus the Mini S Note open and I can write whatever I want in the mini note and save it but after that I cannot open it gain, actually I cannot see it gain
After rooting the device I tried to uninstall S note then flash it again through the recovery “I grab the source from XDA forum” but it didn’t help
I google this problem in the web and I found some threat here mentioned that the solution is as following
Setting>Language and Input>Samsung keyboard setting>Handwriting>Input language, then I should install any language and that will fix the problem
But when I entered the “Handwriting” There is no “Input language”, I have only the following inside the Handwriting :
Recognition Type – Recognition time – Pen Thickness – Pen colour – Gesture guide – Tutorial – About
That’s it no “Input language” inside the ” Handwriting”
I only find the “Input language” when I first entered the Samsung keyboard setting but not inside the ” Handwriting”
I also tried to restore factory setting but also it didn’t help
I know there might be a similar threat for this problem here but all of them didn’t work for me
Can anyone help me to make the S note come back to life

go to settings --> language and imput --> samsung keyboard --> select input lsnguages
select a language to download than mark it (don't forget this step)

I Did that again now
I download some language and mark it but it didn’t help
I Also updated some language and mark it but also it didn’t help
I have swiftkey keyboard installed and I unchecked before doing anything to samsung keyboard but also didn’t make any different !!!!
I also restarted the device but nothing new

try with factory reset
or do a clean install

I already make a factory reset and it didn’t work
But what exactly do u mean by clean install ??

there's a new s note apps on Samsung apps (store). just go there, click update. but note that its not really an update. you'll actually be installing a new S Note apps (yes, you end up with two S note apps after that). but you'll be prompted to import files from your old one.

hi... sorry for the late reply.
when you login to Samsung apps store from your note 2, it should prompt you to update. that is the case for me... not sure if that helps...

Tips, tricks and codes, more or less visible

Here are some codes, tricks and tips to enter hidden (or not so visible) menus or functions. Gathered from the net. Discovering them was not my merit, I just centralize them, with help of my friend asotmike.
1. Press repeatedly on Android version (Settings, About phone) to see the hidden surprise
2. Press repeatedly on kernel version (Settings, About phone, All specs ) to enter CIT menu
3. Press repeatedly on Internal storage (Settings, About phone, All specs) to enter Phone Info menu
4. Press repeatedly on MIUI logo (Settings, About phone) to activate and see more update settings (in the 3 dot menu, up, right)
5. Activate VOLTE and VOWIFI menus, they will apear in Settings, SIM cards & mobile network, under sim card settings . Dial *#*#86583#*#* for VOLTE and *#*#869434#*#* for VOWIFI
6. When lantern activated and phone display is off, no need to unlock to close lantern. JUst press power button.
Tested under MIUI11, global (european) variant.
Please feel free to add new codes.
I don't know what does every single submenu of submenu of submenu. Test them at your own risk and curiosity and share with us.

There is.
Either use a Magisk module available on the telegram group called default miui apps or drastically flash Indonesian global Rom which has those by default. You can have further details / discussion in the thread called Call Recorder.
