So I have been using 4.1 on my Gnex for the past couple of days (Outside the US).
Installed Play Movies and Google Earth from US market using market enabler.
I am unable to see or open these apps even though they are installed on my phone.
I even got an update for play books.
The open links in the play store have disappeared and the apps are not shown in the drawer either.
I can confirm they are installed and the issue only affects 'US Play store only' apps.
Highly disappointed, anyone else facing this issue and any solutions?
This is not an ussue..
Where do u live ? I live in Brazil and google cannot sell books here yet, so the app doesnt work

Everything working fine in UK
I'm in India, i understand not being able to use services not available in the country. But i'm not able to see or open the app. Even Google earth seems to be affected by the issue.

I am in India too, and I managed to install the Play Books and Play Movies app through the Google Play website. I was also able to install Google earth.
In Play Books and Movies, if you click the market button, it just takes you to the apps store and not to the respective app sections though..
Found a fix!
Not sure why none of you are facing this issue but I tried stock 4.1 and awesomebeats.
Anyway I noticed the apps that were invisible in the drawer were highlighted blue in titanium backup. I selected the "Defrost" option for each in titanium and those apps are now available. Thanks for the replies guys.
I had the apk from my tf300t and figured I'd give it a shot. Installed and working perfectly using Boat Browser. Haven't tried other browsers as yet.

I just wanted to share it because the only other available guides for installing Flash for our devices that I've seen seem to involve a lot of unnecessary steps/videos/ad-based links, popups and even dead ends.
This is just a simple straightforward apk download and install.
Hope this helps.
I just downloaded the latest apk from their archives, and installed it as a normal app. Works perfect. You can keep current with this site. Just check once in a while to see if there was an update:
Just scroll down to "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives"

Even better. Thanks man.
Now that you pointed me there, I'm seeing my post was less than helpful. I really mostly misunderstood the guides that I followed. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.

Sorry for my ignorance but those chrome use a different player? Is it worth it to switch browsers to have flash?

Chrome uses HTML5, and native codes to play videos. I've been able to play all videos in Chrome that only used to play in other browsers that needed Flash Player. It's a toss up now for me. If you like Chrome then use it. If you find a site that won't play videos then at least you can fall back to another browser that can use Flash Player like Firefox.

Yes. Just note if you're on anything before 4.1 you can just install from the Play Store. 4.0 is the last official version supported, but it still works even on 4.4.

So I love chrome for its open tab and bookmark syncing, but it's just unusable on my N7. Constant freezing and scroll lag. Tried multiple roms and kernels and still a no go. Tried a few other lately and seemed to have settled on lightning browser. What about everyone else?
I love this tablet but not being able to easily browse the web is driving me insane.
I use chrome and Firefox

Strange, because I don't have any problem with chrome here...
Chrome, no problem.
Dolphin (because it supports Adobe Flash)
I am using Firefox beta with uBlock and noscript. Dolphin was really great but I ditched it when it was found out that all your browsing urls were relayed to some dubious third party server. It is now fixed they say but who knows.
#NoChromo, but not for every day use.

Has anyone found a really good gallery app that works well with the Pixel?
I don't like Google Photos and I tried using Piktures but it causes issues when i try deleting images.
Is anyone able to get the new Samsung Gallery from the S7 working on the Pixel?
Thanks
I use QuickPic, have for years.

This is the AOSP gallery app. Works well on my Pixel XL
Play store just search gallery and its the first one 4.3 stars it's amazing! Try it you'll thank me later
APP name: Gallery, from Fayvr Media Ltd.
Called MyRoll Gallery before, and the only disadvantage is the ad. Sometime it's annoying.
I use HTC Gallery
Another vote for QuickPic. I've been using it for years and it works great. Even on folders with thousands and thousands of pictures in it.

I was actually looking for that.
Used to have it on my HTC 10 and was pretty happy with it.
Thanks everyone!
Samsung gallery is the best but sadly not installable in other brand phones
I use camera roll. I think it's good.
QuickPic is from Cheetah Mobile which is a untrustworthy company isn't it?
I don't have an issue with google pictures personally. what are people's problems with it?

It wasn't always the case. There's a resigned version of the app in the XDA forums which will block the updates to when CM acquired Quicpic.
Did the Latest Google update change your default music player to youtube (music)? Now when I ask it to play a song it keeps trying to play it in Youtube Music. I uninstalled it and it tries to play it in youtube. I think Google is trying to force us over now.

It's definitely set to Google play music. If I ask it a song that's not been uploaded to my library it used YouTube music if it's in my library it'll play from Google music. Happens on my OnePlus now to.

Maybe it hasn't rolled out to you yet. There only thing I've done so far is update YouTube music with the one that is supported in Android auto

But I don't think it's the YouTube music update because when I uninstall it, Google voice commands just redirect to regular YouTube. Oddly if I say play my thumbs up playlist it'll play from Google music.
So I think I figured it out. So I subscribe to Google music but it's on my family account which is on my phone but not the primary account for Google Assistant.
Looks like Google made a change where the primary account in Google Assistant can't share the subscription service of a secondary account on the phone so by default it'll try to play it on YouTube music/YouTube.
The reason why I don't like using YouTube music is because sometimes it will play a crappy quality version of a song that was pulled from some old music video.
