*Updated January 8th, 2018 --Sailfish OS alpha3 is out! thanks to elros34 for fixing everything, it is officially perfect!*
Notes
1. Wipe EVERY PARTITION EXCEPT FOR MICRO SD when installing KKBL roms, it was the only way they booted up for me.
2. Praise Rahimali for backing up so many roms to his Mega drive and sharing them with use! He has revived more dead roms then I can count, and has brought back Lollipop to JBBL devices!
3. lem22 has provided a firmware center link for the 201M/XT902. Thanks lem :good:
4. FORMAT /data TO F2FS WHEN USING NOUGAT ROMS!!!
5. Let's all take a moment to praise DiamondJohn for single handedly bringing Nougat to the Razr M
6. Certain CM12/12.1 roms will bootloop if you install certain apps. This includes Spotify, Paypal, and maybe more. Just use MM or AOSP based L roms
7. KKBL roms are known to cause issues on this device and it seems every rom is culprit of the bootloop bug. hernandezjonathan21 has narrowed it down to the CMTE but from my personal experience every single KKBL rom is just unstable and it seems to vary from device to device.
8 I DID NOT MAKE ANY OF THESE ROMS!!!!
Some real quick background: msm8960 roms work on our RAZR M, but the front camcorder is broken on them. Basically anything labeled as “Unified” Shouldn’t be used if you need the front camera. PM me if you have questions/revisions/a backup of an old dead rom. Finally,
XT90x = Droid RAZR M only, this includes the XT907, XT905, and XT902* (*I think, the're very few posts referancing the XT902/201M so please forgive me if I'm wrong)
XT907 = American VERIZON RAZR M
XT905 = Australian RAZR M
Xt902/201M = Japanese RAZR M
msm8960 = Atrix HD, Photon Q, Droid RAZR M (and all it's variants), Droid RAZR HD (and all it's variants)
JBBL = Jelly Bean Boot Loader, self explanatory, Stock ICS had this BL too
KKBL = Kit Kat Boot Loader, also self explanatory.

Thanks for this list! I was really starting to get frustrated with all the dead links throughout the forum! But you saved me the headache.
I can confirm that Cyanogenmod 12.1 5.1.1 is working pretty stably (so far) on KKBL.
I might switch over to Mokee later though, since this was my last daily driver and was quite good.

thank you, the CM12.1 file was driving me crazy and I didn't feel like testing it. No problem, something to kill time while I work on my next RAZR M project...

Does GSM work? I'm on CM11, and I want to know whether or not it is worth it to update.
I use Verizon/cdma, sorry. But don't do it. Shortly after positing I ended up getting endless launcher FC's. Both with Trebuchet (default installed launcher) and with other ones that I installed...
So its not very stable afterall.
At least that was my experience. Trying other roms now.
For some reason I cannot get wifi to work on my JBBL rosms. And none of the KKBL roms work reliably.

That's weird, I unlocked on .15 with sunshine and NONE of the KKBL roms boot up, and all the JBBL roms work fine except every time I power it on the screen flashes static for a split second. I hate the whole KKBL/JBBL thing, how come none of my other devices were like this? GRRRRRR
Tell me about it man. It's a shame that all these mirrors for roms are down too. At this point I'd even kill for just a working modified stock KK rom. But after ****ing with it for 5 days I figured it was time to stop beating a dead horse. Just live with this as stock until my Moto X Pure replacement comes in.
Hopefully you all will fare better.
And, ninja, did you wait long enough? I noticed that some of these roms (especially KKBL roms) will sit at the "Unlocked Bootloader" image for upwards of 30 minutes before showing the rom logo. Pretty annoying.

It would just boot and boot and boot, cyanogenmod 12.1 just sat at the boot animation for 20 minutes before I decided "**** it" and jumped to JBBL.
Edit: Have you tried Sunshine Bootloader unlock? It's 25$ but it does work. Cyanogenmod 10.2 or 13 beats the mess that was Stock KitKat any day.
I have a few ROMs backed up in my Mega and AFH folders if you wanna link to them. I'm not a dev so none of this is my work.
I had a ton of KitKat ROMs both KKBL and JBBL on my laptop but I forgot to back them up and now my laptop is no more
I'm using one of the OrenRaviK LP ROMs on my phone right now. @DiamondJohn, this guy is a dev from 4PDA and his ROMs are self built from source, not ported from another device like ilichva's ROMs. If you can get this guy on board he might also be able to help with continued development. Maybe @ilichva can help contact him since I've never been able to register an account on 4PDA

Huh? what ever gave you the impression I was from 4PDA On every post it says i'm from Sydney, Australia.
And on the side, you wont "get me on side" (but maybe off-side if your not careful ). I basically build for myself, and share because i know how crappy it is without new & better firmware(1)(2). But If I lose this phone, its all over.
----------------
(1) and maybe originally I thought others would help me test it more thoroughly than myself
(2) I also thought another dev may jump-on and help

I think I'm being very badly misunderstood here
I know you're from Australia. I didn't imply you're from 4PDA. What I was trying to say is that there is a developer on 4PDA called OrenRaviK who has built his own for-personal-use CM12.1 ROMs from source.
If you, being a developer, could request ilichva to put you in touch with OrenRaviK, maybe the two of you could cooperate on future developmental, share ideas, that sort of thing...
I don't get the part about "get me on side" or "get me off side"

They are a brilliant resource to help specifically with LineageOS build issues (but the time window is important).
Also, get help on the thread

Both of these helped get me to where I am today.

I'd help you with development, except
1: My lineage build environment is broken and I'm scared of going over our internet limit (1TB a month)
2: I am inexperienced
Give me step by step fool proof guide for building for xt907, and we are in business my friend.

You basically build for an XT897. I followed this https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/xt897/build#download-the-source-code as my starter. Expect around 50GB of source code download.

If possible, please provide logcat so I can investigate!
Hi everyone, I compiled CyanogenMod 10.2 (JellyBean 4.3) for armani
The reason I built this ROM is because I couldn't find a "AOSP-ish" JellyBean ROM for armani.
It should be stable as it uses proprietary binaries from the stock ROM & official Xiaomi Kernel sources. But I can't guarantee.
The build is based on the stable branch of CyanogenMod 10.2.
ROM is compiled with Linaro 4.8 and Kernel is compiled with Linaro 4.9 for maximum smoothness.
Please test and report problems as I don't have this device. I will try and find a solution if things are broken.
Hence why I said I can't guarantee how stable it is because this is UNTESTED
Flash at your own risk!!
ROM may be UNROOTED because the target build is user (instead of userdebug), so DO NOT FORGET TO FLASH SUPERSU zip
Instructions:
0. Make sure that you have a custom recovery (I highly recommend TWRP)
1. Wipe Data
2. Flash the ROM
3. Flash Gapps
4. (optional) Flash SuperSU if you want root
5. Enjoy

FAQ
Why is it unrooted?
Because the target build is 'user' instead of 'userdebug'. 'user' disables few debugging modules and it will improve performance a bit.

How long you guys been waiting?
Could you guys provide a logcat?
Sorry for the inconvenience, I don't have the device right now.
couple of minutes and I don't have the rom now.. deleted it after trying 3 times.. i flashed rom+gapps+supersu at first.. then rom+gapps and then again only rom at last try.. so it's definitely the rom..

I'm sorry, thanks for trying.
Anyone willing to give me a logcat if possible?
Sorry i m a noob , how can i give you a logcat ?
I install first rom than gapp, after only rom but in same case bootloop.
I use on linux adb command "adb logcat" when the terminal in bootloop but in the terminal there is :"waiting for devices "
Sorry for my bad english.
I guess it means the kernel failed to boot.
Something's wrong.. I've built ROM twice for Nexus 4 and Xperia L but never had this problem..
Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend so I can only continue working on this ROM on Wednesday.
If anyone knows what the problem is please PM me or reply to this thread.
DL link will be kept alive so people can continue investigating.

My friend CM11(kitkat) is faster than previous jellybean version. whats the use of using old builds with less security and apps are too mentioning kitkat & above as requirements. I have been using android since the days of doughnut, eclair, froyo, gingerbread, icecream sandwich as android os. nothing beats kitkat in smoothness and app stability. Try your mind to focus on new builds instead of old ones bro

why to use jb when u have mm ?? n jb is not safe regarding security as well!!!
Sir I think this could be a good rom in dualboot with others or as a primary daily driver or (it's my best thought about this rom) as multimedia rom because the MIUI V5 has the best camera and audio performances so there would be the possibility to port camera libs and app from MIUIV5v56 global(latest stable global MIUI V5 build going by what I know) and music libs and apps and also mixer_paths.xml and other audio related files, who agree?!

First impressions: good rom! Super fast and feels solid! But I can't use it as I can't receive calls which I need.
Also:
- No NFC
- No hardware lights
I personally would prefer the option to diable hardware lights and keys and enable the android function keys. Keep up the good work for our phone

es in the future ..
i'm gonna try this on my LS970... I hope it works....
Update January 2 2016 :
I downloaded and tried the 5.1.1 version and the 6.0 v2 version and tried the 6.0 version first.
On the 6.0, ROM functions seem to work properly, however, just like with other 6.0 ROMs, I'm getting no reception on my LS970. It's a great ROM and a lot cooler (in terms of phone temperature) than other 6.0 ROMs I've tried before, even during heavy loads.. However, since i get no reception on this version, I can't use it as a daily driver. Thus I flashed the 5.1.1 version
On the 5.1.1 version, everything works, and I get a very good reception! I've been using it for a couple of days now and I must say I'm impressed. Battery life is even better then the time my phone was on 4.4.4 version of Liquidsmooth! Temperature was also cooler than other 5.1.1 ROMs I had before. I'm using the 5.1.1 version as a daily driver at the moment, until the 6.0 can be used as a daily driver.
Thank you @ChiKaLiO

@ChiKaLiO, What do you think caused the issue of no reception when I use the 6.0 version on my LS970? If you have any thoughts on how to work around it, I'm more than willing to give it a shot.
I've had some random reboots on the 5.1.1 but it's app specific so I'm sure it's just an app compatibility issue, I'm loving it!
Wait for the next release this is a test version so.. :* thnx xd u r the only one encouraging me [emoji14]

Many ROMs have lost functionalities of the note 2. Some son have HDMI out . I have tried resurrection remix the mm and the nougat . the nougat has no xposed .
The eclipse was my previous ROM I think I would go back to eclipse until RR team fix their nougat
I'm also looking for a good rom for my note 2 (4.1.2)
based on my searches, since there isn't much differences between marshmallow and nougat, I think DITTO NOTE 7 FOR NOTE 2 (6.0.1) is a good option too
I don't which is more stable: DITTO NOTE 7 FOR NOTE 2 or ResurrectionRemix v5.8.3
any help?

Ditto note 7 is a kitkat rom not mm. No touchwiz rom can be on mm, rom makers just add mm platlogo mod to thier rom so the android version is shown to be mm(as thier rom is mm style, they modded the platlogo to mm as well)... And here you have to decide weather you want touchwiz or aosp.
For me , eclipse is better than ditto note 7. Although i didnt tried dn7 but after watching some videos on YouTube i think that dn7 is purely based on theming ,the base is old dn4 . You can also see the original dn4 in some apps as theming is not fully applied. I used eclipse for about 2-3 months and was really impressed by its battery life and looks of a modern samsung touchwiz. Maybe dn7 would work good but not as good as eclipse.
And Resurrection remix is not in good condition as it has not been updated for a while and have some bugs. So i recommend Xenon hd or nuclearom or AiCP . These have been the top players for note 2 recently as they are being updated very frequently.
Aicp is updated everyday(nightlies), XenonHD got an update yesterday and nuclearom was about a week ago. For me xenonhd got best the battery life, aicp has customizations (like rr) and nuclearom is most minimal .
Thats all i had

Thanks Gurkanwal for your valuable information
I just got more confused with new options!
I think I would prefer a touchwiz rom (more like a real Note) but I do want a "stable" rom, so it seems the options are between eclipse & dn7
based on what they've written on their website, dn7 has only a problem with radio sound
did you have any difiiculties with your eclipse rom?

What is your the best custom rom for e975?
Nitrogen OS 7.1 is a very good rom, stable and battery economy. I used it over two weeks and have not noticed any problems, but nougat does not support xposed yet
I use Resurrection Remix M which support xposed, but rom does not development now.
I am looking for the best stable custom rom and battery economy, not perfomance, long battery time

Great rom, I've recently returned to a stock rom with my own personal tweeks. From memory I had difficulty getting 4g/lte on artmod. Would certainly suggest giving it a go to make up your own mind. After being on m and n builds for a while the battery and camera on stock is amazing. Not having all apps available is challenging (eg those designed for m and n).
I am looking to upgrade my p607t from lollipop 5.1.1 to either {RR-N-v5.8.4-20170808-lt03lte-Unofficial} or {lineage-14.1-20170816-nightly-lt03lte-signed}.
I would like to get some opinions..... which one do you prefer? I like what i hear about the customization options from RR, but I am concerned about the unofficial version, and how easy/difficult it would be to update it as necessary. I was also wondering how the battery life and stability compare.
Thanks all
RR unofficial has the same few bugs as Lineage unofficial, as they are from the same dev, Lineage official is said to be in a hardly useable state.
