No Custom Kernels - Moto G5 Questions & Answers

Why is there no custom Kernels which we can use on our Cedric Moto G5's. Plenty of Nougat ROMS though to use the kernel on. ?

Custom kernels?

What is the best kernel in you're opinions, for Android 8.1 Kernels? I used to use Elemental X Kernel for LOS / Custom ROMs, but I don't see it in the website anymore.

I'm not sure what happened to it from his website either, but for LOS 15.1...
http://elementalx.org/kernels/OP3T/8.1.0/CAF/
His Kernel is unified for OP3 /3T.
I use Caesium with LOS 15.1:

Please comment in english ! I am just beginner and I compiled stock kernel 15.1 for oreo but unable to get flashable zip. Phone is booting well and works smooth on lineage os 15.1 with stock kernel 3.10.108 and battery back up also decent. This technique can also be forwarded for pie rom but wifi error still there(wifi not getting on..)....still working on wifi issue...and also need help from a good developer to know how to flash oreo and pie kernels. i will release update once i got stable with oreo and pie roms:good:
until then If you are using pie ROM and want that pie kernel to boot on enforcing mode let me help you.:good:
What changes i can observe after updating kernal?

kernels are compiled directly from lineage source on date 21-oct-2018. Completely stock values. No features added to the kernel. Just made the kernels to boot either on on enforcing or permissive mode.:good: Battery life and volte depends on lineage sources (good or bad) and it is nothing to do with the compilation( just compiled from the source )

best kernel for lenovo p2

Hey guys please help me by choosing the best kernel to install for lenovo p2, I actually don't know anything about kernel stuff. Just send me the link of the best one I will install it. Thank you in advance
Kaha ka mal maara hai vai? Name a kernel which exists for p2.
There are no custom kernels for Lenovo p2 in Android pie which you can install.
You can only install custom roms with custom kernels build into them.
SilverCore Kernel is present in Liquidremix and CrDroid.
You can extract the boot.img and flash it on other pie roms like aex. It works just fine for now.

Can u share extracted boot.img
Should we directly flash the boot.img or is there any process to follow to get the kernel in ROM ?

On custom GSI's they have yet to work, and they will probably never work under KVT. 64 bit roms? For oreo there is PE, LOS, RR and a bunch more. For pie for now there is only LOS 16.0 and AEX 9.x
