Hello!,
My nexus 5x was working fine on 8.0
I had it in my pocket and the next time I take it out the screen was black and it is totally unresponsive.
What can I try to fix it?
Today it worked again, it had no charge but responded to the charger and boots up like normal.
It seems like it is slow with taking a rapid charge.
Should i do anything ?

I was using my nexus on facebok last night with a virtually full battery when fb stopped responding and a few seconds later the phone just switched off.I tried to restart it it but it would not come back on.I tried al combinations of buttons to try and reset but still nothing.I plugged the charger in to try, nothing.I left it on the side board,I forgot to leave the charger in all night.got up this morning plugged it in the charger and it turned on,left it for 5 mins unplugged the charger and it turned itself straight off again.I have a feeling that my battery has just instantly died, the phone is only about 3 weeks old at the moment.I will be charging it for a few hrs and see if it will come back alive.Fingers crossed it will. Its strange to go from a full battery to off in an instant.
Err did you try to pull the battery when the phone originally crashed.

I didn't pull out the battery as i didnt think it was nessasary. After a few hrs charge it came back on but it is worrying that this could have happened to such a new phone
This happened to my first nexus. Totally just randomly died.
I returned it as faulty.

Basically what happened was that when your phone "died" it actually stayed on but became unresponsive. Because you just left it for the whole night it drained the battery dry which is why you found it like that the next day.
Anyway next time when your phone crashes just do a battery pull and it should fix itself. The crash seems to be a common ICS bug and a few people have reported it. (including me) Hopefully Google fixes it soon.

it's not just because it's a nexus. it's been an issue with various android-based phones over the years. granted, not a common one... just somehow something 'screws up' and you have to do a battery pull to reset the issue.
I've run android for a while now and have had various lock ups, but this was totally different. It actually locked up and turned off and no matter what buttons for reset or just a normal boot would do anything the battery was totally flat and only a charge would do anything.i could not even boot into recovery as it was flat. Its going back fire a replacement in the next few days
One thing I have noticed since it happened is the battery life has gone terrible in that it is draining very very quickly yet nothing has changed on my phone

I experienced this too yesterday. I was on call with headset and I had USB plug. Suddenly phone call ends and phone was dead. I have unplug from USB and pull battery.
Mine did exactly this while on charge last night. Pulled the battery and it fired up straight away. Second time its crashed since i got it. My iphone 4 only crashed once in the 18 months i had it. Guess android isnt as stable yet.
Happened to me yesterday, and then wouldn't charge. Did a battery pull then put it on to charge. When I got it back on checked Battery temp and it was 45C I think that was the issue. after half hour it was down to 31C.
Omg.. something like the G2X random reboots?
I just experienced the same problem. Using my phone and it just went black. First thought was to try powering it on. No luck. Second thought, pull the battery. No luck. Went back to my desk and plugged it into USB so it would charge. No indication it is charging. Tried turning it on. No luck. Leaving it for an hour or more and will see if that does the trick.
Googling to find this thread I actually found dozens of threads on various sites talking about this issue. Hopefully it is a bad batch of devices and quality control has rectified the situation.
Anyone have any successful resolution to this issue? I've been using my phone for around a month now.
I have a 32G Nexus 7, one of the first of the 2013 units.
So far everything has been great, but as of late I have been seeing reboots while it is sitting on the Qi charging pad.
(The pad is the Samsung unit.)
No case on it, no reboots during the day that I've seen at all, and not happening every night, but it's becoming annoying due to the bright screen right next to the bed. (It's my alarm.)
Has anyone else seen this happening?
rebbots while charging plugged with original charger

Im just had 2 reboots while charging whit the standard charger. All im unning apart the standard background processes is pocketcast and malwarebytes.
Yes, I see it regularly. The tablet only reboots when it's plugged in (using the stock charger). Doesn't matter time of day, safe mode or not, it always happens randomly when plugged in. I also have the 32GB from one of the launch batches and this is my second one.

So after trying safe mode and clearing the cache, it seems that a factory reset has fixed my issue. I'm reinstalling my apps a few at a time, as I now suspect one of them is the culprit. If I find out which one, or if Google responds to my bug report submittal with an actual answer, I'll let you know.

Mine does it every day or so.
Irritating, but not damaging.
Hi all,
It's my first times posting on the forum so please don't eat me be cruel if I'm doing something wrong.
So I haven't been using my nexus 7 for about the past month and today I went to use it and nothing happened, so I put it on the charger assuming it was the battery was flat and about 30 seconds after plug the notification light started to slowly blink so I assumed all was well. Anyway, long story short, After 6 hours of having it on the charge the screen hasn't powered on and I swear I heard the battery low chime a couple of times. Anyway if you guys have any idea's to fix this that would be great!
Cheers!

If the led blinks when plugged in, it indicates that the charging circuit is working. But from 0%, it takes an overnight charging with some to get enough juice. If it still wouldn't budge, the battery is dead. You won't get any display. Replace the battery might be your only option. Good luck.
Hey guys,
first of - sorry if this is oftopic.
I notice heavy charging issues on my g4 intl. The phone just won't charge probably.
I'm running on the latest cyanogenmod nightly, everything else works fine.
Cyanogen says "slow charging" even when I plug in the original cable, or a quick charge wallplug. With all micro USB cables everything is fine for a week or two, but after that everything repeats again.
It seems like the phone cuts down the input power to 300 milli amps or so, while "charging" the battery percentage is going down sometimes, too.
When the phone is off and plugged in, the charging is slow too.
But sometimes everything is fine for a charge or two.
Does anyone have the same issue or have a solution?
Greetings from germany
Okay I found some guys talking about this here, but is there any final solution for this?

It happens to me too, stock ROM, cm13, aosp, no difference.
I have tried changing USB cable (only cable) and device begin charging normally again.
I don't think it's something software related..
But if you have already tried with another charger and problem is still there..
I'm really frustrated. I don't know what is happening to my g4, since 2 month's I noticed heavy red screen ghosting, too. The phone was already repaired once from lg, there the problem was that it won't boot up anymore.. Next time I won't buy lg..

I got problems with display too..
Both lateral sides are brighter than the rest of the screen.
Especially with dark images it is absolutely horrible.
Will never ever buy LG anymore.
same problem here with the ghosting and the super slow charge some times battery goes down even while plugged to original charger, had a G2 before this, love the phone was almost flawless, this one I had it for almost a year now, piece of **** full of problems, now after the lates OTA the unlocking is retardedly slow, I double tap for unlocking the screen wakes up but dimmed and unresponsive and after a second it fully wakes up, I'm so frustrated with this piece of ****, the only good thing is the camera. Btw regarding the slow charging problem, I tried with different batteries and chargers and same results (I'm fully stock, no root no nothing)

my problem is that sometimes it just doesn't charge at all the led blinks and i wake up for 0%
Hi, I just got an RMA device and realized that while I am charging (with original charger), after a few minutes or so my screen becomes laggy. Not unusable but just laggier than when it's not plugged in. It gets fixed for a few minutes by turning off my display and turning it back on, but then it comes back. Anyone else have this problem?

I would think if plugging in gets you lag it might possibly be from syncing Google Photos and updating apps. I use my phone while plugged in during my driving and Android Auto or playing YouTube and screen reaction feels fine.
