Try doing the following
Code:
fastboot oem lock begin
Now enter all the commands to flash stock firmware then
Code:
fastboot oem lock
So you should end up with something like this
Code:
fastboot oem lock begin
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot oem lock
Be aware that you can still tell the bootloader has been previously unlocked as normally when you unlock the bootloader it blows a fuse which can never be replaced (I presume unless you replace the entire motherboard)
Okay I'll try that. Cheers
Doesn't work! Just says "still require signed boot.img"

And I presume you have flashed boot.img from an official firmware during the process
If so find another firmware or I don't know the answer
So does that mean i can't relock my bootloader!?
RIGHT! I've locked the bootloader but now everytime i boot it. It says "Your device has loaded a different operating system" it would be great if it didn't

it means you need a signed boot.img so if the one you are flashing during the process isnt signed find another
try this one

There probably is a way but without doing it all myself I cant tell you
It's okay now. I think thanks anyway

The issue is in the signed boot image. you see, you need the official motorola firmware to be able to lock the bootloader again as they only have the signed boot images. :/
Why are you trying to relock the bootloader btw?

So I wanted to return to stock, but now all I have access to is fast boot, with no OS on my device and it's no rooted, unlocked or anything. What do I do!?
You will need to flash back to the factory Google Image through fastboot. Check out the unroot guide to get the image and how to flash.
Remember to root and flash CWM afterwards.
Edit: Guess you don't need root or CWM if you want stock.

I tried that, for some reason I can't get it to work. Maybe the instructions are not clear. I'd REALLY appreciate if you can clarify them for me!
Here's what you do.
1. Extract the Google images to your fastboot.exe directory. You should have:
- bootloader-maguro-primekk15.img
- radio-maguro-i9250xxkk6.img
- image-yakju-icl53f.zip
2. Boot into bootloader and THEN plug in your phone
3. Run "fastboot devices" to make sure fastboot reads the phone
4. Type the following commands to flash all 3 images. Be sure to check your phone and wait for each command to finish.
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primekk15.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxkk6.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-yakju-icl53f.zip

sry for my bad English
I was a custom rom and I change it to the HTC original one (with my nandroid backup) then I relock my boot loader and try to upgrade officially to 4.0.4 from 4.0.3 I click update and then the phone shut off and go to thr bootloader
what I can do to update my officially HTC rom
plz help me guys
If you are on stock there is no need to relock the bootloader .... You restored a nandroid that was taken with a custom recovery, my guess is that you did not flash back the stock recovery !

yes here is it
C:\fastboot>Fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.29.461.11
finished. total time: 0.094s
C:\fastboot>
Then you have to download the 1.29 recovery from the first link i have you
Flash it and it should be fine
If your bootloader is locked now you have to relock it
Put the unlock_code.bin file and the recovery in the fastboot folder and do the commands with the phone in the fastboot usb mode
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
It will unlock the bootloader and then
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery "name of the recovery".img
Fastboot erase cache
After that try to update again. You can keep the bootloader unlocked

How to flash with recovery .?
You can't flash it with the recovery it has to be done manually with fastboot commands, see my post above yours
And how is your battery holding up, enough power, otherwise recharge it first to full before you start. If you end up with problems you have at least a full battery to solve it

If you have a HTC one XL you are in the wrong forum, you have to go to the AT&T ,rogers, HTC one XL forum........hold the volume - button and the power button until it restarts in the bootloader, it will be written there if its locked, unlocked or relocked. And it will probably say EVITA at the top, this forum is for the ENDEAVORU type phone. If it says EVITA do not flash anything from here you might cause a brick !
hi i have the htc one x international. I really really need help. My htc one x was on viper x then i wanted to flash to cm10.1 but i failed. I then realized that i have to update my HBOOT. And so i did. And now it has been relocked. When I tried to boot my phone, my sd card is not available, my phone can't have signal, almost everything is impossible to do. I also cannot go into CWM recovery.
What i can do now is only go to my boot loader by pressing volume down and power button. What should i do?
If you want to be able to get into recovery again try to type in the shell
Fastboot erase cache

I did fastboot erase cache through cmd, and when i tried to go to recovery, it showed me a flatphone, a triangle with an exclamation mark
You just need to unlock it again mate thats why it says "relocked" and you cant do nothing with your custom rom / recovery

Hello
I flashed a new bootloader version via
Code:
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
Now fastboot is showing a penguin. It still works but once I turn on the phone, reboot or go to fastboot mode I see this penguin.
What does that mean? And how to get the old screen back?
