try to dowgrade from nougat to marshmallow, according method in detail, and at the end of the flash in the recovery "dm-verity verification failed to check drk first" any solution?
SOLUTION:
SOLUTION: ROOT AGAIN
So im not entirely sure what solution root again is all about. But my story starts here. I work in IT for a company that issues phones out to all employees, and we have 100s, I was recently contracted by IT to do some FRP Bypass, and have been successful until I tried to walk someone doing this to an S7 Active, and they failed repeatedly just in trying to restore the phone with ODIN. They mailed me the phone, and now I have the dm-verity error DRK not installed. I have tried everything I can think of (do not have access to any box or key) so I tried rooting the phone. I have tried both the 6.0.1 and 7.0 roots. Most recently the 7.0, i can flash the eng kernel but it does not boot. Occasionally I can get to the setup screen, but mostly it just sits on the ATT globe or restores to a black screen. I can't actually set the phone up. It is currently FRP locked but I'm not worred about that for now. Any help is appreciated, I would settle for a complete restore to stock, but all FW I have tried (BL2) fails to boot do to DRK.
what firmware was it on ? which have you tried ?..
are you using the princecomsy modified Odin ?
have you tried the qd4 from my thread ?

I have tried every fw I can find on bl2 including the qd4 from your thread. I have tried both official and prince Odin. All to the same results. Right now I believe the device is on pi2 with the 6.0.1 eng AP. That is the only way I can boot the os. The 7.0 eng AP bootloops.
I have successfully rooted my 930a multiple times and many other devices so I am experienced. Not that it matters but I was also able to turn the FRP lock off using the eng AP.
Edit... Obviously I am using 6.0.1 eng with matching fw and tried the 7.0eng with qd4. I can Odin any fw that is on BL2 successfully but without the eng AP nothing will fully boot. And doing 100% stock Odin reflashes does not fix drk
Any final thoughts?
Edit... I shipped the phone back to my company, (it wasn't a personal device). And told them it needed to stay on 6.0 eng to function. And advised they dia it.
I have some proplem with Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920VZMA , after flash rom DQD1 has loop boot error "dm-verity error …… failed code : 0x002" Please help.

Dear friends, it's the first time that I write a thread seeking your help.
I purchased my note 4 N910H 5.1.1 few weeks ago and I discovered that battery drains in a horrible fast way even if it is turned off (6 to 7 hours max). I read that many people had the same problem and that after a downgrade to kitkat this issue was solved. So I decided to do so.
I tried all methods I found on forums; all files I found on sammobile. No success.
I only could install 2 files..
1- N910HXXU2COJ4_N910HOLB2COJ2_N910HXXU1COJ2_HOME.tar is a 5.1.1 with CSC from Cambodia (CAM). I don't think it is the good one coz after installing it I could not do an update with kies (shows an unknown error).
2- N910HXXU2COJ4_N910HOJV2COJ1_N910HXXU1COJ2_HOME.tar is also a 5.1.1 with CSC from Iraq (MID). With it, kies accepted to update firmware without problems, so I think it's the good one.
I also found a 4 files ROM N910HXXU1ANJ4_OLB1ANJ4 it is a kitkat ROM but can not be flashed (Odin shows nand writing error). I tries to flash this rom without loading Bootloader file.. it worked but phone was stuck on a bootloop and could start again only after flashing 5.1.1 ROM.
I think that bootloader is locked or secured somehow and refuses all roms.
What is the solution? is there an other kitkat ROM with same actual bootloader maybe? is there a way to change bootloader version?

Thanks, but didn't help. Any other ideas?
I was trying to root my samsung galaxy a5 2017 with TWRP and I accidentally deleted system data. Then, I tried rebooting the phone and it got stuck in a bootloop. To fix this problem I tried flashing stock 8.0 firmware from sammobile via odin and I got this error:
Sw rev. Check fail. Device: 6, binary 5. I think that this means I have to flash the latest stock firmware but there isn't a newer one.
After that, I tried to use my phone by flashing a custom rom (Lineage 15.1) and I discovered that I have no imei,no baseband and no ip adress. I have installed many custom roms but the issue is still there. I am trying to get my phone to work with stock firmware and fix the IMEI issue but odin wont let me flash because of that error. I would appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks.
Flash a firmware version that contains S6 or U6 in the middle, it won't work with U5/S5! Not the Samsung phone S5 or S6, but rather, the firmware version.
For cellular, change the modem firmware, or backup and wipe /data/. /data/data/?.
Unless the efs was wiped (probably not if the baseband version isn't there, load a backup then, only if the efs was wiped don't restore it otherwise, and it must not be a backup created with an older twrp, view the recovery log in the backup folder)

Listen to me, it happened to me 2 days ago, and I came to the conclusion that I was not flash the latest firmware. You need to flash the same firmware with the same bootloader or more recent, the error you receive is because you are flashing an older version of bootloader. Do one thing, type the code *#1234# on the phone keypad
mark the code that gives you on 'AP and look it on Sammobile at https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-a5/SM-A520F/ITV/ select your language and look for the firmware with your own code . You will see that odin flash it.
Samsung A520F Custom Binary Error
Hello please I have been trying to reload my Samsung A520F firmware for a couple of weeks
It all started with the phone trying to update (over WIFI) and somewhere along the line files must have gotten corrupted
This led to the phone constantly restart and shutting down applications
I decided to just download the firmware and use Odin to reload. This, unfortunately, didn't go so well as now the phone isn't starting up anymore but can still get to download mode.
PDA firmware is A520FXXUACSE6
Region is EUR
Network is OPEN
every time I use this firmware I get the error
" Custom binary (BOOT) Blocked by FRP Lock
Please note currently at the moment phone refuses to boot up I read about removing OEM lock and don't know if this is the problem.
Please could you help out

Obviously you are frp locked. But I didn't think that blocked from flashing official.
Recently I rooted my S9 and installed Lineage OS but I didnt like it and decided to swap back to the stock OS. I used Frija to get the .tar.md5 files for Odin but once I select all the files and hit start the log in Odin loads up to system.img then stops and I get the SW REV. CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 7. BINARY: 6 error on my phone. Any idea on how to fix this? I'd really appreciate some help as I'm going to be travelling soon and I need my phone for it and I'd prefer not to use Lineage OS. Thanks in advance.
Do you have an At&t branded phone? SM-G960U?
I am having a very similar problem. A customer came in and was having issues with device. I told them to back up, wipe, and update device. That didn't work so I tried a full flash with ODIN. Now I can't get the phone to boot at all and it says, "Secure Check Fail : Modem" and "Unauthorized software visit nearest AT&T blah, blah,..)
I think it is because AT&T has pushed out the latest update(OCT. 18th), but the Odin files are not out yet. According to:
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tutorial.html#!/stepbystep/id/stepbystep_KM1253489?make=Samsung&model=SamsungG965U
G960USQS7CSI5 is the latest FW. If you google it, there are only four results.
Yep, the problem was the phone was on the latest FW. Newer firmware was just uploaded a few days ago.
I flashed:
G960USQU7CSJ2_G960UOYN7CSJ2_CHA
and now I'm booting again.
Your problem is that your firmware is too old. Basically, you are trying to downgrade your FW. The phone is basically saying, "Hey, I have bootloader 7, I won't let you install something lower than that."

^^^^ this ^^^^
the Odin error is telling you that youre trying to flash a revision of the bootloader than was last installed on the phone. to to sammobile.com/fimrwares and get the one with the correct bootloader for your specific phone and flash that.
also download the firmware with the frija tool or samfirm. trust me, its literallt 5x faster than a direct download from the site. The 5 min it takes to get samfirm up and running is worth it, believe me on that.
I may be new to this, But I just Flashed a SM-g960u, That Had Bootloader7 locked on it, When I would go into download mode I would see FRP ON, and this Firmware G960USQU7CSK6. So I downloaded a Combination Firmware file. Used Odin Patched, Flashed it there is a guide out there. Restarted into the Settings, Turned on Developer mode, USB Debugging, and Was able to change OEM-Software install. Then I was able to load this phone after, with G960USQS7CSI5 with ease My first flash and I had to bypass a FRP and a Bootloader lock. Now I should be able to flash this to the U1 version unlocked and be good! If you need any help I did just do this last night I can guide you in the right dirrection. Litterally I had no help from here as in asking questions I am pretty savy. So you need to make sure your Version has the "7" in the Same Place. Also after I enabled those things while in the phone before Flashing it I chose the Factory Reset from within, SO it erashed EVERYTHING except Download Mode and the Combination Firm Loaded. Meaning I should have been able to flash to anything I wanted

Ok so first you should post I'm your devices threads but that aside. Here's what's up. You can't downgrade the error shown is saying your device is on a bit 7 binary. Your trying to flash a bit 3 binary which isn't even 2 you need to find your respective firmware in a bit 7 or higher.

yes, if you get a firmware version matching the one last installed on your device, itll go right thru and boot just fine. Goodlock is finally working on all modules for A10 as well. Maybe we will see more development occur with this shutdown going on. Let us know if you run into any trouble, the error you were getting is totally resolvable!
at the end I give up on it..! my internet 2 slow 4 go downloading & trying rom after rom.! i am from venezuela.

I have S20+ running Android 11 with U7 Binary. I tried downgrading to Androi 10 which has Binary U5. Now I have downloaded the Binary U5 file. But in some video, he is telling that you should download the Binary File with the same number as it is currently installed in your phone, which in my case is U7. So? Am I supposed to download U7 Combination Binary file and flash it in order to downgrade to Android 10
OR
Should I flash the U5 Combination File and flash the Android 10 AP, CSC, BL, HOME ???
Someone has Combination file to G960F with bootloader SF (Version 15)?

Hi and thank you.
I used Odin3 V 3.14.4 and the prince comsy (for the U1 firmware) versions.
I tried flashing:
G960USQU8FTJ3
G960USQS8ETH6
And the newest U1 firmware.
The U1 failed, FTJ3 (TMOBILE) failed, but ETH6(Sprint) passed but still getting a boot loop.
Samsung drivers are installed and odin is recognizing the phone. I used BL, AP, CP , and CSC.
